The police spokesperson said that they had spotted a male companion with the victim in the neighbourhood and both were dressed "like vampires". Watch: 'Zombie' drug Xylazine found in cannabis THC vapes in UK As per a witness, the man had dark hair and olive skin and the woman was "emaciated" and pale. She looked like a "walking corpse," said the witness, to the police detectives. The woman was reportedly wearing a sweatshirt underneath a black coat and beige leggings when the police found her. They also found a container of pink marshmallows as well as some goods which she had purchased from a nearby store next to the body. When the dead body of the woman was found by a local person, she did not possess any phone or paperwork with her, as per the authorities. (With inputs from agencies)

Bringing a spooky story to life, the face of a 16th-century woman - who was believed to be a vampire by the Italian locals - was recreated by the scientists.

Speaking to the South West News Service regarding the bizarre discovery, forensic researcher Cicero Moraes said, “When they supposedly identified a vampire, one of those responsible for the plague according to popular myth at the time, they introduced the stone [brick] as a protective element, preventing it from feeding and also from infecting other people."

The case filed against Brittany Watts – a woman from Ohio – who had suffered a miscarriage and was facing indictment for abuse of a corpse, will not be taken forward, decided the grand jury on Thursday (Jan 11).

The grand jury of Trumbull County, Ohio, refused to indict Watts, against whom a case was filed by the police after she suffered a miscarriage in September. The judges cancelled the indictment by returning a “no-bill” in Watts’s case.

The case has led to nationwide shock and outcry. It is being held as an example by experts in reproductive health and justice of how pregnant women can easily face criminal consequences, since the overturning of Roe v Wade.

Earlier, Watts had visited the hospital and was showing signs that her water had broken prematurely. Such a condition makes it impossible to carry on with pregnancy and if the woman is not treated, she can slip into deadly sepsis.

A 40-year-old US Air Force sergeant, Charles Bass III, was arrested after he pointed his gun at a 19-year-old Shi’Anna Bamba on December 5 during a confrontation about the woman allegedly changing lanes while driving side by side.

The chilling confrontation was captured on camera. The footage showed Bass pointing a handgun at Bamba and shouting, "Do you want to f***ing die!" This disturbing incident took place in Surprise, Arizona.

The altercation began when Bamba, having dropped off her sibling at a local school, allegedly cut off Bass while driving, a claim the woman denies.

The tension escalated as they drove side by side, eventually stopping at a red light. It was at this point that Bamba, feeling threatened, took out her phone and started recording the intense ordeal.

In the video, Bass can be heard menacingly shouting at Bamba. Bass can also be seen in the footage brandishing a handgun straight in her direction.

The shaken woman recounted that Bass pointed the gun at her once more before driving away, the New York Post reported.

Reflecting on the incident, Bamba expressed the fear she felt in a conversation with ABC media outlet. She said, “I called my mom right there after realising that I could have died right there.”

She said, “I called my mom right there after realising that I could have died right there.” Also Read | Ancient Buddha statues in China damaged after being painted over as a mark of devotion Disputing the official account documented in court records, Bamba insisted, “I didn’t make (the lane switch). CAUGHT ON CAMERA! US Air Force Sergeant points gun at woman during road rage altercation, held

A woman, taking to TikTok, made a strange claim that she was sacked by her company for her mysterious antics at their Christmas party, after making a promise that she would ‘behave’.

The woman said that she was thrown from her job after she attended the party and shared the termination letter, which was sent by her boss, on TikTok.

The woman, whose name is Molly, shared a music clip from the famous movie “The Hangover” as well as Flo Rida’s “Right Round” as she made the promise that she would “behave at the staff party.”

After this, a note appeared on the right side of her selfie which panned out as a letter sent by her boss to inform her that she had been sacked.

“Dear Molly, It is with regret that I must confirm the outcome of my investigation into the events that took place at the staff Christmas party on Saturday evening,” reads the letter at the start.

Gross misconduct, says Molly's boss

The former employee of Molly, who did not speak about her occupation, informed the girl that she “risked putting the reputation of the nursery into disrepute”

“This amounts to gross misconduct. As you are still on your probationary period, I had no option but to terminate your contract of employment with immediate effect,” the letter stated.

However, the letter did not specifically detail what Molly did or the reason behind her firing.

“You will be paid any holiday that you have accrued along with your hours for this month in your final pay packet on 7th January,” stated the letter.

In another video, Molly said that she could not speak over the incident even though she was offered money to speak about it by people across social media. She accepted that allegedly there was involvement of somebody else and mentioned that they “played an equal part in what happened,” even though that person did not leave their job.

“Unfortunately, without her permission, I can’t actually upload a story time [explain what happened] again but I mean if she one day says ‘you know what, go ahead with it, just don’t use my name, whatever,’ then I will post it,” said Molly.

The comments by Molly on the original video were removed. The video has now more than 2.5 million views even though many curious users have been asking how this happened.

“How come she kept her job but you got sacked when you both did the same?,” commented one person, replying to which Molly said, “She’s been there over 2 years, whereas I was fairly new.”

“You can’t call it a story time and not tell us the story,” said another frustrated user. “If you both had a part to play, she [the friend] should have lost her job, too. Doesn’t matter how long she’s worked there,” told a third person.

‘Gross misconduct’: Woman fails to 'behave' at company's Christmas party, loses job

In a rarely-heard incident, a woman narrated how she decided to quit her job after her coworkers treated her like a 'doormat' and later confessed that after leaving the office she changed everyone's passwords, leaving the entire office in jeopardy. The woman took to Reddit where she narrated how toxic was the work environment in her office and how she took sweet revenge on her boss after quitting.

In the post, the woman disclosed that she changed the email password of her manager, which was important for the restaurant's operational data where she used to work. The story narrated by the woman became so popular that it was shared by Reddit on their Instagram page with the caption “Good for her", which followed the snapshots from the original post. However, the story also sparked discussions regarding her actions, which some felt were childish while others supported her.

Explaining her situation, the user said, “I don’t even care that this was immature and petty of me. I can’t stress how awfully I was treated in this job, and how the entire team joined in on it. I was the only woman on the team so it could’ve been that but I don’t want to play the gender card. I was never rude to these guys. I’m not too fond of confrontation so I used to be a doormat. I was afraid to rock the boat, so I just accepted how I was treated.”

I can’t stress how awfully I was treated in this job, and how the entire team joined in on it. I was the only woman on the team so it could’ve been that but I don’t want to play the gender card. I was never rude to these guys. I’m not too fond of confrontation so I used to be a doormat. I was afraid to rock the boat, so I just accepted how I was treated.” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Reddit (@reddit) × “One evening, I went home for the night and never went back. Woman takes sweet revenge on office, quits toxic job and then changes all employees’ passwords

A woman had a near-death experience in the United States after she lost consciousness and was declared clinically dead for 24 minutes. The doctors declared author Lauren Canaday as "clinically dead" after her heart suddenly stopped beating.

After remaining unconscious for nearly half an hour, the woman was resuscitated. As she woke up, the woman said she had no memory of the past week. During an 'Ask Me Anything' session held on Reddit, the woman revealed her experience. The woman said that she was taken to the hospital where she remained in a coma for two days.

Canaday further thanked her husband who started her CPR early and said that he would also be her "hero". "I went into sudden cardiac arrest at home this past February - my husband called 911 and started CPR. It took 24 minutes for EMTs to resuscitate me. After 9 days in the ICU, I was declared 'cognitively intact' and have no visible brain damage on MRIs," said Canaday, in the Reddit post.

US woman comes alive 24 minutes after declared clinically dead, shares experience

A 56-year-old Australian woman who had served a 20-year prison sentence for the death of her four children had her convictions formally quashed by a court, her lawyers said.

On Thursday (Dec 14), the New South Wales (NSW) Supreme Court found that Kathleen Folbigg was wrongfully convicted declaring that the evidence originally used against her was “not reliable”.

She is expected to seek compensation from the NSW government after the court overturned her conviction.

Often described as one of “Australia's greatest miscarriages of justice”, Folbigg tried to legally challenge the charges through a string of appeals, but they were turned down every time.

The matter was taken up again earlier this year after a landmark inquiry by a retired judge found reasonable doubt over her guilt.

'How can I kill my own children?'

On Thursday, she burst into tears outside the court as she thanked the “updated science and genetics” saying that it had given her “answers” as to how her children died.

She also criticised the “system” for wrongly blaming her for murdering her children.

“My children are here with me today and they will be close to my heart for the rest of my life,” she told reporters.

“The system and society need to think before they blame a parent of hurting their children.”

“However, even in 1999, we had legal answers to prove my innocence, but they were ignored and dismissed,” she said.

The court had jailed Folbigg in 2003 on three counts of murder and one of manslaughter after the deaths of her four babies—Caleb, Patrick, Sarah, and Laura —each of whom died suddenly between 1989 and 1999, aged between 19 days and 18 months.

Media declared her 'Australia’s worst serial killer'

The first three deaths were initially attributed to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), a term used when babies less than a year old die for no apparent reason.

At 18 months, Laura was the longest-lived of Folbigg’s children, and police began investigating after a forensic pathologist determined the cause of her death as “undetermined".
