The suspension comes in the backdrop of one of the largest classified intelligence leaks in US history. 21-year-old Teixeira allegedly leaked the sensitive documents in a chatroom for gamers, Thug Shaker Central, on Discord, an instant messaging platform, primarily used by the gaming community. According to reports, Teixeira leaked highly sensitive information including details about troop movement in Russia’s war with Ukraine. Teixeira said in the chat group that he was able to access the documents because he worked on a “military base". The accused was referring to the 102nd Intelligence Wing at Otis Air National Guard Base where he was assigned the task to manage and troubleshoot computers and communications systems for the Air Force. While Teixeira had been leaking the classified documents for several months it was only earlier this year that the US authorities became aware of such a breach. After US media carried the reports, a manhunt was launched the nab the mole. After much speculation, Teixeira was arrested earlier this month. He has been charged with unauthorised removal of classified national defence information and willful retention of classified documents. The contract is worth up to $1.2 billion and will involve Boeing developing two new variants of the E-7 for the Air Force.

The E-7A is a modern, technologically advanced aircraft that uses the 737-700 narrowbody as its base, providing a significant upgrade over the much older 707 used for the E-3.

Introduced in 2009, the E-7A can track and provide real-time data for airborne targets and control and direct individual aircraft.

The E-7A is set to be the Department's principal airborne sensor for detecting, identifying, tracking, and reporting all airborne activity to Joint Force Commanders.

The E-7A has already been used by other countries, including the Royal Australian Air Force, the Republic of Korea Air Force, the Turkish Air Force, and the United Kingdom's Royal Air Force.

Australia was the first plane customer and deployed it in Iraq and Syria alongside the US military.

Boeing Defence Australia Managing Director Scott Carpendale said that his team was working on using its local capabilities to support the US programme, as it had done with Britain's.

"What that looks like is to be determined, and it is guided by US requirements, US security considerations, export control restrictions or parameters and then where we best utilise our talent," he told reporters on the sidelines of the Australian International Airshow.

Regarding updating its airborne early warning and control capabilities, the US Air Force has made great progress with the decision to replace its old fleet of E-3s with the E-7A.

The Air Force will be better equipped to identify, track, and report airborne activities because of the E-7A's cutting-edge technology and state-of-the-art aircraft base, offering Joint Force Commanders a decisive advantage in their mission to safeguard and defend American interests home and abroad.

US Air Force general warns of high probability of war with China as early as 2025

China's defence ministry has accused the US military of misguiding the public about a previous confrontation between the two forces in the South China Sea about the disputed Paracel Islands.&nbsp;Two days after the US military alleged that a Chinese Navy aircraft flew dangerously close to a US air force jet, the defence ministry of China has accused the US military of fudging information, Reuters reported. 
 
ccording to a defence ministry spokesperson, the US military plane violated international law and compromised the safety of Chinese pilots.

On Thursday, the US military claimed that a Navy J-11 fighter jet from China came within three metres of US air force RC-135 aircraft on December 21. China's action pushed the US military to take unavoidable steps to prevent a collision between the two.

"The United States deliberately misleads public opinion to confuse the international audience," Tian said. "We solemnly request the US side to restrain the actions of frontline naval and air forces, strictly abide by related international laws and agreements, and prevent accidents in the sea and the air," he continued.

China accuses US military of distorting information about close aircraft encounter

The United States on Friday (December 3) unveiled B-21 Raider, a high-tech stealth bomber that can carry both nuclear and conventional weapons. The bomber is designed to fly without a crew on board.&nbsp;

The bomber was unveiled at a slickly choreographed ceremony at Northrop Grumman's facility in Palmdale, California. Northrop Grumman is manufacturing the bomber. The ceremony opened with US national anthem as older bombers roared over a crowd that included top US officials.

Dramatic music played and lights flashed as the doors of a hanger holding the new aircraft slowly opened, and the crowd applauded as the cloth covering it was pulled away to reveal a sleek grey bomber that is on track to cost nearly $700 million per plane.

"The B-21 Raider is the first strategic bomber in more than three decades. It is a testament to America's enduring advantages in ingenuity and innovation," US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said in remarks at the ceremony.

Many specifics of the aircraft are being kept under wraps, but the plane will offer significant advances over existing bombers in the US fleet, which Austin highlighted in his remarks.

He hailed its range -- "no other long-range bomber can match its efficiency" -- and its durability, saying it is "designed to be the most maintainable bomber ever built".

Like the F-22 and F-35 warplanes, the B-21 features stealth technology, which minimizes an aircraft's signature through both its shape and the materials it is constructed from, making it harder for adversaries to detect.

"Fifty years of advances in low-observable technology have gone into this aircraft," Austin said. "Even the most sophisticated air defence systems will struggle to detect the B-21 in the sky."

The plane is also built with an "open system architecture," which allows for the incorporation of "new weapons that haven't even been invented yet," he said.

He hailed its range -- "no other long-range bomber can match its efficiency" -- and its durability, saying it is "designed to be the most maintainable bomber ever built". Like the F-22 and F-35 warplanes, the B-21 features stealth technology, which minimizes an aircraft's signature through both its shape and the materials it is constructed from, making it harder for adversaries to detect. "Fifty years of advances in low-observable technology have gone into this aircraft," Austin said. "Even the most sophisticated air defence systems will struggle to detect the B-21 in the sky." The plane is also built with an "open system architecture," which allows for the incorporation of "new weapons that haven't even been invented yet," he said. The SPAR19 US Air Force plane made its journey from &nbsp;Kuala Lumpur's Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport (SZB) to Songshan Airport (TSA) in Taipei covering nearly 2,000 miles and was reportedly tracked by over 708,000 people around the world.

Flight radar data showed during the seven-hour flight from Kuala Lumpur to Taipei&nbsp;a total of 2.92 million people followed at least a portion of the flight.

According to Flightradar24, the SPAR19 flight to Taipei was tracked live by&nbsp;300,000 users online. Taiwanese fighter jets escorted Pelosi's plane during&nbsp;the final leg of the journey as China began its military exercise in the region close to Taiwan.

SPAR 19 plane: Features

According to reports, the SPAR19 is a modified Boeing 737 now called Boeing C-40C. It provides safe transportation to US leaders worldwide and carries US Cabinet and Congress leaders. The body of the aircraft is based on a commercial Boeing 737-700 business jet and it has an integrated GPS and flight management system onboard.

The plane has a rest area including sleep accommodation with business class seating and worktables and is known as an "office in the sky".

The US Air Force has decided not to take any disciplinary action against the C-17 aircraft crew that flew out of Kabul airport in Afghanistan during the abrupt and chaotic evacuation of American forces even though human body parts were discovered in the wheel’s well when the plane landed in Qatar.

The inquiry concluded that the crew “acted appropriately” in departing the Hamid Karzai International Airport, Afghanistan, in August 2021.

In a statement released on Monday, they said that the crew used sound judgment "in their decision to get airborne as quickly as possible when faced with an unprecedented and rapidly deteriorating security situation."

"The aircrew's airmanship and quick thinking ensured the safety of the crew and their aircraft. After seeking appropriate care and services to help cope with any trauma from this unprecedented experience, the crew returned to flight status," the US Air Force also said Monday.

On August 16, a day after the Taliban took over Afghanistan and ousted the civilian government, hundreds of people reached the airport to take the US aircraft in a bid to leave the country fearing retribution from the Taliban and the return of fundamental Islamist laws.

"My friends from Texas, California, New Jersey, and New York are messaging me and my parents that they are very happy something like this happened in the Air Force," said Shah.&nbsp;

Lead test pilot Benjamin Williamson said the capability will allow "pilots to confidently switch back and forth between autonomy and piloted modes" and it would help to "automatically detect and prevent dangerous situations that lead to accidents, thereby saving lives."

The Black Hawk used &nbsp;ALIAS technology which the company said was a "leap ahead in autonomy for a range of systems". The technology reportedly increases safety and allows pilots to reimagine battlefield condictions.

“The potential for ALIAS to transform warfare is unlimited, whether we are talking about unmanned or manned platforms," Dr. Stuart Young, the DARPA ALIAS programme manager said.

As per the New York Times newspaper, several confidential documents that highlighted more than 1,300 reports of civilian casualties during air wars in Middle East. This was justified by the government as a part of the wars fought with ‘precision bombs’.<o:p></o:p>

The newspaper has also claimed that the number of civilian deaths has been largely underreported by the US authorities and at least several hundreds of innocent civilians had lost their lives during these air wars.<o:p></o:p>

One such incident cited was bombing by US forces in northern Syria on July 19, 2016 during which it was reported that 85 fighters had been killed by the authorities. However, reports are now stating that 120 farmers and villagers were the ones who were killed during this strike.<o:p></o:p>

Similarly, during a November 2015 attack in Iraq’s Ramadi, the US forces had targeted a man carrying an ‘unidentified object’ into an Islamic State position. That ‘unidentified object’ was actually a small child, the report claimed.

Poor or inadequate surveillance footage has been given as a plausible reason behind such gruesome errors in these air wars.<o:p></o:p>

This report comes at a time when the world had already been questioning the US forces for its attack on an ‘unidentified vehicle’ and house in Kabul (a few days after Taliban took control of Afghanistan). What was described as an attack on possible IS militants actually turned out to be an error-filled attack on 10 members of a family, including minors.<o:p></o:p>

In a statement on Monday, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) revealed that it tested its Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept last week in association with the US Air Force and Raytheon. &nbsp;

According to its website, DARPA has been exploring technology involving hypersonic speeds, which can be five times faster than the speed of sound as it offers “the potential for military operations from longer ranges with shorter response times and enhanced effectiveness compared to current military systems.” &nbsp;

Space Force now has a squadron of 20 airmen stationed at Qatar's Al-Udeid Air Base in its first foreign deployment.

Several American lawmakers view the branch, with its projected force of 16,000 troops and 2021 budget of $15.4 billion, as a vanity project for Trump ahead of the November presidential election.

The decision to deploy Space Force personnel at Al-Udeid follows months of escalating tensions between the US and Iran.

Hostilities between the two countries, ignited by Trump's unilateral withdrawal of the US from Iran's nuclear accord, came to a head in January when US forces killed a top Iranian general. Iran responded by launching ballistic missiles at American soldiers in Iraq.

US Space Force deploys its first troops to Arabian Peninsula

The US Air Force has said that two Russian aircraft made an "unsafe, unprofessional" intercept of its B-52 bomber on Friday over the Black Sea and in international waters.

According to a statement from US Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa Public Affairs, the Russia pilots crossed within 100 feet of the nose of the B-52 multiple times and also caused turbulence to the B-52 restricting its ability to manoeuver.

"While the Russian aircraft were operating in international airspace, they jeopardised the safety of flight of the aircraft involved. We expect them to operate within international standards set to ensure safety and prevent accidents," the statement added.
