<p>The incident happened on June 18 in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia when a 22-year-old woman fell from the third floor of a gym while working out on a treadmill. The video of the unusual incident shows a large open window behind the woman on the treadmill.</p>

<p>She desperately attempted to hold onto&nbsp;the window frame, as seen in the video, but failed to grab it and fell down three stories. She was immediately taken to the hospital, as per the New York Post report, but due to serious head injuries, doctors couldn’t save her life. Her autopsy revealed that she suffered extensive bruising and lacerations to her head.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Accident or negligence?</strong></h2>

<p>An investigation revealed that the distance between the treadmill and the window from which she fell was only 60 cm. Police noted that the position of the treadmill created a ''dangerous'' situation.</p>

<p>''It's very easy for someone to fall off the treadmill and then fall down,'' Pontianak Police Commissioner Antonius Trias Kuncurojati said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Though the gym had warning stickers everywhere telling gymgoers not to open windows, the sticker was reportedly damaged.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The gym is now under investigation for alleged negligence and its operating permit will also be re-examined, the authorities said. The cops are also questioning several witnesses and seeking expert opinion.</p>

<p>The Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has taken temporary custody of the mother and child to ensure the child's safety.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A thorough investigation will be conducted, including reviewing any available evidence and interviewing the mother. This will help determine the best course of action for the child's future.</p>

<p>Despite the drone's advanced multispectral camera, searching the vast 10,000-acre forest remains a daunting task. A recent survey of only 195 acres yielded a staggering 15,780 images, hinting at the immense amount of data to be processed.</p>

<p>That’s a lot of pictures to go through, so the team has been analysing them with the help of AI.</p>

<p>“With AI, we are using an image recognition algorithm in order to recognise plants by shape,” explained Dr Laura Cinti, who is leading the project.</p>

<p>“We have generated images of plants and put them in different ecological settings, to train the model to recognise them,” she added.</p>

<p>A female plant hasn't&nbsp;been found yet, although less than two percent of the forest has been searched – researchers are currently exploring the possibility of changing the sex of a male plant.</p>

<p>The huia which was also the largest of New Zealand’s wattlebird species, known for its beautiful song was considered a prized bird, which sadly also proved fatal for the species.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The last confirmed sighting of the bird with predominantly black glossy feathers and white-tipped long-tail feathers was in 1907.&nbsp;</p>

Photographer accidentally snaps rare bird in Oregon 

<p>The police in the US state of Colorado were responding to a call about a screaming woman in the middle of the night, but none of them could have imagined what they would confront.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The incident took place earlier this month where four officers from the Greeley Police Department found a 24-year-old woman in active labour on the front porch and helped deliver her babies.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>What happened?</strong></h2>

<p>The Greeley Police Department dispatched officers at around 3:30 am (local time) in response to “reports of a woman screaming in the front yard” and found a 24-year-old woman “lying on the front porch in obvious pain,” said the department.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The officers quickly realised that the woman was in active labour and called the emergency medical personnel while trying their best to keep the woman comfortable as the ambulance arrived.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Subsequently, the officers heard a faint cry and realised that a baby boy had been delivered and he was turning blue. At the time, it was snowing and raining and the temperature was around 32 degrees Fahrenheit (zero degrees Celsius), said the police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“One officer located bread ties to tie off the umbilical cord while another ran to nearby homes and collected towels and blankets to help keep the new family warm,” said the police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A third officer who was with the new mother tied off the umbilical cord and cut it, while a fourth officer rushed the baby boy to the patrol car to keep him warm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Inside the vehicle, the baby had stopped breathing, prompting the officer to administer infant CPR, and the medical staff arrived shortly after and were able to help the child.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As it turns out, that was not the end of it. The new mother told the officer who was with her that she was expecting two more babies. The officers immediately called for more medical personnel to the scene.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A second baby boy was delivered with the help of the officers and “was also rushed to the ambulance where medical personnel were still tending to the first baby,” said the police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“The first two babies were taken to a local hospital for advanced medical care. A second ambulance arrived, and officers assisted the mother into it. She was rushed to the same hospital and immediately taken into surgery to deliver the last baby.”</p>

<h2><strong>How are the babies?</strong></h2>

<p>All three babies had strong heartbeats and were being taken care of in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), said the police.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Eric Mayeda, the father of the triplets, took to Facebook and said all the babies are “doing well!”&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Kiku and Billy are both improving by leaps and bounds! Hopefully kiku can be extubated sometime in the next week or so. Billy they are thinking maybe in the next 2 weeks,” he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also thanked the Greeley Police Department and the first responders who “help(ed) my baby boys come into this world.”</p>

<p>The ordeal lasted for about an hour and the ostrich, who broke free from a zoo named Bug City, was eventually captured by the police and firefighters around 10:30 am (local time).&nbsp;</p>

<p>No injuries or damage was reported due to the incident, said officials as per South Korean news agency Yonhap.</p>

<p>The flightless bird, identified as the four-year-old male ostrich named Tadori, was caught by the police and a local fire department using a net at a car park about 2.6 kilometres away, according to news agency Reuters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Tadori was safe and returned to the zoo in stable condition, zoo owner Choi Yun-joo told Reuters.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“His only friend, a female ostrich Tasooni, passed away about a month ago. Guess that has been tough on Tadori,” said Choi.&nbsp;</p>
