Dead mouse found in Hershey's chocolate syrup bottle leaves family in disgust

Finger in an ice cream cone, centipede in Amul ice cream, blade in an Air India meal, and now a dead mouse in a Hershey's chocolate syrup bottle. It appears you have no idea what is in your food products other than the food item itself.

A family in India released a video of a dead mouse in a bottle of Hershey's chocolate syrup bought from a quick-commerce company, which shocked the Internet. Hair emerging from the bottle is seen in the video.

Prami Sridhar shared the video on Instagram, stating that three family members consumed the infected syrup before knowing the problem and that one of them had to undergo a medical examination.

Shortly after the video went viral, Hershey commented, “Hi there, we are very sorry to see this. Please send us the UPC and manufacturing code from the bottle to consumercare@hersheys.com with the reference number 11082163 so one of our team members can assist you!”

The family is shown emptying a bottle's contents into a cup in the video. It notices something strange in the chocolate syrup. After rinsing it under running water to try to determine what it is, they find that it's a dead mouse.

The family sought to file a complaint with the business, according to Sridhar's post, but they never heard back. The report said that the girl who drank the syrup fainted and needed to be taken to the hospital, but she was well.

Sridhar concluded the post by cautioning people to inspect the items before giving them to children in the house.

“Guys, please be aware of what you’re eating and feeding your kids. This is extremely concerning and unacceptable. We are worried about the health risks and the lack of quality control. Please address this issue immediately. I demand a full investigation and assurance that this will not happen again,” Sridhar wrote.
