“I always had one goal in mind that was to play for India and I achieved it thanks to a lot of people. First of all my family, my childhood coach Tarak Sinha and Madan Sharma, under their guidance, I learnt cricket. Hence, I’m also doing that, I’m announcing my retirement from international and domestic cricket," said Dhawan in the video.

“And now when I’m bidding adieu to my cricketing journey, I have the satisfaction that I played a lot for my country. I’m really thankful to the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and DDCA (Delhi & District Cricket Association) for giving me this opportunity and all of my fans for their love and support. I just say this to myself that don’t be sad that you won’t play for your country again but always be happy that you played for your country. And it’s the biggest achievement for me that I played,” he added.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) bowling coach Sunil Joshi has confirmed that captain Shikhar Dhawan will miss the side’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) contest against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday as he continues his rehab. Dhawan has not played for PBKS since his side’s narrow defeat to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 9 and continues to struggle with a shoulder injury. PBKS will be hoping for a win on Sunday, which will keep their Playoff hopes alive.

“Shikhar, he’s under rehab, for this game he isn’t available and is being monitored closely. Hopefully, he should be back for the last two games,” said Joshi in the pre-match press conference.

Dhawan so far has scored 252 runs from five innings at an average of 30.40 and a strike rate of 125.61 with one fifty to his name. IPL 2024: Shimron Hetmyer helps clinch thriller as Rajasthan Royals return to winning ways against PBKS

Punjab Kings (PBKS) coach Sanjay Bangar has confirmed that skipper Shikhar Dhawan is out for at least seven-ten days. Sam Curran was the stand-in captain in place of Dhawan during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Rajasthan Royals on April 13. Dhawan's injury is a setback to PBKS who are already struggling with four losses in six games.

"He's having a shoulder injury, so he is likely to be out for at least a couple of days, I would say," Bangar said after the loss against RR on Saturday.

"Having an experienced opener, somebody like Shikhar, who has experience of playing on such wickets, becomes extremely crucial [for the team]. We have to wait and see how he responds to the treatment. At the moment, it seems that he could be out of action for at least seven-ten days," added the head coach.

"It wasn't the case that Jitesh was the stand-in captain. We were very clear in our mind that if at all there had to be an opening, Sam Curran will be taking over and do the job as the captain," said Bangar.

Punjab bowlers did well to make a match out of nothing but Rajasthan's West Indian duo of Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell kept their cool to take Royals home.

IPL 2024: Blow for PBKS as skipper Shikhar Dhawan out for 'seven-ten days' with injury, confirms coach Bangar

It was a strange evening in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Punjab Kings (PBKS) fans as skipper Shikhar Dhawan did not come out for the toss against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Saturday (April 13). Dhawan, who is one of the star attractions in the side was replaced by England’s T20 World Cup-winning hero and most expensive player on the team roster Sam Curran at the toss. However, there was a major reason why Dhawan was not included in the PBKS side.

Reason revealed for Dhawan’s omission

According to Cricbuzz, it is reported that Dhawan picked up a niggle in the build-up to the match and was therefore not available for selection. Atharva Taide was roped in as a substitute for Dhawan while Ashutosh Sharma continues to be part of the bench.

So far in the IPL 2024, Dhawan has scored 152 runs in five matches and averages 30.2 for the season. However, Atharva Taide did not make the most of his opportunity and was dismissed for 15 off 12 by Avesh Khan in his first over for the side. Avesh was called in as the first change in the bowling unit by Samson which paid dividends for away side.

At the time of writing, PBKS were 29/1 in 4.3 overs with Jonny Bairstow (10) and Prabhsimran Singh (2) in the middle.

“Shikhar picked up a niggle, that's why I'm here. We would have bowled first as well, but we'll now have to put the runs on the board. The balance has been good, we'd have liked to win a few more games, but the middle-order looks good, especially Shashank and Ashutosh. We've got exciting players and plenty of quality. We've Atharva Taide coming in for Shikhar tonight, Livingstone is back as well,” stand-in skipper Curran said at the toss.

Dhawan, who is one of the star attractions in the side was replaced by England’s T20 World Cup-winning hero and most expensive player on the team roster Sam Curran at the toss. However, there was a major reason why Dhawan was not included in the PBKS side. IPL 2024, Match 11: Lucknow Super Giants vs Punjab Kings - Match preview and result prediction

Microeconomics has a simple concept of opportunity-cost which applies perfectly to the current state of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 ahead of their Saturday’s encounter at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

The concept means the cost of giving up something to get something else. You cannot have all things ‘best’ at once and hence need to decide which one to focus on first.

In IPL, tactics and strategy have become the opportunity cost for LSG and PBKS in their attempt to gather consistent runs from captains KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan.

KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan were among the top-10 highest run-scorers in every IPL season between 2018 and 2023. As the second and fourth-highest run-scorers overall in this period (more than the likes of Virat Kohli), they were your sure-shot candidates for Orange Caps, your run-machines at the top of the order, certain to give starts in every second game.

The first time they both fell off the top 10 was in IPL 2023 - when they were captains of the respective teams at the same time.

For starters, Rahul’s numbers have fallen since he took up captaincy in the IPL in 2020. Till 2019, he had an overall strike rate of 137.79, which, instead of going up in his prime years, has come down to 134.38. In IPL 2018 and 2019, Rahul’s strike rate in powerplay overs was around 141, which plummeted to just over 109 in 2022 and 2023.

He has shown an aversion to shift to the middle-order, which has meant that LSG’s new signing Devdutt Padikkal, who is best suited to opening as well, has to bat at number three.

Moreover, Rahul’s slow strike rate at the top deprives deliveries to the team’s middle-order stars Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis. Even when Rahul stays till late and scores quicker in the middle overs to cover up some ground, as happened against the Rajasthan Royals, it doesn’t leave the finisher with enough deliveries to have an impact.

For Dhawan, the discourse is the opposite. He has gotten better with the bat since taking up the captaincy, despite being on the wrong side of the 30s and out of the national team’s plans.

However, he has faced criticism over his captaincy and strategies. There was some pressure on him in IPL 2023 but he looked much better against Delhi Capitals at home. However, once again, the placements of his deep fielders were questionable against RCB at the Chinnaswamy. His utilisation of a good bowling attack hasn’t sat well with many either.

A ground where leg-spinners have managed to find success over the years, he gave Rahul Chahar just one over despite PBKS being desperate for a wicket. Sam Curran, an excellent death-overs operator for grippy tracks — has just bowled four overs so far in two games.

By betting on Rahul and Dhawan’s batting returns, LSG and PBKS have lost good powerplay starts and tactical acumen respectively. Now, it’s on the two opening batters to find some form and repay the trust shown in them, or else the opportunity cost might just be too high for the franchises to let the status quo continue any longer.

Dhawan has been sidelined from the Indian set up for quite some time now but had a good run with Rohit at the top, adding 5,148 runs in 115 innings at an average of 45 from 2013-2022.

"My collaboration with Rohit & his support at the other end at the top of the order has been instrumental in providing strong starts to the team, setting the foundation for successful chases and big totals. I seriously give credit for a lot of my best performances to Rohit's support," Dhawan said as reported by the news outlet Times of India.

"Rohit on the other end gives that sense of comfort and assurance. I think our best innings was a 193-run opening stand against Australia in the fourth ODI at Mohali in 2019 & the second best will be against Pakistan in the 2018 Asia Cup in Dubai where we put together a 210-run stand for the first wicket," he further added.

Dhawan had last played an ODI for India in December 2022 against Bangladesh while his last T20I in the Indian jersey came in July 2021 against Sri Lanka.

Once a force to reckon with at the top in the world cricket, at least in ODIs, the left-hand batter has 6,793 runs to his name in 167 matches. He scored these runs at an average of 44 along with 17 hundreds and 39 fifties. In T20Is, Dhawan has 1,759 runs in 68 games at a strike rate of 126.

In Tests, Dhawan played for India in just 34 games, scoring 2,315 runs at an average of 40. He also has seven hundreds to his name in the five-day games with a highest score of 190.

Akshay Kumar on Shikhar Dhawan’s post for his son, 'Nothing is more painful..'

Veteran India batter Shikhar Dhawan posted an emotional note on his son Zoravar’s birthday on his Instagram handle, revealing he hasn’t seen him in a long time as he was blocked from contacting his son on every platform for over a year. Dhawan posted a screenshot of him video calling his son some time ago and wrote that he misses him and is proud of him.

Following an unsuccessful marriage, Dhawan separated from his now estranged wife, Aesha Mukherji, with the court granting them a divorce in October.

Although the grounds for the divorce were cited as ‘cruelty’ inflicted on Dhawan by Aesha, Judge Harish Kumar accepted Dhawan’s allegations of his wife’s attempts to keep their son away from him and pressurising him into financial decisions.

As per the court’s order, as a parent, Dhawan was granted mandatory visiting rights to meet his son in India and Australia, where he resides with Aesha. The court also ordered Aesha to facilitate bringing Zoravar to India for visiting purposes, especially during school holidays. During that visit, Zoravar would be spending time (overnight) with his father, Shikhar and his family.

However, despite these orders from the court, Shikhar Dhawan revealed he faced trouble maintaining contact with his son.

Here is what Dhawan wrote on his Instagram post – "It's been a year since I saw you in person, and now, for almost three months, I've been blocked from everywhere so Posting the same picture to wish you, my boy, a very Happy Birthday. Even if I can’t connect with you directly, I connect with you through Telepathy. I am so proud of you, and I know you’re doing great and growing up nicely," Dhawan wrote. "Papa always misses you and loves you. He's always positive, waiting with a smile for the time when we will meet again by the Grace of God. Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong. Despite not seeing you, I write you messages almost every day, asking about your well-being and daily life, sharing what I’m doing and what’s new in my life. Love you loads Zora,” he concluded.
In Dhawan's case, the Delhi court stated that his wife subjected him to mental agony by forcing him to live separately from his only son for several years. In the order, Judge Harish Kumar noted, "Even though the wife denied the allegation, submitting that she genuinely wanted to live in India with him, but could not due to her commitment towards her daughters from her previous marriage requiring her to stay in Australia, she could not come to live in India and that he was well aware of her commitment, yet she did not choose to contest the claim."

Indian laws on mental cruelty in marriage

The Hindu Marriage Act of 1955, which handles marriages between Hindus, and the Special Marriage Act of 1954, the law about marriages regardless of religion, contain a cruelty clause. Both acts consider cruelty in a marriage as a valid ground for divorce. However, they do not state what classifies as cruelty.

The courts in India define cruelty as "the total of reprehensible conduct or departure from normal standards of conjugal kindness that causes injury to health or an apprehension of it."

As per Indian law, there are two types of cruelty: physical and mental. While physical cruelty is definite and has no ambiguity, the courts in India have not been able to put down exactly what mental cruelty is. However, they have broadly based it on severe frustration, making it impossible for the spouse to continue matrimonial relationships.

Courts in India have made multiple judgments in divorce cases based on mental cruelty despite its uncertain definition. Refusing intercourse without sufficient reason for a long time, making false allegations about a woman's chastity, forcing the husband to separate from dependent parents, and not feeding the husband and children are a few examples of mental cruelty from past divorce cases in India.

Although the definition of mental cruelty is unclear, it certainly applies to both genders equally. Married couples can experience cruelty from either partner, causing the relationship to deteriorate.

Dhawan, regarded as a G.O.A..T of ODI cricket, lost his spot in the white-ball squads with the emergence of Shubman Gill. The left-hander has been India's Mr Dependable in 50-over ICC events, including the last two editions of the ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy in 2013 and 2017. Dhawan, a veteran of 167 ODIs, has amassed 6,793 runs at an average of 44.11 including 17 hundreds and 39 fifties.

On his official account on X, Dhawan wrote, "Chak De India! 🇮🇳 Let's paint the world blue, boys! All the best on your World Cup journey. Bring that trophy home! #TeamIndia #WorldCup2023." The left-hander has been India's Mr Dependable in 50-over ICC events, including the last two editions of the ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy in 2013 and 2017. Dhawan, a veteran of 167 ODIs, has amassed 6,793 runs at an average of 44.11 including 17 hundreds and 39 fifties. After Dhawan's ouster, India have rebuilt their top order convincingly with Gill being one of the most consistent performers in 2023, with five ODI tons. Thus, the 24-year-old right-hander will be desperate to fill in the big shoes of Dhawan and be among runs for India in the mega event. CWC '23: Shikhar Dhawan shares heartfelt post for Team India ahead of opener vs Australia

Notoriously infamous for having brainfade moments in the field, the Pakistan men's cricket team had another one during a warmup game, ahead of the start of the 50-over World Cup. Playing against Australia on Tuesday (October 3) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Pakistan's Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Mohammad Nawaz were involved in the gaffe that is now going viral on social media platforms.

Notably, during the 23rd over of Australia's innings, Marnus Labuschagne, standing on the backfoot, punched the ball towards the deep square leg region where both Wasim and Nawaz converged from opposite sides. However, instead of loudly calling and alerting the other fielder to step out of the way, both engaged in ball-watching.

Consequently, they both saw each other at the last moment and bailed out of picking the ball. The lapse in concentration was enough for the ball to roll over the boundary line, leaving bowler Haris Rauf angry while other players including Shaheen Afridi, looked in disbelief.

As soon as the video of the incident went viral, netizens had a field day trolling the Pakistan team. Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also lapped up the opportunity and had fun at the expense of the Pakistani cricketers.

Harbhajan Singh 'surprised' to see THIS 'pure match winner' snubbed from India's ODI World Cup squad

On Monday (August 21), India's 17-member squad for the Asia Cup was announced. While it saw the return of KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer, some big names were also missing, such as Yuzvendra Chahal, Umran Malik and Shikhar Dhawan. While not many would have considered Dhawan's name for the Asia Cup, with the left-hander not being in India's scheme of things since 2023, BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar opined on his future.

"Rohit is not a bad player, Shubman has had a phenomenal year. Ishan Kishan (is another one). Shikhar has been a terrific player for India. At the moment three guys are doing well and you can fit only 15. Unfortunately, someone has to fit. At the moment these are our preferred openers," Agarkar said while talking to the reporters after the Asia Cup squad announcement.

Shikhar Dhawan has been one of India's most prolific batters in the modern era. Dhawan formed a lethal opening pair with current captain Rohit over the years and remained India's consistent performer in ICC events (during the 2013 and 2017 Champions Trophy and 2015 ODI World Cup) but his stocks declined since 2021. And Shubman Gill's emergence, along with Ishan Kishan's attack-mode of play, led to his ouster in recent times. While he led India's second-stringed line-up in away tours (in New Zealand, Sri Lanka, etc.) and led in a few series at home as well, the 37-year-old has now fallen way behind in the pecking order.

BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar on Shikhar Dhawan's potential India comeback after Asia Cup snub

In PICS | From Suresh Raina to Virat Kohli – Players with most hundreds in Asia Cup history

Veteran India batter Shikhar Dhawan admits being shocked for missing out on Asian Games 2023 call-up. A prolific run-getter at the top of the order, Dhawan said he was hoping for a return to the side, but despite missing out, he is happy for Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was named captain for the tournament that starts on September 23.

Dhawan, who last played for India in December 2022, until this time, was the preferred stand-in captain every time first-team players got rested for any series. Having missed out on making the cut this time, Dhawan expressed his disappointment over the same but remains optimistic about an India call-up soon.

Speaking with PTI, Dhawan said he expected to get picked in the squad for the Asian Games. As he accepted the selectors' call to overlook him for reasons unknown to him and the fans, Dhawan admitted to being happy for Ruturaj Gaikwad and the young squad.

Veteran batter Shikhar Dhawan ‘shocked’ to miss out on Asian Games call-up, admits being happy for Ruturaj

Former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt thinks that Indians are not playing spinners well in the recent times and it needs to be addressed. The comments by Butt came on the back of India's recent loss in the second ODI during the three-match series against West Indies. While Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were rested for the match, none of the young players could perform up to the mark during the second ODI.

“In recent history, they haven't been playing spinners quite well. They're traditionally solid against spinners, but you don't see that control now. It needs to be addressed. Secondly, there are too many changes on every tour. It's about time, before the World Cup, that you know your 15, and every player knows his role. And the team plays like that,” Butt said on his official YouTube channel.

“If you want to give someone rest, and try different combinations, send an A team itself. Let all players rest. If your half of first XI players are there and half are not, you can't say that it's your main team. Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill.. no one is new. They have double centuries in ODIs, centuries in IPL,” he added.

Butt also said that India might need to recall veteran opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane as well. While Dhawan last played for India in ODIs in November last year, Rahane has been out of the set up for quite some time now. Butt thinks that India need experience in middle-order which Rahane can provide.

“The way Rahane played in IPL and the way he came back in Tests, he is a possible option. And they will need Shikhar Dhawan. I don't see any of the top-order batters, among right-handers, who can open as good as him. Either Shikhar and Shubman (Gill) can open and Rohit comes one down, or Rohit can open with Shikhar. They need experience in World Cup. They also need a guy in at no.5/6, either it's Rahul or Rahane. When there's pressure, the youngsters stutter. You need experience, the pressure gets to you,” said Butt.

Decoding PBKS' run in IPL 2023: Another season where inconsistency haunted Punjab Kings

IPL 2023: Finishers Rinku, Russell seal last-ball win for KKR as they beat Punjab Kings by 5 wickets

Match 27 of the IPL 2023 edition saw the three-time runners-up Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) beat hosts Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 24 runs at the IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali on Thursday (April 20). While the match went down to the wire, RCB dominated the majority of the proceedings to emerge on top. With this triumph, RCB now occupy the fifth spot in the points table.

Being asked to bat first, Virat Kohli-led RCB came out all guns blazing. Kohli was the stand-in skipper as Faf du Plessis, the regular captain, played as an Impact Player due to his hip injury. The pair stitched a 137-run opening stand with Kohli slamming a 47-ball 59 whereas Faf continued his rich form and returned with an impressive 54-ball 86.

RCB managed only 37 runs in the last four overs as Punjab bowlers staged a comeback, with Harpreet Brar taking two successive wickets. The visitors, however, ended with a competitive score of 174-4.

IPL 2023: All-round RCB beat PBKS by 24 runs to return to winning ways, move up in points table

Punjab Kings (PBKS) stand-in skipper Sam Curran has urged the younger generation to step up as his side faced a crunch tie against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday, April 20. Shikhar Dhawan, who is not part of the PBKS squad for the RCB clash was a big miss for the home side as they try to get their fourth win of the season. On the flip side, RCB too opted to make a captaincy change as Virat Kohli took the captain’s armband while Faf du Plessis was struggling with a rib issue.

“Shikhar is getting closer, but he'll miss out today. He's a quality player, but the younger lot will have to shape up, Liam Livingstone is back and we have Nathan Ellis back in place of Kagiso Rabada,” Curran added.

PBKS have so far endured a mixed start to the season as they continue to the IPL 2023 campaign and have lost two matches while winning three.

The 137-run opening stand between Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis powered Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to a decent score of 174/4 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium on Thursday.

Du Plessis unleashes with bat

RCB got off to a great start, racking up 137 runs without losing any wickets. However, after the 17th over, they lost two big wickets -- of Virat and the dasher Glenn Maxwell -- in quick succession. RCB lost momentum thereafter and weren't able to lift the scoring rate in the tail-end of their innings. For Punjab Kings, left-armer Harpreet Singh was the pick of the bowlers, snapping up two wickets for 31 runs while pacers Arshdeep Singh and Nathan Ellis took one apiece.

However, Sam Curran and Rahul Chahal brought Punjab back into the game, bowling tight lines and lengths and not giving easy runs to RCB.

Put into bat, RCB introduced their impact player at the start in the form of regular skipper Faf du Plessis, partnering stand-in skipper Kohli. Both batters gave a solid start to their team, putting together a 50-run partnership in 5.1 overs. Virat's 29 in 19 balls was studded with 4 fours and Faf's 27 runs off 17 comprised two fours and two hits over the fence. Their rollicking stand took RCB to 59/0 in the powerplay.

IPL 2023: Rohit Sharma becomes fourth player to complete 6000 runs; joins Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan

After a shocking loss at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), courtesy of Rinku Singh's unbelievable finish, defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) got back to winning ways as they beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six wickets in an intense run-chase of 154 at the IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali on Thursday evening (April 13). With this win, GT now have six points from four games and occupy the third spot in the points table.

Opting to bowl first, GT removed Yash Dayal from the playing XI -- who conceded 29 off the last over versus KKR -- as Mohit Sharma, India's 2015 ODI World Cup member, got the nod in the playing XI. Mohammed Shami struck early as he removed Prabhsimran Singh for duck (second on the trot). In-form skipper Shikhar Dhawan also departed for eight as PBKS was on the back foot in the powerplay overs.

While Bhanuka Rajapaksa (20 off 26) and Matthew Short (36 off 24) added runs for the side, the duo couldn't make the most of their starts as GT bowlers remained disciplined and didn't allow Punjab to dictate terms.

Jitesh Sharma, Sam Curran, and Shahrukh Khan (9-ball 22)'s contributions took Punjab to a moderate 153 for 8 as GT were excellent on the field and in their usage of the DRS. Mohit returned with 2 for 18 on debut for his new franchise whereas other bowlers chipped in with a wicket each.

In reply, GT started off with a bang courtesy of Wriddhiman Saha. He has been in attacking mode in the powerplays and played his part with a promising 19-ball 30 before Shubman Gill took the onus upon himself. Scoring his second fifty of the season, Gill held one end and kept the scoreboard moving without dropping much sweat.

Gill lost Sai Sudharshan and captain Hardik and eventually succumbed to pressure as the chase reached the final over. He was dismissed for 67 (49) but GT's trusted finishers Rahul Tewatia (5* off 2) and David Miller, unbeaten on 17 (18), negated Sam Curran's death-bowling threat to register a six-wicket win and a ball to spare.

IPL 2023: Gujarat Titans get back to winning ways, beat Punjab Kings by 6 wickets in tense chase

Virat Kohli has so far scored two fifties in three games for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2023. The three-time runners-up will rely on Kohli throughout the season as they look to end their IPL-trophy drought this time around in IPL 2023. In 2016 edition, the then RCB skipper Kohli was in sublime form as he ended with a whopping 973 runs in 16 games -- including four centuries - as he took his franchise to the final, where they lost to the eventual champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Kohli's 973 runs remains the most scored by a batter in any IPL season. Recently, former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri named India's young star Shubman Gill, who represents the one-time winners Gujarat Titans (GT), to break Kohli's massive IPL record.

Speaking during a Q/A session on Star Sports, Shastri said, "He has to be an opening batsman, because only then will he get many opportunities to score runs. I feel it is Shubman Gill because he is in good form and also because he plays at the top of the order. So he will get a good number of opportunities to score runs."

Shastri further opined, "The pitches are good, so if he can score 80-100 runs consecutively in two or three innings, then at that point only he will already have 300-400 runs.

"According to me, it is very difficult to break the record, because 900-plus runs is huge. But one thing is opening batsmen will get two extra matches and two extra innings, so they can only break this record if it is possible", he added.

Gill has so far scored 116 runs, including a fifty, at a strike rate of 145. Meanwhile, Gill-starrer GT have won twice and lost a game after three encounters as they occupy the fourth spot in the points table.

Will in-form Gill break Kohli's record in IPL 2023 or the upcoming seasons? Only time will tell...
