Does 'Deadpool 2' give tribute to Shah Rukh Khan in one of its scenes?

The two Khans along with the father of the bride danced the night away.

It was a night that tinsel town will remember for a long time. Shah Rukh and Salman Khan danced their heart out at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja's wedding reception on Tuesday night as nearly the entire film industry descended at Leela Hotel to celebrate the joyous occasion. Giving the two Khans company was the father of the bride, actor Anil Kapoor himself, who set the ball rolling with early performances with his nephew Arjun Kapoor. SRK and Salman came in late to the party but really got it started with their impromptu dance on stage. As the crowd cheered, SRK, Salman along with Anil Kapoor danced on numerous hit numbers including 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', 'One Two Ka Four', 'Koi Mil Gaya' and more. Anil Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh are dancing the night away... . . . . . #dnaafterhrs #bollywood #fashion #instafashion #celebfashion #Bollywoodstar #stylish #film #Instapic #instacool #instagood ##instashare #Beauty # #star #glam #Style #instashare #instaphoto #instadaily #sonamkapoor #sonamkapoorwedding #anandahuja #sonamkishaadi #anilkapoor #shahrukhkhan #ranveersingh @anilskapoor @iamsrk @ranveersingh A post shared by DNA After Hrs (@dnaafterhrs) on May 8, 2018 at 1:15pm PDT × Shah Rukh Khan and Anil Kapoor dance to Laila Main Laila crooned by Mika Singh at Sonam's reception . . . . . #dnaafterhrs #bollywood #fashion #instafashion #celebfashion #Bollywoodstar #stylish #film #Instapic #instacool #instagood ##instashare #Beauty # #star #glam #Style #instashare #instaphoto #instadaily #sonamkapoor #sonamkapoorwedding #anandahuja #sonamkishaadi #anilkapoor #shahrukhkhan @anilskapoor @iamsrk A post shared by DNA After Hrs (@dnaafterhrs) on May 8, 2018 at 1:22pm PDT × The trio danced to multiple hits that singer Mika belted out, one after the other. 'Koffee With Karan' Season 6: Not Virat-Anushka but Shah Rukh, Kajol and Rani to be the first guests

We all know how Hindi cinema and especially Shah Rukh Khan has set unexceptionally high standards of romance for most of us. The Baadshah of romance has had generations of women swooning over him, his films and the characters he has portrayed. But the set standards are too unrealistically high for anyone to fulfill in real life which is why we empathise with the recent post on popular Facebook page Humans Of Bombay.&nbsp

Titled 'Shah Rukh Khan ruined my life' it narrates the story of a young girl who grew up on a staple diet of SRK movies and how she always wanted her boyfriend to propose to her in a filmy manner. When she realised that no such marriage proposal was coming from her boyfriend, the girl decided to take things under her control and ask her boyfriend to marry her instead.&nbsp

“Shah Rukh Khan ruined my life! Since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of having the ‘perfect proposal’ from the perfect man. Violins would start playing in the background, he would walk up to me slowly, while the wind blew in my hair, fall to his knees and hand me the ring. But that never happened. In fact, we found ourselves in the middle of this mess where I was trying to convince my Bengali parents to let me marry a Punjabi Baniya! We’d been dating for 3 years, but the majority of that time was spent on bringing our families together. At one point in our relationship, we were sure that we were going to get married --so he never even tried to ‘surprise’ me with a proposal. Amidst all this drama of a big, fat Indian wedding, I realised-- I never had my filmy moment! So, on his birthday, I decided to take the matter into my own hands. I planned a surprise party at the restaurant where we had our first date, and as soon as he walked in-- I asked the DJ to play “Marry Me” by Bruno Mars and fell to my knees when he walked in. I said ‘Ashish Aggrawal-- I want to spend the rest of my life laughing, crying and fighting with you-- will you marry me?’ He looked at me, smirked, pulled me in for a hug and whispered - ‘let’s hope our kids aren’t as filmy!’And just like that, I created the moment I’d been waiting for..why do women have to wait for the guy to propose? It’s a new day, new age-- if you like him, then maybe you should put a ring on it!”

How Shah Rukh Khan ruined a young fans' life

Years back, Shah Rukh Khan made it a norm in every film of his to have his female-co-stars name featured before his in the opening sequence of the film. In Bollywood, the common parlance is to feature the male actor's name in the title sequence followed by the female protagonist's name. But things seem to be changing as Varun Dhawan, following the footsteps of SRK, had the names of his female co-stars appear before his name in the opening credit sequence of his latest film October.
His name not only takes the billing after Banita Sandhu but appears after Gitanjali Rao's name — the actress who plays Banita’s mother in the film.

The actor said that it just 'felt right'to do so. "It is just something I felt was right. Banita plays Shiuli, the character around whom the film revolves. And, Gitanjali as her mother deserves just as much prominence. They are the stars of the film. The other stars of October are screenwriter Juhi Chaturvedi and director Shoojit Sircar. If I had my way I’d have placed my name after theirs, too, in the credits. They’re the real stars of October," Varun was quoted as saying to a leading daily.

The actor though states this is not merely a token gesture. "I do respond to all that is happening in the country, especially atrocities against women and children, which are intolerable to me and should be for any conscientious Indian. I speak out about issues on Twitter. But, I don’t think that’s enough. I do other things to express my solidarity with the campaign to protect women and children. But, I don’t like to talk about these things.”

The actor, recently, along with a lot of other Bollywood stars, demanded strict punishment for the perpetrators behind the spine-chilling rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir.

Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is well known for his massive fan following globally but it looks like a star kid is the latest addition to this number. It is none other than Chunky Panday’s son Ahaan Panday who was recently spotted sharing a photo with poetry lines from Khan’s movie Veer Zaara. The youngster shared a handsome photo of himself with the message: “Dil Ki Vaadi Mein Chaahat Kaa Mausam Hai, Aur Yaadon Ki Daaliyon Par Anginat Beete Lamhon Ki Kaliyaan Mahakne Lagi Hain.” In the hit movie, these lines were recited by the veteran maker Yash Chopra, just before song ‘Ye Hawa’ starts to play. Dil Ki Vaadi Mein Chaahat Kaa Mausam Hai Aur Yaadon Ki Daaliyon Par Anginat Beete Lamhon Ki Kaliyaan Mahakne Lagi Hain. Katrina Kaif is reportedly playing an actress in Anand L Rai's film.

Ever since the first teaser of Anand L Rai's ambitious Zero came out, there has been a lot of curiosity about the film. Primarily because it has superstar Shah Rukh Khan playing a dwarf. The film has been also in the news for its leading ladies- both Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif are in top form. The trio has earlier delivered a hit together even- Jab Tak Hai Jaan and now audiences are expecting the three actors to weave the same magic on the big screen.
When the Padmaavat controversy broke out, social media was quick to pick sides. While most spoke out against Karni Sena and supported Bhansali's film, there was an eerie silence over the matter from some of the biggest names in Bollywood. Most people condemned Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir, Salman and Shah Rukh Khan for keeping mum about the matter, and for not making any public statement. Some even blamed them for being scared and hence choosing to keep mum.

SRK, though, expressed that the silence was maintained for a reason.

On Tuesday, addressing the Padmaavat controversy for the first time, Khan said celebrities are not scared of expressing their opinion, but if sometimes they choose to remain silent, it is for a valid reason.

Khan spoke during a panel discussion on "Media - Shaping the Future and Entertainment" at "Magnetic Maharashtra Convergence 2018" in Mumbai on Tuesday night.

Khan was asked if the government should take more step to protect the freedom of artistes` expression and whether celebrities should come up with their opinion fearlessly. But he stressed that actors are not afraid of speaking their mind.

When he was pointed out about how many stars chose to keep mum over the Padmaavat controversy, Khan said they simply "ignored such non-constitutional people for a greater reason".

"People said why are these big stars are not coming up with their opinion and hiding behind? Honestly, we don`t have to hide anywhere. The simple truth is, the more prominent actors talk about them, the more popularity they (Karni Sena) would gain. The ideal action is to ignore them, not to talk about them," the actor said.

Without mentioning the name of the film, SRK stated that he had also suggested Padmaavat team to not react as that would encourage the protestors more. "If more prominent actors, actresses and directors came and talked about this film—as a matter of fact, many times I suggested to their team, not to talk about this, just keep quiet because you are giving wind to fire. And suddenly these people are getting more recognised by the virtue of being on all the news channels. So don’t give them importance," the actor said.

He pointed out that people even said that big stars are busy making money. "But that`s not true. We love the society that we are living in and we are creating entertainment for our people. We might at times not voice our opinion, because as a 52-year-old father, I want all the children and family go and watch the film in theatres, safe and sound.

"I want kids to go back home safely after watching the film, even if they dislike my film. I am more concern about the security of my son and other kids... That is the responsibility of an entertainer."

However, SRK believes that creative people will always find a way to make their film and speak their mind.

"I can vouch for many filmmakers that nobody makes films to incite people, that is never the intention. Nobody wants to hurt any sentiment of any region, religion or others. No matter what, they will say what they have to say," he said.
