The study co-authored by researchers from the United States, China, Germany, Japan, South Korea and Japan is the first of its kind to gauge the impact of hotter nights and increased mortality risk. The frequency and mean intensity of hot nights would increase more than 30 per cent and 60 per cent by the 2100s, respectively, compared with less than 20 per cent increase for the daily mean temperature." a scientist at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, associated with the study remarked. Scientists are of the view that increased night temperatures or ambient heat may interrupt an individual's physiology of sleep. "Locally, heat during the night should be taken into account when designing the future heatwave warning system, especially for vulnerable populations and low-income communities who may not be able to afford the additional expense of air conditioning. Also, stronger mitigation strategies, including global collaborations, should be considered to reduce future impacts of warming." said another researcher. The claim found more footing as the narrow-band radio signals found by the radio telescope are not found from natural sources, but Werthimer said they were most probably artificial signals.

"The big problem, and the problem in this particular case, is that we're looking for signals from extraterrestrials, but what we find is a zillion signals from terrestrials," Werthimer told Live Science.

"They're very weak signals, but the cryogenic receivers on the telescopes are super sensitive and can pick up signals from cell phones, television, radar and satellites — and there are more and more satellites in the sky every day. If you're kind of new in the game, and you don't know all these different ways that interference can get into your data and corrupt it, it's pretty easy to get excited."

Despite the claims by the authorities, the team of scientists have remained quite cautious in their approach and have keep the possibility open of the signals not being from alien sources.

"These are several narrow-band electromagnetic signals different from the past, and the team is currently working on further investigation," Zhang Tongjie, head scientist at the China Extraterrestrial Civilization Research Group at Beijing Normal University, said in the report. "The possibility that the suspicious signal is some kind of radio interference is also very high, and it needs to be further confirmed and ruled out. This may be a long process."

On extracting the genetic material from the teeth of the skeletons, these experts found the DNA from Yersinia pestis in three people buried at the cemeteries. Yersinia pestis is the bacterium, which causes bubonic plague. The bacterium’s genome analysis revealed that it is an ancestor of the strain, which led to the Black Death in Europe some years later.

Krause said, “We have basically located the origin in time and space, which is really remarkable. We found not only the ancestor of the Black Death, but the ancestor of the majority of the plague strains that are circulating in the world today.”&nbsp;&nbsp;

As per the radiocarbon dating of her cemetery, the woman seems to have lived between 1880 BC and 1750 BC. The graveyard is located near Mikulovice village in Czech Republic. The area is known as Bohemia as it comprised a kingdom of the same name before World War I. &nbsp;&nbsp;

In a release, Dr Pankaj Kapahi, professor and nutrition expert, Buck Institute, said, “Staring at computer and phone screens, and being exposed to light pollution well into the night are conditions very disturbing for circadian clocks. It messes up protection for the eye and that could have consequences beyond just the vision, damaging the rest of the body and the brain."&nbsp;&nbsp;

Every cell in the body usually operates on a circadian clock in one way or the other. This clock operates on 24-hour cycles. Light exposure can disrupt it, said Dr Brian Hodge, another researcher at the institute. &nbsp;

In further research, it was also found that the flies, who were kept in the dark, lived longer lives than their peers. It showed that the impact on the circadian cycle can have negative results and decrease lifespan. &nbsp;

In the world of dinosaurs, there is a new entry in the form of a bulldog-faced creature. It used to roam in the Sahara Desert around 98 million years ago. This bizarre-looking dinosaur had tiny arms and was as big as a school bus. It has been found in Egypt, the scientists said. The meat-eating creature seems to have had two legs, small teeth and short arms, the researchers said. When it lived, it seemed to be around 20 feet (six metres) in length.&nbsp;This beast belongs to the lizard-like abelisaurid dinosaur family. It flourished during the Cretaceous period (145 to 66 million years ago). This was the final time period of the age of dinosaurs. They were mainly present in Patagonia and other areas of Gondwana. &nbsp;&nbsp;

Researchers in the Japanese capital Tokyo say that they have found an alternative to cement and that too a more environmentally friendly one.

This system is based on image data of patients' diseased hearts and their histories and the potential to change the clinical decision-making and improve the survival from unexpected and lethal cardiac arrhythmias, which is considered to be the deadliest and most confusing illness in medicine.

This study was published in the journal <a href="https://www.nature.com/articles/s44161-022-00041-9">‘Nature Cardiovascular Research.’</a>

According to a senior author, Ms Natalia Trayanova, the Murray B.Sachs, Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Medicine, arrhythmia-related sudden cardiac deaths worldwide&nbsp;accounts for up to 20 per cent death worldwide and people have little awareness about who’s at risk or what’s the prime reason for it to occur.

She said, "There are patients who may be at low risk of sudden cardiac death getting defibrillators that they might not need and then there are high-risk patients that aren't getting the treatment they need and could die in the prime of their life. What our algorithm can do is determine who is at risk for cardiac death and when it will occur, allowing doctors to decide exactly what needs to be done."&nbsp;

These algorithmic predictions rely on cardiac scarring induced by the heart disease which usually leads in deadly arrhythmia.&nbsp;

The deep learning technology is known as Survival Study of Cardiac Arrhythmias Risk (SSCAR) where they have trained the algorithm to identify the patterns and associations not evident to the human eye. For this they've&nbsp;used&nbsp;cardiac pictures that reveals about the scar distribution from hundreds of actual heart patients with scarring at the John Hopkins Hospital.

The algorithm can determine who is at risk of heart death and when it will happen, allowing doctors to decide exactly what should be done.

This team is the first one to give a personalised assessment to each heart patient and these factors have accurately predicted the chances of sudden cardiac arrest and even when it will occur in the next ten years. The current clinical image analysis only identifies&nbsp;basic features like volume and mass underutilizing what the new study shows is important information.

The research team has also trained a second neural network to learn from 10 years of clinical patients’ data inclusive of their personal details like their age, weight, race and the prescription drug use, and here the predictions were more&nbsp;accurate than the doctors were even validated properly suggesting that it can&nbsp;be adopted anywhere.

Dr Cary Woodruff, director, palaeontology, Great Plains Dinosaur Museum in Malta, Montana, noticed unusual broccoli-like growths in several neck bones of the dinosaur named Dolly. It happened when Woodruff was inspecting the remains of the dinosaur, which was unearthed over 30 years ago. &nbsp;&nbsp;

“I’ve looked at a lot of sauropod vertebrae and I’ve seen some weird things, but never anything like these structures,” Woodruff told the Guardian. &nbsp;&nbsp;

We’ve all had many of the same symptoms, and likely felt just as crummy as Dolly did. The WHO reported on Oct. 26 that COVID-19 cases and deaths are declining in nearly every region of the world since August.

A notable exception is Europe, where the Delta variant has caused havoc in countries like Russia and Romania with low vaccination rates as well as places that have liberalized mask requirements.&nbsp;

However, it appears that vaccines are keeping people from hospitalisation, even in countries like the UK where cases are on the rise following the lifting of pandemic restrictions.

As with other endemic diseases such as malaria, COVID-19 is expected to continue contributing to illness and death for many years to come.

Experts predict that the virus will eventually behave like measles, which still causes outbreaks in areas with low vaccination rates.

Some see COVID-19 as behaving more like a seasonal respiratory infection like influenza. Others believe it could become a less-lethal virus, affecting mostly children, but that could take decades.

Trevor Bedford, a computational virologist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center who has been tracking the evolution of SARS-CoV-2, sees a milder winter wave in the United States followed by a transition to&nbsp;endemic disease in 2022-2023. He is projecting 50,000 to 100,000 U.S.&nbsp;COVID-19&nbsp;deaths a year, on top of an estimated 30,000 annual deaths from flu.

The virus will likely continue to mutate, requiring annual booster shots tailored to the latest circulating variants, Bedford said.
