With dates worth over $360K&nbsp;sold per day during the month of Ramadan, the dealers are sure that this year the date business will break all the previous market records.

''Ramadan is a blessed month for us. Dates are very pious for us as our prophet used to have them. This month people buy a lot of dates. We all break our fast during the month of Ramadan with dates. We have sold so much in&nbsp;this Ramadan that our supplies are finished. We have a huge variety of dates in the market. Very nice season this Ramadan." said Irfan Ahmad, a dates dealer.

In the holy month, there are various foods whose sales go up drastically including dates. There are various types of dates which are sold here, imported from various countries for the Ramadan. The Ajwa, Mabroom, Kalmi, Sudayi, Sukhri, Amber and Merjol are the types that are sold in the market.

''In the month of Ramadan, we have brought multiple types of dates. The people buy dates in huge quantities during the month of Ramadan. Kalmi, Medjoul and Amber and Ajwa are available with us. We break our fast with dates. Around 90 per cent of people break the fast during the month of Ramadan with dates. We get a lot of customers from across the Valley and this year we have had a huge market,'' said Sajad Ahmad, a dates dealer.

Several other foods are also made specially for Iftar, a time to break the fast. Phirni, Halwa, fruits custard, and Sewaiyan are sold in every area of the valley. But dates still remain a must in every household.

The directive comes after a probe team of the Aircrafts Investigation Board concluded its investigation into an accident of a PIA Airbus flight which crashed in a crowded neighbourhood of a housing society near the Karachi Airport in May 2020.

The team attributed the mishap to human errors.

The board stated that the primary cause of the fatal incident, that claimed the lives of 101 people onboard the flight, was the lack of sound judgement by the two pilots during the landing.

Miraculously two of the passengers&nbsp;survived.

Fagge explained that the detainees were released after pledging to adhere to the fasting obligations and not intentionally miss any fasts in the future. "For some of them," Fagge stated, "we had to involve their relatives or guardians to ensure family oversight."

“The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance issues a number of instructions related to mosques during the blessed month of Ramadan 1445 AH," read the notice shared on&nbsp;social media platform X.

"Iftar should be under the imam’s and muezzin’s responsibility, with the obligation of the one who breaks the fast to clean the place immediately after finishing food," the order further added.

Cairo, Egypt In another sign of progress through regional cooperation, Egypt on Friday (Feb 23) announced a deal with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that would bring $35 billion of investments to the indebted country over the next two months. Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said that the development of the Ras El Hekma peninsula could eventually attract as much as $150 billion in investments. With the Holy month of Ramadan coming to an end, Kashmir Valley has witnessed the most peaceful Ramadan in the last three decades. Since the start of the insurgency in the Union territory, the incidents of violence in the Kashmir Valley have been lowest during this Ramadan.&nbsp;

Jammu and Kashmir Police say no major incident of violence or Law and Order has taken place across the Kashmir Valley in the last month.

''It was the most peaceful Ramadan this year. We saw no incidents of Violence in the Kashmir Valley during this holy month. Neither law and order nor any major encounter took place during this month, '' said Vijay Kumar, ADGP, Kashmir.&nbsp;

According to data provided by security forces, In 2022 around 19 terrorists were killed in multiple operations in the Kashmir Valley during the month of Ramadan. There was also a series of attacks on civilians which included members of the minority community, Kashmiri Pandits in the month of Ramdhan.&nbsp;

The Ramadan of 2021 was more brutal and violent, as the number of casualties were much higher. Over 20 terrorists were killed in the over a dozen anti-terror operations in the Valley.&nbsp;

With peace prevailing in the Valley, the locals of the Union territory are happy. The restrictions on the Major mosques, including the Jamia Masjid Srinagar, were lifted this Ramadan and people were able to offer Shab-e-Qadr prayers after a gap of three long years in the mosque.&nbsp;

''It's God's grace that no violence took place during the month of Ramadan, the real message of Islam is about peace, Islam is does not teach us any violence. The day we learn Islamic teachings properly and learn humanity. We are so grateful, Islam never preaches violence, and I am happy we had a peaceful Ramadan, '' said Bashir Ahmad, Local.&nbsp;

However, the Political parties in the Kashmir Valley are questioning normalcy. Political leaders are saying that if there is peace, then what is stopping the government from holding elections in the Valley. They say the government of India should take advantage of this peace and begin the democratic process. They believe that a popular government in Jammu and Kashmir can make things better.&nbsp;

''Ramzan Sharif is one where such things don't happen, people are busy in prayers and asking god to forgive for their sins. If the government of India says everything is alright here, why don't they hold elections? Why not? If it's peaceful, then let's hold an election. What are they waiting for?, '' said Farooq Abdullah, Former Chief Minister of JK and Member of Parliament.&nbsp;

In 2018, the popular government led by BJP and PDP ordered the suspension of anti-terror operations in Jammu and Kashmir during the month of Ramadan. However, the terror groups did not stop and continued their attacks. An army soldier was kidnapped and later killed on Eid.&nbsp;
