Tennis legend Vijay Amritraj, actors Mammootty and Satish Shah, cricketer Rohit Sharma, and playback singer Alka Yagnik were among the prominent personalities honoured with the Padma awards at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

President Droupadi Murmu presented the awards during the second civil investiture ceremony held in New Delhi, recognising contributions across fields including sports, cinema, music, literature, and public service.

The Padma awards remain one of India’s highest civilian honours, celebrating excellence and distinguished service in diverse domains.

On Tuesday (June 23), The Padma Awards 2026 are conferred by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. This was the second Civil Investiture Ceremony, which was held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On June 23, Mammootty has been honoured with Padma Bhushan at the Padma Awards 2026 investiture ceremony for his immense contribution to the Indian cinema. His son Dulquer Salmaan was present at the ceremony in Delhi.
