Had we taken the road, the organ could’ve been wasted due to heavy weekend traffic. The Metro gave us the fastest and safest option. We are deeply grateful to BMRCL and SOTTO Karnataka for their swift and wholehearted support,” said Dr Mahesh Gopasetty, HOD and Senior Consultant, Liver Transplant &amp; HPB Surgery, SPARSH RR Nagar.</p><p>The transplant surgery was eventless and the patient was stable in the ICU under close post-operative care.</p>

"Armita Garawand, a student in Tehran, died an hour ago after intensive medical treatment and 28 days of hospitalisation in intensive care," stated the Borna news agency, which has been affiliated with the country's youth ministry.</p>

<p>Weeks ago, the teenage girl had suffered injuries in a mysterious incident which took place inside the metro of Tehran while she was not wearing a head scarf.</p>

<h2><strong>Doctors claim a sudden drop in Geravand's blood pressure</strong></h2>

<p>For days, Geravand was hospitalised in Tehran and slipped into a state of coma. The 16-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in Tehran after she was found unconscious on the metro.<br />

On October 3, the Kurdish-focused rights group Hengaw was the first one to report her case, stating that she was critically injured during an incident which took place on the underground train network.<br />

However, the government authorities claimed that Geravand's blood pressure suddenly dropped and denied any "physical or verbal altercations" happened between her and other passengers.<br />
<br />
The rights groups, meanwhile, claimed that the teenage girl was critically wounded after members of Iran's morality police allegedly assaulted her.</p>

<p>But users increasingly complain that overcapacity and outdated infrastructure make commuting a daily trauma, also raising concerns over whether the system will be able to cope with the influx of visitors for the 2024 Paris Olympics.</p>

Its second phase, which spans 5.2 km from Goregaon East to Gundavali, will include four stations. The National Common Mobility Card (Mumbai 1) and the MUMBAI 1 Mobile App, both of which can be used to pay for tickets with UPI at Metro station entrance gates, was also launched by the PM.</p>

<h2><strong>Ticket prices for Mumbai Metro New Line&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The price of the two new lines' tickets would be between Rs&nbsp;10 and Rs&nbsp;50. The only element used to calculate ticket prices was the passenger's distance travelled. The fare for a trip of 0–3 kilometres will be Rs 10. The cost is Rs 20 for 3–12 km and Rs 30 for 12–18 km. Additionally, the ticket cost was Rs. 40 for 18 to 24 km and Rs. 50 for 24 to 30 km.</p>

<p>List of stations on Line 2A includes, Andheri (West), Pahadi Goregaon, Lower Malad, Malad (West), Eksar, Mandapeshwar, Kandarpada, Upper Dahisar and Dahisar (East), Lower Oshiwara, Oshiwara, Goregaon (West), Valnai, Dahanukarwadi, Kandivali (West), Pahadi Eksar, Borivali (West). <p>In the early hours of 10 Jan,&nbsp;A woman and her two-and-a-half-year-old son died, while her husband and daughter were critically injured after an under-construction <em>Namma</em> Metro pillar on the Outer Ring Road near Nagavara fell&nbsp;on their two-wheeler in Karnataka's Bengaluru.&nbsp;Bhimashankar Guled, DCP, East division, who spoke to <i>The Hindu </i>said, “Today morning around 10.45 a.m., Namma Metro pillar collapsed and hit a bike on which four persons were travelling. They are Lohith, his wife Tejaswini and their twins (a son and a daughter). Tejaswini and son Vihan were seriously injured and shifted to a private hospital. Unfortunately, Tejaswini and Vihan died.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) Managing Director Anjum Pervez announced compensation of ₹20 lakhs&nbsp;for the family of the deceased.&nbsp;“BMRCL will cover the entire cost of treatment of the injured persons. The construction work at the site will stop for 2 days. What has fallen down is a reinforcement structure, not a pillar. It was not a concrete structure. It has four ropes, and one of them seems to have broken. We’re asking the Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) to provide a report on this incident. We will also get our internal team to investigate the matter. This is the first time something of this magnitude has happened.”</p>
