<p>American actress-director Drew Barrymore, who made her acting debut in 'Altered States' in 1980, recently opened up about her struggles with alcohol addiction and how she embarked on her journey of sobriety after her divorce from art advisor Will Kopelman in 2016.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking to People, the actress revealed that her divorce was not followed by any "scandal" and "nothing went wrong" which made it harder and more confusing for her because she didn't have "the thing" to point fingers at.</p>

<p>She said, "We tried so hard to make it work. [A friend] said to me, 'Divorce is the death of a dream.' That's exactly what it feels like, something so final you can't get it back."</p>

<p>Since she didn't grow up with a family, she vowed her kids would. "I know what that feels like," she said. "If I haven't learned from that, then what was it all for?"</p>

<p>Laying the terms, she added, "This is a family, so nobody's going anywhere.&nbsp;I was determined to make it work because we all loved each other so much."</p>

<p>Calling the years following her divorce "cripplingly difficult", the actress said, "It just took me down. There are times when you can look at someone you think is a strong person and see them so broken and go, 'How the f--- did they get there?' And I was that person. I broke."</p>

<p>She shared, "After the life, I planned for my kids didn't work out — I almost think that was harder than the stuff [I went through] as a kid. It felt a lot more real because it wasn't just me. It was about these kids that I cared so much about. And then I probably cared so much that I was only giving to them and not taking care of myself. It was a messy, painful, excruciating walk through the fire and come back to life kind of trajectory."</p>

<p>After going to therapy and making positive lifestyle changes, she battled the addiction and got sober. Also, developing a show gave her "something to focus on" and pour herself into.</p>

<p>American singer-flutist Lizzo got extremely emotional upon receiving a special message from legendary flutist Sir James Galway. Sharing her reaction to the same, she posted a video on her Instagram stories on Sunday. She is seen trying to fight back tears in the now-viral clip and saying, "Is that f**king James? Is that f**king James Galway?"</p>

<p>In another post, she shared the video message she received from Galway. The clip showed Galway sitting in front of a Christmas tree and playing holiday music on his flute. He then wished Lizzo a happy holiday, saying that he was her "number one fan".</p>

<p>Reacting to Lizzo's clips, a fan wrote, "This is how we feel about you. Happy Holidays, Queen!!" Another tweeted, "Sister girl you deserve honor, love, and happiness. Never let the haters pull you down for you have to many who will lift you up for the Queen you are!"</p>

<p>Actor John Krasinski, who is best known for playing pivotal roles in 'The Office' and 'Jack Ryan', recently shared in an interview that he wishes to work in a&nbsp;Bollywood film. He also spoke about&nbsp;'RRR' and revealed that he has heard a lot about the film with many calling it an "unbelievable" movie.</p>

<p>In an interview with&nbsp;India Today, the actor&nbsp;said,&nbsp;"God, I would love to do a Bollywood film."&nbsp;However, the actor jokingly mentioned that he is not a great dancer.</p>

<p>"Oh, no dancing. I'd be horrible. I'd be in the scene, but I'd be the person that's not dancing."&nbsp;When told that in Bollywood, everyone has to dance, John replied, "That is true. <p>Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is all set to make his Telugu debut with one of the most-awaited movies of 2023, ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’, which stars megastar Pawan Kalyan and Nidhi Agerwal in pivotal roles.&nbsp;Helmed by visionary filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi and presented by AM Rathnam, the Pan-Indian film is expected to&nbsp;release in five languages, i.e.&nbsp;Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.</p>

<p>Making the announcement on Saturday,&nbsp;Krish Jagarlamudi shared a video that showed Boby making a&nbsp; grand entry at the sets of the film. According to reports, a massive ‘darbar’ set has been erected for the film's next schedule. Crucial scenes featuring Pawan Kalyan and Bobby Deol will be filmed on the set,&nbsp;intricately designed by Thota Tharani.</p>

<p>In the video, Bobby can be seen stepping out from a black Mercedes Benz. Dressed in&nbsp;a black vest and&nbsp;denim pants, the actor is seen greeting people while entering&nbsp;the building.</p>

<p>Sharing the video on Instagram, director Krish Jagarlamudi wrote, “Delighted and excited to welcome actor par excellence and big action stars of Indian Cinema Bobby Deol into our mighty Hari Hara Veera Mallu world. Embrace an exciting ride.”</p>

<p>Former Disney star Orlando Brown, who was arrested on Thursday in Ohio, has pleaded not guilty to misdemeanour assault charges stemming from an alleged altercation with his brother Matthew in Lima, Ohio.</p>

<p>According to Allen County Sheriff’s Office records, the 35-year-old rapper and actor was taken into custody on Thursday and held on a $25,000 bond. He was arraigned on Friday in Lima Municipal Court and charged with aggravated menacing.</p>

<p>As per a report by TMZ, a spokesperson for the Lima Police Department revealed that Brown's brother Matthew had accused him of acting "crazy" inside his house, accusing him of raping his wife and then coming at him with a broken knife blade and a hammer in a threatening manner.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Brown was never able to physically strike his brother with the weapons, and he eventually put them down.</p>

<p>Cops reached the spot as the&nbsp;fight was in progress. As they witnessed the verbal argument, they feared that it could turn violent so they arrested Brown and pressed charges against him.</p>

<p>It is, however, unclear&nbsp;who called 911.</p>

<p>Brown, who shot to fame with the Disney Channel series 'That's So Raven', has had numerous legal and&nbsp;personal troubles in the past. He previously faced charges of domestic battery, resisting arrest and drug possession.</p>

<p>He has been in and out of medical and rehabilitation facilities. In 2018, he reached out for help to Dr Phil McGraw, who invited&nbsp;him to his show and discussed his struggles.</p>

<p>Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's wife Gauri Khan, who is also a film producer and an interior designer, recently took to social media to give a glimpse of director-producer Karan Johar's Mumbai house, which she herself redesigned ahead of the holiday season. To give a glimpse of the interior, she shared a clip on her official Instagram handle, which viral in no time.</p>

<p>As the video starts, Karan says, "Welcome to my home Gauri, all because of you. Love it, love. Can't wait to move in."&nbsp;Then we see a few pictures of KJo and Gauri flaunting the stunning furniture.</p>

<p>In the video, you can see different styles of couches, centre tables and lamps. The house also has a wall with the word 'Johar' written on it. A narrow cabinet decorated with plants and lamps can&nbsp;also be seen in the video.&nbsp;</p>

Zachary Levi debunks ‘Shazam!’ recasting rumours, here’s what he revealed!

<p>A California prosecutor told jurors Wednesday that hip hop star Megan Thee Stallion would never have subjected herself to the torrent of public abuse she’s received if she wasn’t telling the truth about rapper Tory Lanez shooting her in the feet and wounding her in the summer of 2020.</p>

<p>Deputy District Attorney Alexander Bott said the jury should believe Megan’s anguish — evident in her testimony last week — and her courage in fighting through it. Jurors should also provide Megan with justice by convicting Lanez, he said, citing the scorn she received online and in parts of the hip-hop community.</p>

<p>“Why would she lie?” the Los Angeles County DA said. “She’s been subjected to a stream of hate. For what? For coming forward as a victim of domestic violence?”</p>

<p>In his own closing, Lanez’s defence attorney George Mgdesyan gave jurors what he called a perfectly good reason for Megan to lie: Being victimized by Lanez was a better public story than the embarrassing, potentially career-damaging truth that she was shot by her best friend — not Lanez —in a jealous dispute over him.</p>

<p>“Megan Pete is a liar. She lied about everything in this case from the beginning,” Mgdesyan said. “She lied under oath here.”</p>

<p>He said that Lanez actually struggled with Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris to stop her from shooting and that a pause heard on an audio recording amid the five shots fired on the night of July 12, 2020, was evidence of that.</p>

<p>“He was trying to protect her,” Mgdesyan said.</p>

<p>Mgdesyan mocked Megan’s experience in the years that followed. “It’s been so bad for her,” he said. “She’s won Grammys. She’s had number ones on the Billboard charts.</p>

<p>“You know who it’s been bad for? That man right there,” Mgdesyan said, pointing at Lanez. “He hasn’t been able to work. He’s had to go through this with his family for 2 1/2 years.”</p>

<p>The Canadian rapper Lanez, 30, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, has pleaded not guilty to discharging a firearm with gross negligence, assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The counts could lead to up to 22 years in prison and deportation.</p>

<p>Bott said Megan’s testimony was in itself sufficient to convict, but it’s supported by layers of other evidence, including the accounts of other eyewitnesses and apologies from Lanez.</p>

<p>Megan testified that she left a gathering at the Hollywood Hills home of Kylie Jenner in an SUV with Lanez, his bodyguard and Harris. Megan and Harris have since become estranged.</p>

<p>She said a dispute broke out that led to her insulting Lanez’s music, which made him especially angry. She testified that as she began walking away from the SUV, he fired at her feet and yelled, “dance, b----!”</p>

<p>Megan had to have surgery to remove bullet fragments.</p>

<p>When Harris took the stand, she said she didn’t remember seeing Lanez shooting the gun, and that she only assumed he did when she sent a text minutes later saying “Tory shot Megan” to a man who worked as security for Megan. She denied shooting the gun herself.</p>

<p>But prosecutors were then allowed to play an interview Harris did with them in September, in which she clearly identified Lanez as the shooter.</p>

<p>In an email to The Associated Press, Harris’ attorney, Daniel Nardoni would not comment on her role, saying he urged her to invoke her 5th Amendment rights on the stand, despite partial immunity provided by prosecutors.</p>

<p>Mgdesyan asked jurors to weigh the likelihood of violence stemming from insulting someone’s music or a dispute between two women over a man.</p>

<p>“What’s more likely to lead to a shooting?” he said.</p>

<p>He told jurors it was clear Megan was lying because she denied being in a dispute of any significance with Harris, despite a defence witness who saw the stopped SUV from his nearby balcony and said he saw the two women in the car violently fighting. The witness, Sean Kelly, also testified that he saw muzzle flashes come from a woman as the shots were fired.</p>

He said she invented the “dance, b----!” line, which no one else testified to hearing, to explain why she was looking over her shoulder to see he was doing the shooting.</p>

<p>The lawyer used the image to joke about his client’s size.</p>

<p>“He’s 5-foot-2, I don’t know if he can even get over a car to shoot!” Mgdesyan said, bringing a laugh from Lanez, who watched from the defence table in a blue suit and black turtleneck.</p>

<p>Mgdesyan told the judge earlier in the day that Lanez would not testify. The defence was set to finish its closings on Thursday, with the jury getting the case after the prosecution’s rebuttal.</p>

Justin Bieber set to crack $200 million deal to sell music rights: Report

<p>To react to Harvey Weinstein’s conviction of rape and sexual assault by an LA jury on Monday, several accusers, celebrities and activists came forward and shared social media posts on Tuesday and Wednesday. The trial went on for a month and the deliberations were held for about nine days. And, in the end, the 12-member jury found Weinstein guilty of three counts,&nbsp;forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and penetration by a foreign object, against Jane Doe 1.</p>

<p>However, the jury acquitted Weinstein of another sexual assault charge related to a different Jane Doe accuser as they couldn’t reach an agreement on three other counts.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This is Weinstein's second conviction since #MeToo movement spread like wildfire in the United States. He is already serving a 23-year prison sentence after being convicted of sex crimes by a New York City court in 2020.</p>

<p>Jennifer Siebel Newsom, who&nbsp;testified against Weinstein and disclosed that she was harassed by the producer,&nbsp;shared a statement on Twitter in response to the verdict. The tweet read, "Harvey Weinstein will never be able to rape another woman. He will spend the rest of his life behind bars where he belongs. Harvey Weinstein is a serial predator and what he did was rape."</p>

<p>"Throughout the trial, Weinstein’s lawyers used sexism, misogyny, and bullying tactics to intimate, demean and ridicule us survivors,"&nbsp;Jennifer added. "This trail was a stark reminder that we as a society have work to do. To all survivors out there — I see you, I hear you, and I stand with you."</p>

<p>Lauren O’Connor, who penned the leaked 2015 memo addressed to her colleagues that brought Weinstein’s toxic behaviour to light and eventually helped take him down, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter.</p>

<p>She said, “The women who came forward and took the stand are immeasurably brave, and while it is disappointing he was not convicted on all counts, I am grateful for the verdict — he cannot hurt people anymore.”</p>

<p>“But I think it is important to remember, the larger issues around understanding rape and consent are not solved because one bad man went to jail. There is still work to be done, and yesterday’s verdict demonstrates that,” Lauren added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Chiu further shared, “I see desperate failings in the legal system,” before adding, “I feel that it’s very personal. My reaction was almost a visceral anger at how much these women had been put through to take the stand. The fact that the legal system puts such a burden on the witness, challenges the survivor’s credibility. It is a horrifying and brutal process. What sort of signal does that give women of the #MeToo movement who are really struggling? A staggering percentage of rape victims know they’re not going to be believed.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other high-profile accusers, actresses and activists, including Mira Sorvino, Amber Tamblyn and the organization Women in Film, also shared reactions on social media. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Mira Sorvino, who claims she was harassed and blacklisted by Weinstein, tweeted, “Harvey Weinstein, rapist. Guilty. Again. I only regret that Jane Doe #2 &amp; Jennifer Siebel Newsom &amp; [Jane Doe] were denied justice.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>Actress Amber Tamblyn, who has been vocal throughout Weinstein’s trials, wrote, “Once in a while, a glimmer of justice reminds us why our bodies and stories still matter.”&nbsp;<br />

However, the jury acquitted Weinstein of another sexual assault charge related to a different Jane Doe accuser as they couldn’t reach an agreement on three other counts. This is Weinstein's second conviction since #MeToo movement spread like wildfire in the United States. He is already serving a 23-year prison sentence after being convicted of sex crimes by a New York City court in 2020. Jennifer Siebel Newsom, who testified against Weinstein and disclosed that she was harassed by the producer, shared a statement on Twitter in response to the verdict. The tweet read, "Harvey Weinstein will never be able to rape another woman. He will spend the rest of his life behind bars where he belongs. Harvey Weinstein is a serial predator and what he did was rape." "Throughout the trial, Weinstein’s lawyers used sexism, misogyny, and bullying tactics to intimate, demean and ridicule us survivors," Jennifer added. "This trail was a stark reminder that we as a society have work to do. To all survivors out there — I see you, I hear you, and I stand with you." Lauren O’Connor, who penned the leaked 2015 memo addressed to her colleagues that brought Weinstein’s toxic behaviour to light and eventually helped take him down, spoke to The Hollywood Reporter. She said, “The women who came forward and took the stand are immeasurably brave, and while it is disappointing he was not convicted on all counts, I am grateful for the verdict — he cannot hurt people anymore.” “But I think it is important to remember, the larger issues around understanding rape and consent are not solved because one bad man went to jail. <p>Elizabeth was among several other&nbsp;passengers who found themselves stranded at airports due to some technical error that triggered the mass flight delays in British Airways, across the United States and the Caribbean, on Monday.</p>

<p>The problem got resolved by Tuesday. And, after the resolution, the airline tweeted, "Our teams have now resolved a temporary issue that affected some of our long-haul flight planning systems overnight, which resulted in delays to our schedule."</p>

Demi Moore talks about entering her 'unhinged grandma era' as daughter Rumer announces pregnancy

<p>In October, we will get to witness the release of the 40th volume of one of the best-selling comic series, 'Asterix'. With an estimated first printing of around 8 million copies, the new volume of 'Asterix' will be penned by&nbsp;Fabcaro. He will succeed Jean-Yves Ferri as the author of the book while existing artist Didier Conrad will continue with the book.</p>

<p>He&nbsp;signed up for the gig about a year ago. He was&nbsp;approached by Albert René Editions to pitch for the series.&nbsp;The title of the book remains a secret, however, we do know that the comic will release on October 26, 2023.</p>

<p>'Asterix', which is about the&nbsp;defender of the last Gaulish village fighting the Roman empire, was conceptualised by&nbsp;René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo in 1959. The comic book series&nbsp;has sold hundreds of millions of copies worldwide.</p>

<p>After Toronto and Cannes Film Festivals, the Berlin International Film Festival has condemned the arrest of Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti and has expressed solidarity with the people of Iran "fighting for their rights" in the ongoing protests triggered by the tragic death of Mahsa Amini in custody.</p>

<p>The 38-year-old was taken into custody on Saturday "by order of the judicial authority" as she "did not provide documentation for some of her claims" about the ongoing protests.&nbsp;A week prior to her arrest, she had shared a post on Instagram expressing solidarity with Mohsen Shekari, the first man executed for crimes allegedly committed during the&nbsp;protests.</p>

<p>The actress, who is best known for her role in the Oscar-winning 2016 film 'The Salesman', was arrested by local authorities on charges of "spreading falsehoods" about the ongoing demonstrations in Iran.</p>

<p>On Monday evening, the Berlin International Film Festival shared a statement, which read,&nbsp;"This weekend, Iranian authorities have arrested Taraneh Alidoosti, one of the country's most famous actors and a guest of the festival several times, after she publicly showed solidarity with the recently executed protester Mohsen Shekari in an Instagram post. <p>Just a few weeks after Malaika Arora tricked her fans with her 'I&nbsp;said yes' Instagram post, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma has used similar marketing gimmicks to announce a new brand collaboration with a sportswear brand. And, it seems that netizens are not happy with it!</p>

<p>On Monday, Anushka&nbsp;had an angry reaction to Puma using her pictures without her prior permission. But, it turns out that it was nothing more than a planned marketing campaign, which ultimately lead to an announcement of her new brand collaboration.&nbsp;Her husband and cricketer Virat Kohli is already an ambassador for the sportswear brand</p>

<p>Yesterday, reposting Puma's post, Anushka wrote, "Hey, @pumaindia? I'm sure you know that you have to take permission before you can use my imagery for publicity since I'm not your ambassador. Please take it down! (angry face emojis)." Virat had liked the post that her wife Anushka slammed.</p>

<p>In response to Anushka's reaction, Puma posted a blurred picture of a contract offered to Anushka on their official handle and wrote,&nbsp;"Hey @anushkasharma, we should've reached out sooner! Should we take things to the next level, then? " Anushka then took to her Instagram stories to repost the same and wrote, "I'll sleep on it."</p>

The streaming platform announced the same on Tuesday via a social media post. Billed as a "local Prime Original spy series", the untitled project will be helmed by Raj &amp; DK, who previously collaborated with the streaming platform on the hit&nbsp;'The Family Man'&nbsp;series.</p>

<p>&nbsp;Written by Sita R. Menon along with Raj &amp; DK, the shoot of the&nbsp;spy series will begin in January 2023 and it&nbsp;will mark Dhawan’s OTT debut. More details about the cast and crew of the series are yet to be announced.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Richard Madden&nbsp;and Priyanka Chopra Jonas&nbsp;will be starring in the first-to-launch series within the 'Citadel' universe, which has been created by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO along with David Weil.&nbsp;The series will premiere in 2023. Other than Richard and Priyanka, the first-to-launch Citadel series will also star Stanley Tucci from 'The Hunger Games' saga.</p>

<p>Several other local-language 'Citadel' productions are also in the works, including an Italian Original series featuring Matilda De Angelis. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Before entering the actor's house,&nbsp;she allegedly checked whether&nbsp;other houses on the same road were unlocked. She was already wanted by law enforcement for a string of other burglaries&nbsp;and is said to have previously been arrested about 26 times.<br />

<p>To send holiday greetings from the sky, Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise shared a video on Twitter from the set of 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning' in South Africa and expressed his gratitude for his fans' support for his last film 'Top Gun: Maverick' After wishing everyone happy holidays, he jumped off the plane and showed off his skydiving skills.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Hey everyone," Cruise, who&nbsp;is well known for performing his own dramatic stunts, said in the video. "Here we are over stunning South Africa, where we're filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning parts one and two. And I didn't want the year to end without thanking you all for coming out to the theatres and thank you for supporting 'Top Gun: Maverick'."</p>

<p>'Dead Reckoning' director Christopher McQuarrie, who was also the screenwriter for 'Top Gun: Maverick'&nbsp;interrupted the actor and he playfully reminded him to keep his speech short. "Listen, we really gotta roll, we gotta get the shot," McQuarrie said.</p>

<p>"Where was I?" Cruise asked while free-falling. "Oh yeah. Thank you for supporting Top Gun: Maverick, and thank you for allowing us to entertain you. It truly is the honour of a lifetime."</p>
