With China’s growing belligerence, the border has become a battleground for testing wills and resilience. Analysts say China’s completely unfounded claims initially extended only to Tawang, a part of Arunachal Pradesh, where the sixth Dalai Lama was said to have been born. Since the 2000s, however, China has been claiming Arunachal Pradesh in its entirety. Pertinent to remember, that independent India has been exercising sovereignty over it. Arunachal Pradesh became a union territory in 1972 and a state in 1987. Arunachal Pradesh is also located at the confluence of the international borders of China, Myanmar and Bhutan, giving it strategic importance. This extension of territorial claims indicates a concerted strategy, consistent with China's stance on the East and South China Sea disputes.

<p><strong>What happened?</strong></p>

<p>Singh recalled that he went shopping on Sunday and then to a Punjabi restaurant for dinner. "The chicken curry that I ordered seemed to have a piece of meat that looked much lighter in colour. When I picked it out with a spoon, it turned out to be a small rat."</p>

The bank manager added that he started feeling sick right after he discovered a rat in the curry, which he had already consumed and consulted a doctor on the way home and took medicines as prescribed.&nbsp;</p>

Taking to Reddit, the man wrote that he quit his job at a decent company that offered him decent pay, but the 36 kilometres travel that would take him over one and a half hours irked him. His post has triggered a discussion on social media with some people applauding his decision and others labelling it a "Silly reason to quit your job."
