"Yes, the Indian team has told us about their issues with the food after practice. We are trying to figure it out and the issue will be sorted," an ICC source was quoted as saying by news agency&nbsp;PTI.

While the host cricket association is responsible for the fooding and lodging of the visiting team during a bilateral series, the ICC is in charge of the same during the World Cup. Earlier, a BCCI official had revealed the problem was that ICC should have provided hot Indian meals to the players instead of serving them cold sandwiches.

"It's not like any boycott. Some players did pick up fruits and falafel but everyone wanted to have lunch and hence they had food after going back to the hotel," a BCCI official told PTI on the conditions of anonymity.

Australia captain Aaron Finch has been reprimanded for an on-field audible obscenity incident&nbsp;which took place during the first of the three-match T20I series against England in Perth on Sunday (October 09). The Aussie skipper, who recently retired from ODIs, was found to have breached the Level 1 ICC Code of Conduct for resorting to inappropriate language during the England&nbsp;innings. As a result, he breached Article 2.3 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, relating&nbsp;to the "use of an audible obscenity during an International Match."

Thus, the Australian skipper admitted the offence and received an official reprimand and one demerit point was added to his disciplinary record. The use of saliva to shine the cricket ball has also been permanently banned. ICC banned the use of saliva for the first time in 2020 in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, however, the rule is now set to be implemented permanently. As per the new rules, the incoming&nbsp;batters will now have only two minutes to take charge at the crease after the dismissal of their teammate.

'Mankad' not unfair:&nbsp;Running out the non-striker for backing up too much will no more be considered unfair and referred to as 'Mankad'. The mode of dismissal has now been moved from the 'Unfair Play' section to the 'Run out' section. Running out a non-striker will now be considered a regular run-out.

Incoming batter ready to face the ball:&nbsp;The incoming batter will be allowed only two minutes to settle down and take the strike in both ODIs and Tests. The 90 seconds rule in T20Is will remain intact.

Five runs penalty on unfair fielding movement: Any attempt to distract the batter by the fielding side with an unfair or deliberate movement while the bowler is running in to bowl the delivery will result in a five-run penalty. The batting side will be awarded five runs and the delivery will be adjudged as a dead ball.

Penalty for slow over rate: In January this year, the ICC implemented a new in-match penalty for teams failing to complete their overs in the allotted time in T20Is. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja`s knee injury has disturbed the team combination and the Board of Control for Cricket in India big time and the BCCI is not happy about it.

Jadeja was having a solid Asia Cup 2022 till he got injured. In the first match against Pakistan, he played a match-winning knock of 35 and registered figures of 0/11 in two overs. In the next match against Hong Kong, he did not bat but took 1/15 with the ball and fielded really well.

The star all-rounder is having a good 2022 so far, both with bat and ball. In nine T20Is this year, Jadeja has scored 201 runs in eight innings at an average of 50.25. His best individual score is 46* this year in the format. Besides this, he has taken five wickets, with best figures of 1/15.

The International Cricket Council on Saturday confirmed Disney Star will be the home of all ICC cricket in India for the next four years having won the TV and digital rights to both men`s and women`s global events through to the end of 2027.

Disney Star won following a single-round sealed bid process which has yielded a significant uplift to the rights fee from the previous cycle continuing the impressive growth and reach of cricket.

The decision followed a robust tender, bidding and evaluation process, which started in June 2022. Disney Hotstar confirmed as the home for ICC cricket as the platform bags a long-term deal for media rights

The International Cricket Council on Wednesday released the Men`s Future Tours Programme (FTP) 2023-27, confirming the international calendar for all Full Members across all three formats of the game. In total, there will be 777 international matches - 173 Tests, 281 ODIs and 323 T20Is - in the 2023-2027 FTP cycle compared to the 694 in the current one.

India will be playing 27 ODI matches before the 2023 ODI World Cup in India. Meanwhile, Men in Blue will play 5 match Test series against England and Australia in the cycle. India will be playing 44 Tests, 63 ODI and 76 T20I from Aug 18, 2022, to February 2027.

England will play the most Tests in the cycle - 22. Australia will play 21 Tests in the period, while India will play 20. Australia, England and India all play five-match Test series as part of the third and fourth editions of the WTC, which also comprises 19 two-match series and five three-match series each in the two editions of the Championship that run from 2023-25 and 2025-27.

The FTP is the result of a collective effort of Members with ICC`s support and is designed to provide clarity around the calendar.

Each Member`s FTP is based on collective bilateral and mutual agreements and may vary in accordance with each Member`s overall cricketing and commercial programs. The 2023-27 FTP has over 770 matches. In addition to bilateral cricket, this four-year cycle will witness a single edition each of the Men`s Cricket World Cup and Champions Trophy, and two editions each of the Men`s T20 World Cups and WTC finals.

Test teams outside the WTC have also scheduled a substantial number of bilateral Test matches in an effort to boost playing opportunities in cricket`s traditional multi-day format. Former India captain Kapil Dev has urged the ICC to protect ODI and Test cricket amid the growing popularity of T20 cricket and the mushrooming of T20 leagues across the globe. Several top franchise leagues have mushroomed in major cricketing nations over the last few years as T20 cricket continues to gain major eyeballs.

The 1983 World Cup-winning captain believes cricket is going the football way in promoting franchise cricket over international cricket. The legendary all-rounder believes playing for the country should still be the priority for the players and the T20 leagues should not damage the reputation of traditional formats like Test and ODI.

The future of ODIs has become a topic of huge debate after England all-rounder Ben Stokes recently announced his retirement from the fifty-over format. Several former cricketers believe ODIs should either be scrapped or changes should be brought to revitalise the format.

Many also believe ICC should reduce the amount of bilateral cricket the teams are playing in order to ensure the payers can manage their workload in a better way. After Stokes, New Zealand pacer Trent Boult recently pulled out of the country's central contract to reduce the amount of international cricket he will be playing going forward.

Amid the rising popularity of franchise cricket, Kapil questioned if the players will only play the World Cup once every four years and then continue playing franchise cricket around the globe. The former India captain wants ICC to ensure the future of Tests and ODIs is safe.

"It's going the way as football in Europe. Is this what we're going to have, the World Cup and the rest of the time playing club (T20 franchise) cricket? In a similar way, will cricketers eventually be playing mainly the IPL or the Big Bash or something like that," Kapil told the Sydney Morning Herald.

"The ICC have to put more time into that to see how they can ensure the survival of one-day cricket, test match cricket, not only club cricket," Kapil added.
