The doctor who treated Pakistan's star Mohammad Rizwan, ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 semi-final clash against Australia, was astonished by the quick recovery of the player. Despite a hard-fought battle, the Babar Azam & Co. lost the crucial match by five wickets, but Rizwan has been earning praises for showing courage during the match. The 29-year-old Rizwan top-scored for his side despite spending two days in a hospital intensive care unit ahead of the Australia clash due to a chest infection.

The Indian doctor, who treated Rizwan revealed how serious the situation was, praising the wicket-keeper batter's perseverance and passion. Dr Saheer Sainalabdeen, who is a specialist pulmonologist at Medeor Hospital in Dubai, was quoted as saying by Khaleej Times, as he said, "Rizwan had a strong desire to play for his nation in the crucial knockout match. He was strong, determined, and confident. I am astonished at the pace he had recovered."

Although sex determination of an unborn baby is illegal in India, in countries where it is permissible, gender reveal parties are a common fixture. Various creative ways are adopted to indicate gender of the baby to the guests. The creativity may have gone a bit too far in a gender reveal party in Dubai. A real tiger was used to indicate gender of the child.

The couple in question has received a lot of flak for making use of the tiger.

In a video posted on Instagram, the tiger can be seen roaming on the beach next to the famed Burj al-Arab hotel in Dubai. Its curiosity is piqued by a few balloons floating just a few metres above ground. The tiger leaps in air, bursts a balloon that sends pink powder in air, an apparent indication that it's a girl.

Match 40 of the IPL 2021 edition will see Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) lock horns with a struggling and bottom-ranked Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai. So far, both sides have been rusty but the Orange Army's struggles have been more than any other team in the ongoing season.

Talking about the current standings of both sides, SRH find themselves languishing at the bottom with only a solitary win from 9 encounters. On the other hand, Samson & Co. remain inconsistent with a topsy-turvy ride even in the UAE leg. The one-time winners are at the sixth position, with 4 wins from equal number of matches. The Hyderabad franchise is coming to this game on the back of a 5-run loss to Punjab Kings (PBKS) in a low-scoring thriller whereas Samson-led Rajasthan were outplayed by Delhi Capitals (DC) in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Match prediction for RR vs SRH clash: Both sides are struggling and find themselves in the bottom-half of the points table.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will suspend travellers from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Namibia from entering the country on national and foreign flights, effective 23:59 pm on Monday, state news agency WAM reported on Saturday, citing a statement by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

The GCAA said the restrictions would also include transit passengers, with the exception of transit flights travelling to the UAE and bound for those countries.

Cargo flights between those countries and the UAE will continue, as usual, the statement added.

It said the restrictions were being introduced to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The GCAA added that exemptions to its decision include: UAE nationals, their first-degree relatives, diplomatic missions, official delegations, business jets - after getting prior approvals - and golden and silver residency permit holders, in addition to those, who work essential jobs.

Those, who are exempted, will still have to take a PCR test at the airport and enter a mandatory 10-day quarantine.

Separately, Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management said on Saturday it would allow travellers from South Africa, who have received two doses of a UAE-approved vaccine, to enter Dubai starting from June 23, WAM said.

Travellers from India, who have valid residence visas and have received two doses of a UAE-approved vaccine, will also be allowed in the emirate.

Meanwhile, travellers from Nigeria must only present a negative PCR test taken 48 hours prior to departure and will also undergo another PCR test on arrival in Dubai, WAM added.

Dubai's state airport operator is hoping for a "flood" of travellers as the coronavirus pandemic eases, targeting passenger traffic through Dubai International Airport to grow 8% to 28 million this year as demand rebuilds.

Terminal 1 is reopening this Thursday after a 15-month closure. Operations were consolidated through Terminals 2 and 3 last year as the pandemic took hold.

"People think it will trickle back. I don't believe that. I believe it will be an absolute flood of demand when people get the confidence to travel again," Dubai Airports Chief Executive Paul Griffiths told Reuters on Sunday.

The airport, one of the world's busiest, could see over 40 million passengers this year if it was "really, really lucky," Griffiths said, though it was likely to be somewhere between 24.7 million and 34.3 million.

"We're comfortable with that mid-range of about 28 (million)."

Terminal 1 has an annual passenger capacity of 18 million, while the entire airport can handle up to 100 million.

Griffiths estimated the terminal's reopening would result in 3,500 additional jobs at the airport, including those working in retail, hospitality, security and immigration.

By the autumn, 90% of the 260 destinations served from Dubai airport prior to the pandemic could be restored, Griffiths said, up from 63% today.
