<p>While Deepika chose a black saree with what looked like a modern take at the good-old blouse, she kept her makeup nude with skin-coloured lipstick, minimal bronzer and blush on her cheeks. Ranveer, on the other hand, appeared at the awards night in a bright pink and orange, flower-printed three-piece suit and similar hued shades.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The two struck a pose as they shared some images together, in addition to their individually-styled pics on Instagram.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Deepika also won the ‘Woman of the Year’ award.</p>

<p>Deepika Padukone will soon start work on her next film, ‘Chhapaak’ with director Meghna Gulzar. Making a glamorous appearance at an awards show yesterday, Deepika revealed a few details about her next project.</p>

<p>Speaking at the event, Deepika said, “I can't reveal much. I can just say that we have already started preparation. In fact we will start filming from next month."</p>

<p>Meanwhile, the filmmaker released a new photo from the film’s prep that has a yellow coloured dupatta semi-lying on the floor. It is shown as though it is burned from the centre.&nbsp;</p>

<p>We always knew that Meghna Gulzar’s film on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal will not be a glamorous film, considering the subject of the film. It only adds to this thought as the director has now confirmed that Deepika Padukone who is roped in to play the lead role will be seen in a disfigured avatar.</p>

<p>Titled ‘Chhapaak’ the film will show the life story of Laxmi who fought against all odds to make a name for herself even after she was attacked mercilessly with acid, throwing her life off balance.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At the Lit for Life 2019 event in Chennai, Meghna on the film said, &nbsp;“You won’t be seeing Deepika, you know. You will be seeing a disfigured Deepika. There is an uncanny similarity between the survivor and Deepika.”</p>

<p>Deepika had announced the name of the film in December on Instagram with a post that read “A story of trauma and triumph and the unquashable human spirit.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>Her wedding to actor Ranveer Singh created headlines and dominated social media for weeks. And now Deepika Padukone has opened up for the first time about her relationship with Ranveer, the qualities that she likes of his, and why she never wanted to be in a live-in relationship with him.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I think you just know when you want to spend the rest of your life with that one person and he's everything rolled into one man. He’s my best friend, playmate, companion and confidant. I can be silly in front of him, I can be stupid in front of him, I can be sick in front of him, I can be whatever I want to be," said Deepika to a&nbsp;magazine in her first interview post marriage.&nbsp;<br />

Ranveer earlier had said that six months into the relationship he knew Deepika was the one but the actress took her time to get convinced about the wedding.&nbsp;<br />

The actress who has been living alone since she was 18 years old, said that managing a house was not new but sharing that space with someone else was something she was looking forward to. "I’ve been running a home since I was 18, so I don’t think much is going to change in that sense. But of course, we’ll go through all the changes that happen when two people start living together.” Deepika though was clear that a live-in relationship was not an option for her, “I was clear right from the start that I didn’t want to have a live-in relationship to figure out if I wanted to marry someone or not. Now [I’m expecting] everything that comes with being a newly-wed: sharing space, you know, or the bills, whatever it takes for two people to live a life together.”</p>

<p>Calling her relationship liberal, Deepika said, "With Ranveer and me, our relationship rests on the fact that we’re extremely liberal with each other, extremely supportive of each other’s professional careers and know each other’s personal needs. I think when we started dating six years ago, professionally, we were both in very different places. My career took off slightly before his, but throughout our relationship, right from 2013 – even when I was shooting for [Goliyon Ki Rasleela] Ram-Leela and Chennai Express – nothing has changed.”<br />

"I think you just know when you want to spend the rest of your life with that one person and he's everything rolled into one man. He’s my best friend, playmate, companion and confidant. I can be silly in front of him, I can be stupid in front of him, I can be sick in front of him, I can be whatever I want to be," said Deepika to a magazine in her first interview post marriage. Ranveer earlier had said that six months into the relationship he knew Deepika was the one but the actress took her time to get convinced about the wedding. The actress who has been living alone since she was 18 years old, said that managing a house was not new but sharing that space with someone else was something she was looking forward to. "I’ve been running a home since I was 18, so I don’t think much is going to change in that sense. But of course, we’ll go through all the changes that happen when two people start living together.” Deepika though was clear that a live-in relationship was not an option for her, “I was clear right from the start that I didn’t want to have a live-in relationship to figure out if I wanted to marry someone or not.
