<p>The strange practice is a follow-up of a similar type of bizarre trend of university students using cardboard to make “pets” out of mango pits&nbsp;which started last year. As per the owners of this bizarre mango pit, such pets give them the same happiness as a dog or cat and provide them with therapeutic comfort.</p>

<p>Two such pets are being raised by a 19-year-old university student Liu, who is from the northern Chinese port city of Tianjin. Liu even maintains a “mango pit diary” of the pair on Xiaohongshu, which is a Chinese version of Instagram.</p>

<p>So far, Liu has shared 11 diary entries about Da Mao and Er Mao, or Hairy I and II, both of whom have been designated by her as female. She also documents the changes she notices in the texture of the hair of the mango pits and writes about how it changes from being dry and prickly to something which is “very comfortable to pat”. The diary also tracks how the mango seed changes colour from yellowish to white.</p>

<h2><strong>Right kind of mango makes ideal pit pet</strong></h2>

<p>Another mango pit raiser Xiaomeng, while speaking to Jiupai News, said that the owner needs to buy the right kind of mango to raise an ideal pit pet. It requires a lot of work to nurture the “pet” as the seed just not only requires to be washed and brushed&nbsp;but needs to be kept in the sun to prevent mould.</p>

<p>Xiaomeng has been using a hair dryer while brushing her mango pit so as to make it fluffy and Liu has been applying aloe vera gel to the seed. Liu has described her two “daughters” as “ideal pets” which are a “cheap substitute for hamsters”.</p>

Recently, the influencer had shared several videos of herself going through intensive training exercises and had stated that currently she weighed 156 kilogrammes and was aiming to lose 100 kilogrammes.<br />

In the videos shared by the young influencer on her account, she was seen running and weight-lifting. Her videos were heavily circulated on Chinese social media and had also featured in various state media outlets after her death late last month.<br />

China National Radio stated Cuihua, who was identified by her family name of Zhou, was going to several weight-loss camps in different cities so as to reach her goal and in two months, the girl had lost more than 27 kilogrammes, which led to her death.</p>

<p>The sprawling Shwe Kokko complex houses hotels and casinos targeting Chinese customers and is run by the Border Guard Force (BGF), a military-aligned ethnic militia.</p>

<p>A spokesman for the BGF could not be reached for comment by AFP.</p>

<p>Shwe Kokko's main backer is a Chinese national named She Zhijiang, according to a 2020 report by the United States Institute of Peace (USIP).</p>

<p>His Hong Kong-registered company Yatai has portrayed the $15 billion project as part of Beijing's "Belt and Road" infrastructure initiative, but the Chinese government has denied any link.</p>

<p>The project was characterised by land-grabbing and an influx of Chinese nationals fleeing a crackdown on organised crime in Cambodia, according to the USIP report. These groups later set up casinos and money-laundering institutions, it said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In August last year Thai authorities detained She for allegedly running an illegal online casino.</p>

<p>He had been on the run from Chinese authorities since 2012, according to Chinese media.</p>

<p>Myanmar's junta has not commented on the cutting of electricity to the town.</p>

<p>However, the restaurant owner sued her and demanded compensation of about 45,000 yuan (Rs 5.31 lakh) for the five instances in which she overindulged.</p>

<p>The balloon which was first hit by US in February is designated as "Killeen-23" in the leaked documents. It is unknown if the "Bulger-21" and "Accardo-21" balloons mentioned in the records were the same ones that sailed over the US carrier group or fell into the South China Sea.</p>

<p>Post citing, US officials said the balloon could produce enough power to run "any" surveillance system, including a radar that could see through clouds and thin material.&nbsp;Bulger-21 was equipped with cutting-edge surveillance technology and travelled the world from December 2021 to May 2022, according to officials.</p>

US intel leaks raise concerns over true capabilities of Chinese spy balloons

<p>A Chinese boy, who is just 11 years, cycled for almost 24 hours to reach his grandmother's home and complain to her about his mother with whom he fought. The news left social media users amused.</p>

<p>Finally, the boy got exhausted and was discovered alone in an expressway tunnel by passers-by, reported local media outlet Meilizhejiang.</p>

<p>The police officers who came to take the boy with them were surprised to know that he was cycling for more than 22 hours and had covered almost 130 kilometres after leaving his house in Hangzhou in Zhejiang province of eastern China.</p>

<p>The boy was cycling to reach his grandmother’s home which is located in Meijiang, a county in Zhejiang so that he could share his grievances after fighting with his mother.</p>

<p>While cycling, the boy navigated with the help of road signs and said that he took several wrong turns. Due to the wrong turns, it took him twice as long as it should have to reach the point he was found, however, he was only one hour away from his destination.</p>

<p>He said to the police that he continued cycling through the night while eating bread and drinking water simultaneously, which he had brought from home.</p>

<p>After the boy was taken back to the nearest police station, he was carried by the officers from the car into the police station, as he could not walk due to exhaustion.</p>

<p>Later in the evening, he was picked up by both the parent and grandmother of the boy. The boy's mother stated that he had threatened to go to his grandmother’s home but she assumed that it was “just a tantrum”.</p>

<p>In an interview from the firm's WeWork headquarters in Washington, he stated that he does not see Thursday's meeting as a last-ditch attempt to save TikTok's US operations, but rather as an opportunity to explain what the company is attempting to do and to gather feedback from Congress members, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.&nbsp;</p>
