On Friday, Tesla in its filing with NHTSA, said it saw the unlatching of a cabin door after there was impact on the non-struck side in between routine crash test earlier this month.</p>

<p>Tesla last week had recalled all 2.03 million of its vehicles which were on the roads of the United States. This was the largest action taken by the company in the country for fixing or replacing a defective product.<br />

<p>By the end of the year, the German high-performance automaker would have 10 dealer-investors in India, giving it a presence in all significant tier-one markets, the company said.</p>

She stated that search and rescue efforts are being conducted by the emergency responders in a few places.</p>

<p>NYSP public information officer Steven Nevel, while speaking to Newsweek in an email on Sunday, said that state police have been asking people to avoid the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland County because of heavy flooding.<br />

Hans van der Plujim from Classic Car Auctions in the Netherlands is auctioning around 240 classic vintage cars worth several hundred thousand euros each. The collection once belonged to Palmer Barnfind, a secretive collector who sold the automobiles due to his age and medical reasons. Despite being a keyless car, the thieves managed to pry it open&nbsp;using a metal hoop which detected and amplified the fob's signal. Notably, modern cars with keyless car systems require a fob for the car to sense and open, rather than a key to unlock it physically.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Baxter discovered the modus-operandi of the crime after going through her doorbell CCTV camera footage which showed a man closing in on her property.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"So you can see a gentleman approaching our side door and he holds up something, like a big cable loop - it looks like a kind of a broken hula hoop - to detect the keys and then amplify the radar of this keyless system to then make the car think the key is next to it and then unlock the car and start the engine," Baxter was quoted as saying by BBC.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I was up and down every few hours, as you are with a two-week-old, and I was actually awake when the car was taken," she added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Instead, a $300 million electric-powered arc furnace will be installed as part of the new project to melt down scrap steel. The national grid of New Zealand, which is predominantly run by wind, hydro, and geothermal energy, will supply that electricity using renewable energy.</p>

<p>As per the official website of the plant, it uses locally sourced iron sand to produce around 670,000 tonnes of steel a year. It is also New Zealand’s sole producer of flat-rolled steel products, which is a key product used in construction and agricultural industries.</p>

<h2><strong>Dwarfs anything done so far: New Zealand PM&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>New Zealand Prime Minister Chris Hipkins said the landmark project “dwarfs anything we have done to date”. “This size of this project demonstrates how serious the government is about reducing New Zealand’s emissions as fast as possible,” he said. “Alone, it will eliminate 1% of the country’s total annual emissions.”</p>

<p>At a time countries are vying to achieve their respective climate goals, this ambitious plan will reduce New Zealand’s emissions by 800,000 tonnes annually, the government said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This is equivalent to taking the entire automobile fleet of Christchurch, one of New Zealand’s largest cities, off the road.</p>

<p>“To understand the scale of this project, it reduces more emissions on its own than all the other 66 [government-funded emissions-reduction] projects we have approved to date,” Minister of Energy and Resources Megan Woods said.</p>

<p>Around 1.1 million electric cars that were either made by Tesla at its Shanghai factory or were imported between January 2019 and April 2023 in China will be now sent an over-the-air software fix so that the issue is rectified, according to the State Administration for Market Regulation's statement on Friday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>People driving Tesla's electric cars in China face the problem when they take their foot off the accelerator for slowing down the vehicle. When the issue occurs, what typically happens is that the additional power gets transferred to the battery of the car to charge it up. Because of this, the rate of deceleration remains somewhat uncertain, and increases the risk of collision, posing a threat to the driver's safety, said the Chinese regulator.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Because of the defect, there are chances that the driver may step on the accelerator pedal mistakenly, wrongly understanding that it's the brake.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Tesla representatives did not make any comment about the issue, according to news agencies that reported the matter.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Data shared by the China Automotive Technology and Research Center and Bloomberg Intelligence showed that around 1,129,055 cars have been sold by Tesla in China from 2014 through March.</p>

<p>Tesla will also need to send an electronic notification to the people driving the car if they depress the accelerator for a longer period, according to the notice issued on Friday. &nbsp;</p>

<p>The issue caused by weather may cause the rear trailing arm to detach. The recall covers CR-V vehicles from the model years 2007 through 2011, sold or registered in 22 US&nbsp;states and the District of Columbia, where road salt is commonly used.</p>

<p>In a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Honda indicated that, depending on the extent of any damage, it might offer to repurchase the recalled vehicles.</p>

<p>However, the company said that the recall repair is not yet ready.</p>
