And they have been given operating space in Canada because of the compulsions of Canadian politics."</p>

<p>While speaking on the India-Canada row in Washington, Jaishankar stated that the Indian diplomats do not feel safe going to the embassy because of the current situation prevailing in the country.</p>

<p>A new scientific analysis published Tuesday (August 22) said that man-made climate change is the reason behind 2023's severe and months-long "fire weather" conditions that led to Canada's record-breaking blazes.</p>

<p>A report titled - "Climate change more than doubled the likelihood of extreme fire weather conditions in Eastern Canada" - published by the World Weather Attribution group found that over the year, fire-prone conditions were 50 per cent more intense as a result of global warming.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The study mentioned that Canada has experienced its warmest May-June period since 1940, beating the previous record set in 1998 by a huge margin (0.8°C) and at the national scale, relative humidity was also very low.&nbsp;</p>

<p>First author Clair Barnes, who is an environmental statistician at Imperial College London, told the news agency AFP,&nbsp;"As we continue to warm the planet, these kinds of events are going to get more frequent and they're going to get more intense."&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Wildfires in Canada</strong>&nbsp;</h2>

<p>In Canada, at least four people have reportedly died and around 200,000 people have been evacuated. But as the situation is normalising, some evacuees have returned home amid a gruelling fight against wildfires.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, the impact of the wildfires appears&nbsp;to be long-lasting as the smoke from the burning forests has led to dangerous air pollution spreading across much of Canada and the United States to the south.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The air quality has been impacted in Canada, and in the neighbouring United States with Air Quality Index (AQI) values frequently exceeding safe levels in the midwest and northeast USA.&nbsp;</p>

There are posters put up about people. So tell me, do you consider this normal?... If this had happened to any other country, how would they react to it?... Let's not normalize what is happening in Canada," he said.</p>

<h2><strong>Raised Nijjar's murder with New Delhi: Blinken</strong></h2>

<p>Jaishankar's press conference comes hours after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said he raised the murder of Hardeep Singh Nijjar with the Indian foreign minister in a meeting on Thursday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"We're very concerned about the allegations that have been raised by Canada, by Prime Minister (Justin) Trudeau. We have been in close contact with Canada about that, and at the same time, we have engaged with the Indian government and urge them to work with Canada on an investigation. And I had the opportunity to do so again in my meeting yesterday with Foreign Minister (Subrahmanyam) Jaishankar," Blinken said in a press conference.</p>

<p>"Those responsible need to be held accountable and we hope that our friends in both Canada and India will work together to resolve this matter,” he added.</p>

<p>Earlier, neither Blinken nor the US State Department made any mention of raising the murder of Nijjar during Thursday's meeting with Jaishankar.</p>

<p>Amid the ongoing bitterness between India and Canada over claims made by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, hackers calling themselves the Indian Cyber Force have claimed to have targeted&nbsp;the Canadian Armed Forces' official website.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The group, which does not have any formal links to New Delhi, claimed on messaging app Telegram that it had taken down the&nbsp;www.forces.ca website. One of the messages shared showed a screenshot of an error page with the message "#f*** Canada".&nbsp;</p>

<p>The cyberattack, according to experts, is believed to be a&nbsp;“distributed denial of service” (DDoS) assault aimed at sending a message to the Canadian government.&nbsp;</p>

<p>DDoS attacks are typically short-lived, lasting hours or days at most.</p>

<p>Most hacking groups, masquerading as internet activists, use&nbsp;DDoS attacks as a method to draw attention to themselves rather than a serious effort to cause damage.</p>

<p>Legault’s office said in a statement that it is aware of the situation and that all threats against elected officials are unacceptable and should be denounced.</p>

After Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau put out what he called 'credible allegations' OF the Indian government being involved in the killing of Khalistani terrorists in Canada, India has lashed out. There's been a strong crackdown on Khalistani terrorists operating against India from overseas - from confiscation of their properties to withdrawal of the OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) cards. India's neighbours have come out in India's support, even terming Canada a safe haven for terror.
