According to the report, 5 (45%) out of 11 MPs from Andhra Pradesh, 3 (43%) out of 7 MPs from Telangana, 3 (16%) out of 19 MPs from Maharashtra, 1 (33%) out of 3 MPs from Delhi, 2 (29%) out of 7 MPs from Punjab, 1 (20%) out of 5 MPs from Haryana and 2 (18%) out of 11 MPs from Madhya Pradesh have declared assets worth more than ₹100 crore.</p>

<p>The total assets of seven Members of Parliament (MPs) analysed from Telangana is ₹5,596 crore, that of 11 MPs from Andhra Pradesh is ₹3,823 crore, and 30 MPs analysed from Uttar Pradesh have total assets worth ₹1,941 crore.</p>

<p>Out of the 225 Rajya Sabha sitting MPs analysed, 75 (33%) have declared criminal cases against themselves.</p>

<p>Also about 41 (18%) Rajya Sabha sitting MPs have declared serious criminal cases and two members have declared cases related to murder (IPC section 302).</p>

<p>Out of 4 MPs, one Rajya Sabha sitting MP — Congress' K.C. Venugopal — from Rajasthan has declared case related to rape (IPC section 376).</p>

<p>The involvement of Ginni Thomas in United States politics has attracted more scrutiny after reports suggested that she was involved in the efforts made by Donald Trump to illegally overturn the 2020 presidential election's results.</p>

<p>In 1991, Justice Thomas was nominated for the court after he went through a confirmation process in which he faced an accusation of sexual harassment made by a former aide.</p>

<p>Last year, he joined the majority of judges who gave the historic ruling and overturned the national right to abortion. He also claimed that a conservative-dominated court must examine its rulings on same-sex marriage and contraception.</p>

<p>After a New York billionaire's fireworks display&nbsp;on New Year's eve started a blaze, residents of New Zealand are demanding a ban on their use.</p>

<p>The display near Queenstown in Central Otago caused multiple grass fires at the property of Tony Malkin, the chief executive of the entity that owns the Empire State Building. Firefighters were called ten minutes into the new year to extinguish the fire caused by the private fireworks, BBC reported.</p>

<p>The fire that came very close to one of the two dwellings on the Malkin estate, known as Redemption Song, was doused in the morning.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The display got a go-ahead even after the locals raised concerns about the animals and started the petition to prevent the display.</p>

<p>To avoid the inconvenience, Quinn left the area for sometime on New Year's Eve along with his family.&nbsp;“It basically upset the entire neighbourhood. Everyone within the area had to make plans. People changed their holiday plans. And you’ve got all the FENZ [Fire Emergency New Zealand] people who are inconvenienced. They’ve all got families," Quinn added.</p>

<p>Another neighbour Lisa Tennekon​ told Stuff news outlet that an apology from Malkin would be “fantastic.”</p>

<p>Malkin has yet to apologize or comment on the issue. His family didn't comment as well but Malkin's spokesperson said they were “deeply grateful for the expert work” of FENZ and the police.</p>

<p>Queenstown residents have a working group in place and plan to urge their local MP for a ban on all fireworks that are not professionally organised.</p>

<p>Fordstam is the entity through which Abramovich owns Chelsea and through which he has loaned the club £1.5 billion.</p>

<p>In his statement on Wednesday, the Russian said: "The sale of the Club will not be fast-tracked but will follow due process. I will not be asking for any loans to be repaid".</p>

<p>But the sale may not be a straightforward matter says Rob Wilson, football finance expert at Sheffield Hallam University.</p>

<p>"The write off, or not, of the £1.5bn in loans to Abramovich is the biggest point of contention. Will that really be written off? Converted to equity or bought as part of the acquisition. All questions that need to be answered," he said.</p>

<p>There has been increasing interest in the Premier League from American investors with both Manchester United and Liverpool owned by U.S backers but one U.S based soccer investment source said simply "It depends on the price".</p>

<p>On Wednesday, Swiss business tycoon Hansjoerg Wyss said he was one of three people who had been approached by Abramovich to buy the club.</p>

<p>"Abramovich is currently trying to sell all his villas in England. He also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly now. I, along with three other people, received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich," Wyss told Swiss newspaper Blick.</p>

<p>"If I buy Chelsea, it will be with a consortium of six or seven investors," he said.</p>

<p>Reports have suggested that American Todd Boehly, co-owner of the LA Dodgers baseball team, could be part of such a consortium.</p>

<p>Boehly, is founder and CEO of Eldridge Industries and was reported to have made an attempt to buy Chelsea in 2019.</p>

<p>Eldridge did not immediately respond to a request for comment.</p>
