Before leaving for Israel on Sunday, Prince Pahlavi&nbsp;tweeted that he wanted&nbsp;“to deliver a message of friendship from the Iranian people…and pay respects to the victims of the Holocaust on Yom HaShoah.”

Although there have been no reports regarding what was discussed during the brief meeting between Netanyahu and Pahlavi, a picture of the two showed them engaged in conversation, as reported by the Iran International.&nbsp;

The visit occurs at a time when Israeli officials and media analysts have expressed increasing concern over Iran's stepped-up efforts to create unrest in and around Israel.

Speaking on Sunday at a memorial service, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned, “Iran is waging a multi-front war of attrition against the State of Israel,” adding that it was “continuing its attempts to establish itself on the northern front and at the same time sending its proxies to Judea, Samaria and Gaza.”

However, Gallant said that Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have “acted and will continue to act in all arenas, in overt and covert operations along the border, across the border, and even far from the border.”

On Sunday, the Jerusalem Institute for Strategic Studies published a statement, warning of the prospect of a war with Iran, and urging Netanyahu to suspend his judicial overhaul plan considering the intensified threats by Tehran.

“Israel is seen from the outside as a torn society, gradually losing its ability to function,” the think tank said, echoing last week’s remarks by former National Security Advisor and former Maj.-Gen. Yaakov Amidror.

A day after the Israeli police stormed the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, over 30 rockets were fired from Lebanon into Israel, an attack which the Israeli army said was most likely carried out by Hamas. Israel then responded by striking the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon, targeting terror infrastructures that it said belonged to Hamas.

And last Friday, an Italian tourist was killed and seven others injured in a car-ramming attack in Tel Aviv.&nbsp;

As the country continues to flare up over the government's controversial plan to tighten control over the Supreme Court which has been paused amid the escalating tension with the Palestinians, the poll carried out by Channel 13 News showed that more than two-thirds of the country's voters were unhappy with Netanyahu’s performance in office.

The poll indicated that Netanyahu’s Likud party would be able to clinch victory over 20 seats in the 120-member parliament of the country, which is a fall from the 32 seats he won last November.

The poll also stated that his religious-nationalist coalition would not be able to get a majority with 46 seats, which is a fall from 64.

If the elections are held in the current scenario, Benny Gantz's Blue and White party would emerge victorious with 29 seats, followed by Yair Lapid’s centrist party which would clinch victory over 21 seats, as per the survey conducted by Camil Fuchs.

When the people were asked about the performance of Netanyahu as prime minister, 71 per cent of the 699 respondents called it “not good” and 20 per cent agreed that it was “good”, reported Channel 13 News.

The survey was dismissed by the Likud party’s Boaz Bismuth.

“There was an amazing and very, very reliable poll on November 1, I still rely on it,” he said while speaking to Army Radio on Monday, as he referred to the last national election held which ended the political deadlock which was seen five elections in less than four years.

The government led by Netanyahu had pledged to overhaul the judicial system, however, the legislation was paused to allow for compromise discussions with the opposition political parties after weeks of nationwide protests.

The text of the resolution states that national guard will be tasked with tackling terrorism, 'nationalist crime' and 'restoring governance where needed'. “The Israel National Guard will be used as a special force to deal with different emergency situations, nationalist crimes, the fight against terrorism and strengthening governance in regions where it is required,” reads the proposed legislation. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has hit back at US President Joe Biden after the latter advised him to abandon his highly-controversial judicial overhaul proposal. The Democrat leader, speaking to reporters said he was 'very concerned' about the health of Israeli democracy, issuing a warning that the country cannot continue down this road for long. “Like many strong supporters of Israel, I’m very concerned. And I’m concerned that they get this straight. Hopefully, the prime minister will act in a way that he can try to work out some genuine compromise, but that remains to be seen," said Biden. "I hope he walks away from it." When quizzed if America was looking to interfere in the domestic politics of Israel, Biden added, “We don’t want to interfere...Anyway, we’re not interfering. They know my position. They know America’s position. They know the American Jewish position.” No sooner did Biden have his say, Netanyahu released a response saying Israel would not make decisions based on overseas pressure. "Israel is a sovereign country which makes its decisions by the will of its people and not based on pressures from abroad, including from the best of friends," said Netanyahu. By Monday, Netanyahu and his government were forced to press pause on the decision until the next session of the Knesset, the Israeli parliament. "Out of a sense of national responsibility, out of a will to prevent a rupture among our people, I have decided to pause the second and third readings of the bill," said Netanyahu in a televised broadcast.
