<p>After the Delhi Police searched chief minister Arvind Kejriwal&#39;s residence, a leader of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused it of acting like a bully at the behest of the Centre and said the action was aimed at &quot;insulting and humiliating&quot; Arvind Kejriwal.</p>

<p>The Delhi Police had conducted a search at the Delhi chief minister&#39;s residence saying its demand for the CCTV footage of the alleged incident of assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by AAP MLAs had not been met.</p>

<p>AAP leader Ashutosh claimed the police had initially requested the video from the PWD department but did not take it.</p>

<p>In a veiled reference to the BJP, AAP MP (Member of Parliament) Sanjay Singh said it was &quot;unfortunate&quot; that some &quot;dictators&quot; and people with a mentality of &quot;hooligans&quot; had captured power, be it Gujarat, Haryana, Maharashtra,<br />
Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh.</p>

<p>&quot;The dadagiri (bullying) by the Delhi Police at Arvind Kejriwal&#39;s residence is being done at the behest of the BJP. The Delhi Police is a mere puppet but the Centre is resorting to such dadagiri to dismiss the Delhi government,&quot; Sanjay Singh said.</p>

<p>The AAP MP equated the Delhi Police with &quot;Dhristashtra&quot;, the blind king in epic Mahabharat who turned a blind eye to his sons&#39; vices, stating that the law and order enforcement agency had not even bothered to take action in cases involving assault on Delhi minister Imran Hussain and Delhi Dialogue Commission vice-chairman Ashish Khetan.</p>

<p>Sanjay Singh also posted pictures of injured AAP workers who were allegedly beaten up by&nbsp;police in Lucknow for protesting the dictatorial action led by the Narendra Modi-led BJP government against Arvind Kejriwal.<br />

Delhi Chief Secretary assault case : AAP MLAs sent to judicial custody for 14 days

<p>In the last 24 hours, things have dramatically changed in Delhi. Delhi&#39;s Chief Secretary alleged that he was beaten by Aam Aadmi Party MLA&#39;s, assaulting him in front of the Chief Minister. After this incident, it has turned into a battle between&nbsp;bureaucracy and Kejriwal government. On Tuesday, Delhi police filed an FIR after getting a written complaint from Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Within few hours, the Delhi police arrested AAP&#39;s Deoli MLA Prakash Jarwal. Police had also been&nbsp;looking for another MLA named &nbsp;Amanthullah Khan, from Okhla, but failed to get him. But by the afternoon,Amanthullah&nbsp; Khan surrendered in Jamia Nagar police station.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After taking both the MLA&#39;s into custody, the police produced them in the court. Delhi Police wanted two days custody for both of them but the court dismissed the police&#39;s plea for custodial interrogation of AAP MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal. Delhi court rejected the plea for police custody, saying the two legislators were ready to cooperate and join the investigation.</p>

<p>While all these things were happening, Delhi IAS, DANICs and DASS association sought time from President Ramnath Singh. The Association wanted to brief him about the incident and wanted him to look into this matter. But they couldn&#39;t get time from President yesterday. But association hopes to get time on Thursday. Apart from this, the association also held a meeting with all his stakeholders in Chanakyapuri.</p>

<p>In this meeting, many retired and serving Delhi Government IAS and DANICS officers took part. At the meeting, all the stakeholders decided not to attend any meeting called by the Delhi government till Arvind Kejriwal apologises for the incident and action is taken against the MLAs involved. Same was decided at past meetings too. Meanwhile, Delhi IAS Association is getting support from many state IAS Associations that include Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka etc.</p>

<p>Tuesday, after this alleged attack on Chief Secretary, a meeting was called in Delhi Secretariat. In this meeting, the chief secretary and all the other officers decided to report this matter. The IAS officers association also met Home Minister Rajnath Singh and LG Anil Baijal to lodge a protest over the alleged assault. A delegation of IAS, DANICS and subordinate services of Delhi government called on Home Minister Rajnath Singh and termed the alleged manhandling of Prakash a &quot;pre-planned and pre-meditated&quot; attack.</p>

<p>On Wednesday, the IAS association took out a candlelight march at Rajghat to protest the incident in which not only serving IAS, DANICs, and DASS cadre employees participated but many retired officers took part as well.</p>

Opinion: How it is turning out to be a bureaucracy vs. Kejriwal fight in Delhi

<p>Delhi government bureaucrats on Wednesday reiterated that they would continue to boycott meetings called by Arvind Kejriwal and his cabinet colleagues till the chief minister apologises for the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.</p>

<p>The boycott by the bureaucrats was announced Tuesday after Prakash was <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/breakdown-of-governance-say-ias-officers-after-delhi-chief-secretary-alleges-assault-by-aap-mlas-33465" target="_blank">allegedly assaulted</a> on Monday night by some AAP MLAs at the chief minister&#39;s residence.</p>

<p>In a meeting today, around 200 officers resolved that no official would attend meetings called by the chief minister and his ministers till Kejriwal apologies for the incident.</p>

<p>&quot;In today&#39;s meeting, all officers were on the same page that bureaucrats are feeling themselves &quot;unsafe&quot;,&quot; an official said.</p>

<p>&quot;DASS, DANICS, IAS and other associations of Delhi government employees formed a coordination committee comprising of representatives of all associations. It was decided to continue peaceful protest against alleged assault of Prakash and work only through formal channels of communication,&quot; a statement issued by the associations stated.</p>

<p>The associations in a meeting yesterday had passed a resolution, saying they would, however, maintain written communications with AAP ministers to ensure there was no disruption in public service delivery.</p>

"In today's meeting, all officers were on the same page that bureaucrats are feeling themselves "unsafe"," an official said. <p>The Aam Aadmi Party has called Anshu Prakash&#39;s allegation &quot;ludicrous&quot;, adding that he was acting on the BJP&#39;s behest.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Arvind Kejriwal-led government has decided to halt its arrangement of giving out rations as Aadhaar-based distribution in Delhi.</p>

<p>According to reports, people were are facing difficulties in procuring commodities from fair price shops under Delhi government&#39;s Aadhaar-based distribution move which was taken up last month.</p>

<p>The Aadhaar-based e-PoS machines make use of Aadhaar biometric identification to make sure that a ration card-holder&nbsp;gets his/her allotted share of grains.</p>

<p>The decision was taken in the cabinet meeting headed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal earlier today.</p>

<p>Deputy Chief Minister&nbsp;Manish Sisodia&nbsp;reasoned the implementation of the electronic Point of Sale (e-PoS) devices by the Ration Department to differ with the government&#39;s move of online ration distribution in 2,254 fair price shops.</p>

<p>According to the new guidelines, nursing homes and private hospital registered under the Delhi Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1953 can not refuse to treat patients suffering serious injuries due to any reason whatsoever.</p>

<p>In its opinion sent to the President, the EC had said that by being parliamentary secretaries, they held office of profit and were liable to be disqualified as MLAs of the Delhi Assembly.</p>

<p>The petition before the EC was filed by Prashant Patel against 21 MLAs who were appointed as parliamentary secretaries by the AAP government in Delhi.</p>

<p>The proceedings against Jarnail Singh were dropped after he resigned as the Rajouri Garden MLA to contest the Punjab Assembly polls.</p>
