YouTube is now joining the list and taking steps to deal with the repercussions of the US Supreme Court’s verdict. On Thursday, the platform said that it will start removing videos containing false or unsafe claims about the abortion procedure.&nbsp;

Talking to AFP, YouTube said, “Starting today and ramping up over the next few weeks, we will remove content that provides instructions for unsafe abortion methods or promotes false claims about abortion safety under our medical misinformation policies.”

Instructions for risky at-home abortions and misleading claims that there is a high danger that the procedure would result in cancer or infertility are a few examples of the information YouTube stated it will remove from its platform globally.

One of the biggest names that extended a helping hand back in June was Google. This step was to help users protect their privacy and escape scrutiny.

However, as per a Guardian report, citing findings by the Tech Transparency Project, the research arm of the non-profit Campaign for Accountability the data still remains vulnerable. Anyone with access to a person’s phone can access their location history.

It would "amount to killing the child," according to a two-judge Delhi High Court panel that included Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad.

The HC court stated that it cannot permit what the law forbids - access to pregnancy termination for an unmarried woman between 20 and 24 weeks on the grounds that her relationship status changed. The woman testified before the court that she and her partner had a consensual relationship that led to the pregnancy. She said she wanted to end the pregnancy since her partner wouldn't marry her. She also admitted to the court that she worried about being stigmatised for being a single, unmarried lady.

She further added, “He said, 'Well, it's two bodies outside of the body, so that doesn't count.' I was kind of in shock, and I was like, 'Well, in light of everything that's happened, and I'm not trying to make a huge political stance here, but do you understand that this is a baby?'"

The Dallas Morning News was the first to report the interaction which happened some weeks ago, days after the Supreme Court concluded that there is no federal right to abortion and that abortion rights can be regulated by each state. Like many other states, Texas advocated for restrictions on abortion and the penal code refers to the fetus or unborn child as a ‘person.’

According to a report by The Guardian, Bernard Kim, who is the chief executive of the company said in a statement that the company&nbsp;has stopped funding the Republican Attorneys General Association after it was revealed that the company had made a $137,000 donation to the group.

A Mississippi court on Tuesday declines to block a near-total ban on abortions from coming into effect later this week. Judge Debbra Halford in Jackson, Mississippi denied a request by the state`s only abortion clinic to prevent officials from carrying out a near-total ban on abortion. The ban is due to come into effect on Thursday.

Jackson Women`s Health Organization, the abortion clinic cited 1998 ruling by the Mississippi Supreme Court in which it was held that right to privacy under the state`s constitution included a right to abortion.

However, Judge Halford expressed doubts that state high court would continue to uphold the decision.

Rob McDuff, a lawyer for the Mississippi clinic, called the ruling disappointing and said they were considering their options.

Mississippi is one of 13 states in the US where "trigger" laws are present. These laws are designed to ban/ restrict abortions once US Supreme Court overturned the landmark Roe v Wade judgment.

The US Supreme Court on June 24 overturned the landmark ruling that provided constitutional access to abortions to women in the US.

The conservative majority US&nbsp;Supreme Court`s decision gave states permission to ban abortion and nearly two dozen Republican-led states are now trying to do so, or have done so already.

Dr Caitlin Bernard, an Indianapolis obstetrician-gynecologist told Columbus Dispatch that she received a call from colleague in Ohio who works with abuse survivors. The colleague asked for Dr Bernard's help for the girl. Abortion procedure has not been banned in Indiana yet, but state lawmakers are likely to do so soon. A special session of the assembly is due to convene later this month.

Dr Bernard said that her clinic and other abortion providers are receiving increased number of patients who are coming from neighbouring states where abortions are banned.

“It’s hard to imagine that in just a few short weeks we will have no ability to provide that care,” said Dr Bernard as quoted by Columbus Dispatch.

Becoming a vanguard in the pushback against a seismic ruling by the country's Supreme Court that upended reproductive rights nationwide, the United States' state of New York moved to enshrine abortion rights and access to contraception in its constitution Friday, as reported by AFP.

The state Senate "advanced the first passage of an amendment to codify the right to an abortion and the right to contraception in the State Constitution," it said in a statement. New York state law already permits abortions, so the move would add an extra layer of legal protection for the procedure.

The amendment also seeks to "update the existing Equal Rights Amendment to extend current protections to several new classes, including on the basis of sex, disability, national origin, ethnicity, and age," it said. After passing the Senate, the legislation will next go to the state Assembly, where it is expected to be passed.

Voters will then cast their ballot on it directly in a referendum. Conservatives in the United States have been working for decades to overturn Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that said the US constitution provides for a right to an abortion. Last month they got their wish when the court's new conservative majority overturned Roe with a decision that was widely expected, but nonetheless ignited nationwide protests and brought international condemnation.

"The reversal of Roe v. Wade made it clear that New York State must continue to stand up and be a national leader to protect women and individual rights," said New York Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, a Democrat, in the statement, as reported by AFP.

Kentucky came up with a law that meant a near-total ban on abortions, but it looks like the implementation of the law will not be happening right now. Meanwhile, similar sentiments were expressed by a judge in Florida who said he will block a 15-week abortion ban.

The abortion clinics in Kentucky were not carrying out the processes after Roe v Wade was overturned but the judgement by Jefferson County Circuit Judge Mitch Perry&nbsp;will be a massive boost for the women with scheduled appointments to go through with the procedure.

The judgement was instantly criticised by Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron who said that he will be challenging it. “We will do everything possible to continue defending this law and to ensure that unborn life is protected in the Commonwealth,” he said in a statement.

It left a deep scar, and her decision still haunts the 53-year-old woman.

"Roe vs. Wade put an expectation on women to feel like they have to alter, suppress and destroy the normal healthy functions of their natural body in order to meet definitions of success that are really based on male norms," he told AFP.

"We're very hopeful that by overturning [the law], we can actually solve the true issues, really solve women's equality, women's rights."

32-year-old Jazzmin Hernandez, a&nbsp;teacher who has no children, believes that no reason can justify a woman’s decision to end a child’s life.

"It doesn't matter how the baby was conceived. Nothing justifies ending a child's life," she said.

"I think Texas is setting an example, and hopefully other states will follow suit and abortion will be completely banned."

The American religious right had never accepted the previous 1973 "Roe v. Wade" ruling that guaranteed US abortion rights and several conservative states immediately announced they would ban abortion. France was one of several US allies to condemn the decision, with President Emmanuel Macron denouncing a threat to women's freedom.

The leader of Macron's party in parliament on Saturday said she had tabled a bill to "enshrine the respect for abortion in our constitution" amid the rise of the far-right National Rally, a party she described as "fierce opponents" of abortion. "Women's rights are always fragile rights that are regularly threatened," Aurore Berge told the France Inter radio station.

The left-wing NUPES alliance and Macron's Ensemble coalition would together command a large majority in favour of such a constitutional change. Changing the constitution requires the National Assembly and Senate to adopt the same text, then a three-fifths majority of parliament sitting in congress. The other option is a referendum.
