Virat Kohli-led Bangalore team has created an unwanted record of most consecutive defeats in Indian Premier League. Now, the Bangalore team have suffered seven consecutive defeats from May 19, 2018, to April 7, 2019.
This is not something new for Virat-led team as in 2008, Bangalore registered six back-to-back defeats and in 2017, they faced five consecutive losses.
In the ongoing season, Bangalore's woeful run continues when they suffered sixth straight defeat against Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.
Bangalore also matched Delhi's 2013 record for maximum consecutive losses at the beginning of an IPL season.
Like Delhi in 2013, Bangalore also faced sixth consecutive defeats in the start of a season.
Bangalore batsmen struggled on a tough wicket after being invited to bat first and could only manage 149 for 8 in the stipulated 20 overs.
