English Premier League giants Manchester United are likely to part ways with Jadon Sancho in the coming summer as they look to bounce back from a disappointing 2023-24 campaign. Sancho, who is currently on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Manchester United has been in spectacular form helping his side reach the Champions League semifinal while keeping them on the brink of a final in London’s Wembley Stadium. While no club has revealed firm interest in Sancho, Dortmund remain the favourite to sign him during the close season.

Sancho to leave Man Utd?

Speaking on Sancho’s situation, current United boss Erik ten Hag has praised the player and feels happy for him. Interestingly, it was the frictional relationship between Sancho and Ten Hag that forced the former’s exit from the club in the January transfer window. The England international was out of favour at the club before being asked to switch temporarily.

"So let's say this: [on Wednesday vs. PSG] he played very well and he's a very good player," Ten Hag told a news conference on Thursday. "Yesterday he showed why Manchester United bought him and he showed he represents a high value for Manchester United, which is good.

"I'm happy for Jadon, for the performance yesterday, and we'll see what is going to happen in the future."

However, according to reports now, the 24-year-old is exploring his options if Ten Hag remains at the club. His six-month loan deal comes to an end in June, meaning he and Ten Hag will have to reunite in the summer if both stay at the club. The United board is also looking to avoid any toxicity at the club level and could ask Sancho to leave if the Dutch manager stays at the club.

On Wednesday evening Sancho became the first player in the current Champions League season to complete 10 dribbles against an opponent. He provided the assist to Niclas Fullkrug’s only goal of the Champions League first leg contest against Paris Saint-Germain which has seen the tie nicely poised ahead of the second leg in Paris on upcoming Tuesday.
