Alfa Romeo launches Junior VELOCE 280

Alfa Romeo has pulled back the curtain on its latest creation, the Junior VELOCE 280, marking the Italian automaker's bold entry into the electric vehicle market. This compact powerhouse, unveiled at the iconic Balocco Proving Ground, represents a perfect fusion of Alfa Romeo's storied racing heritage and cutting-edge electric technology.

The Junior VELOCE 280 is not just another electric car; it's a statement of intent from a brand known for its passion for driving. At just over 4 metres long, this compact EV packs a punch that belies its size. The heart of this automotive marvel is a state-of-the-art electric motor, jointly developed by Alfa Romeo engineering, Stellantis Engineering Propulsion Systems, and Emotors. This power plant delivers an impressive 207 kW (280 HP) and 345 Nm of torque, catapulting the Junior VELOCE 280 from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 5.9 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 200 km/h.

But raw power is just part of the story. Alfa Romeo has gone to great lengths to ensure that the Junior VELOCE 280 delivers the brand's signature driving experience. The car features a world-first addition for its segment: a Torsen 'D' mechanical limited-slip differential.
