Police said demonstrators clashed with security personnel and pelted stones, leading to injuries.
The situation worsened when protesters set fire to private vehicles. They also attempted to stop a state transport bus travelling from Imphal to Senapati district, police said.&nbsp;
At least 16 protesters sustained different types of injuries during the clashes with security officials at Gamgiphai, Motbung and Keithelmanbi, police said. Police said that they have been admitted to the nearby public health centre for treatment.&nbsp;
Protesters also blocked NH-2 (Imphal-Dimapur highway) and burned tyres to obstruct the movement of government vehicles.&nbsp;
At Sekmai, the march of around 10 vehicles was halted by security forces before it could reach Kangpokpi district. "We are just following orders. We have been told to stop the march. If they want to go, they can go in the state buses arranged by the government," a policeman said, adding that they had been told to stop the march as they did not have permission.&nbsp;

Recently, Shah chaired a high-level review meeting on the security situation of Manipur in New Delhi and said that the government remains fully committed to restoring lasting peace in Manipur and providing all necessary assistance.&nbsp;
The Indian home minister had also instructed free movement to be ensured for people on all roads in Manipur from March 8, 2025, asking security officials to take strict action against anyone attempting to create obstructions.&nbsp;
Shah had also directed that the fencing work on both sides of the designated entry points along Manipur's international border be completed as soon as possible. He said that the entire network involved in the drug trade should be dismantled in order to make Manipur drug-free.&nbsp;

YouTubers and influencers Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija submitted written apologies to the National Comission for Women over their offensive remarks made on YouTube show India's Got Latent last month. Allahbadia, Mukhija and show producers Saurabh Bothra and Tushar Poojari appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) in Mumbai on Thursday. The two YouTubers were reportedly quizzed for hours.&nbsp; The NCW &nbsp;panel chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar asserted their comments on the online show were "simply not acceptable".

Because right from the beginning, before the film starts, it becomes about 'how do we sell it?' So the joy of filmmaking is sucked out. That's why I want to move out. Kashyap is busy promoting Footage these days. A Malayalam thriller directed by Saiju Sreedharan, Footage features Manju Warrier, Vishak Nair, and Gayathri Ashok. The film had released in August last year. Its Hindi version is set to premiere on March 7, 2025. Anurag Kashyap is also a presenter of the film.&nbsp;
Kashyap will next be seen in Dacoit, where he plays a cop. The bilingual film, shot in Hindi and Telugu, stars Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles. The film's release date is yet to be announced.

Researchers have found a never-before-seen species of scorpion that lived around 125 million years ago, findings published in the journal Science Bulletin revealed.&nbsp;
Researchers said in the report that the venomous scorpion was larger than many ancient and modern scorpion species.&nbsp;
This scorpion was believed to have been a vital part of the food chain in its ancient ecosystem. It used to eat spiders, lizards and even small mammals.&nbsp;

The Mesozoic Era, also known as the Age of Reptiles, is a geologic era that spanned from about 252 million to 66 million years ago. It is divided into three periods: Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous.&nbsp;
Researchers have said that this is just the fourth terrestrial scorpion fossil to be found in China and the first Mesozoic-era scorpion fossil found in the country.&nbsp;
As quoted by Live Science, study co-author Diying Huang, a researcher at the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology in China, said that most scorpions from the Mesozoic era are preserved in amber.&nbsp;

He further said that fossilised scorpions are much rarer because these arachnids live under rocks and branches, and hence, they are less likely to be trapped in sediment and fossilise.&nbsp;
The fossil was discovered in northeastern China's Yixian Formation, a hotspot for Early Cretaceous fossils. The new species was given the name Jeholia longchengi by the scientists.&nbsp;
"Longchengi" refers to the Longcheng district of Chaoyang, China, where the fossil is currently found, and "Jeholia" refers to the Jehol Biota, the environment of northeast China in the Early Cretaceous.&nbsp;

In a mail to Live Science, Huang said that J. longchengi was roughly 4 inches (10 centimetres) long, making it something of a giant of its time. He said, "Other Mesozoic scorpions are much smaller, most of them less than half [the size] of the new species."&nbsp;

With a skull estimated between 79.8 mm to 126.4 mm (4.98 inches), the Retymaijychampsa beckerorum is considered small-sized compared to most members of its clade.&nbsp;

Speaking at an all-party meeting organised by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, Haasan delivered a passionate speech, saying, "We envision an inclusive India, but they want to create 'Hindia.' Why try to fix something that isn't broken? There is no need to repeatedly disrupt a functioning democracy."

Haasan argued that the redrawing of parliamentary constituencies would disproportionately impact non-Hindi-speaking states, stating, "No matter how constituencies are redrawn, the ones most affected will always be the non-Hindi-speaking states.
