<p>Subsequently, Saeed was arrested by the Punjab counter-terrorism department on charges of terror financing while he was travelling from Lahore to Gujranwala.</p>

<p>A total of 23 FIRs&nbsp;were filed against 13 individuals belonging to the JuD, <a href="https://www.wionews.com/south-asia/pakistan-hafiz-saeed-pleads-not-guilty-on-terrorism-financing-charges-269394">Lashker-e-Taiba</a> and <a href="https://www.wionews.com/south-asia/pakistan-hafiz-saeed-pleads-not-guilty-on-terrorism-financing-charges-269394">Falah-i-Insaniyat</a> foundation. Eleven&nbsp;of these 23 FIRs&nbsp;directly named Hafiz Saeed as the culprit.</p>

<p>In August last year,&nbsp;chargesheet in the cases were filed while the anti-terror court in Lahore commenced the hearing on November 30 last year.</p>

<p>Acting swiftly the anti-terror court&nbsp;Lahore had indicted Saeed on December 11 and the cases were heard on a daily bases from December 16.</p>

<p>In December, twenty of&nbsp;the ATC&nbsp;at Gujranwala too indicted Saeed under the charges of funding terror groups through shell organisations.</p>

<p>Both the cases were later clubbed together and heard at the Lahore ATC.</p>

<p>The defence completed its argument on January 30, 2020 while the prosecution carried on with its argument.</p>

<p>The hearings had concluded on February 6.&nbsp;Meanwhile,&nbsp;Saeed remains in the central jail in Lahore.</p>

<p>Saeed is&nbsp;the mastermind of the <a href="https://www.wionews.com/south-asia/pakistan-hafiz-saeed-pleads-not-guilty-on-terrorism-financing-charges-269394">26/11 Mumbai</a> attacks and was&nbsp;arrested 16 times in the past and released every time.&nbsp;</p>

Eleven of these 23 FIRs directly named Hafiz Saeed as the culprit. In August last year, chargesheet in the cases were filed while the anti-terror court in Lahore commenced the hearing on November 30 last year. Acting swiftly the anti-terror court Lahore had indicted Saeed on December 11 and the cases were heard on a daily bases from December 16. In December, twenty of the ATC at Gujranwala too indicted Saeed under the charges of funding terror groups through shell organisations. Both the cases were later clubbed together and heard at the Lahore ATC. The defence completed its argument on January 30, 2020 while the prosecution carried on with its argument. The hearings had concluded on February 6. Meanwhile, Saeed remains in the central jail in Lahore. Saeed is the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and was arrested 16 times in the past and released every time.

<p>The record was held by Norwegian 787 which had taken five hours 13 minutes, according to Flightradar24 as reports said due to the winds flights starting from the UK took additional time to reach the United States.</p>

<p>Flightradar24 in its blog post said: "Accomplished with a <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/british-airways-pilots-ground-planes-in-unprecedented-48-hour-strike-248533">Boeing </a>747-400, the flight took advantage of a well-placed and strong jet stream to reach London in under 5 hours."</p>

<p>Storm Ciara battered the United Kingdom over the weekend with wind speeds of over 145 km per hour on Sunday leading to large scale flight cancellations.</p>

<p>The storm created large scale disruptions across Britain especially in Yorkshire, northern England with at least 200 flood warnings.</p>

<p>The coronavirus death toll in China rose to above nine hundred with over 40,000 infected overtaking the global fatalities in the 2002-03 SARS epidemic.</p>

<p>The death toll from the virus stood at 908 in the latest figures put out by China's health commission with 40,171 infected nationwide as the virus showed no sign of abating.</p>

<p>The superyacht consists of five decks and can host fourteen&nbsp;guests and can accommodate 31 crew members. The yacht&nbsp;will also consist of gel-fueled fire bowls to further its eco-friendly feature, these fire bowls will allow guests to stay warm outside without having to burn wood&nbsp;or coal.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The most intriguing feature about the yacht is its two 28-tonne vaccum sealed tanks that are cooled to -253 degree celsius, these tanks are filled with liquid hydrogen, which powers the ship.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The fuel will produce power for the two one-megawatt motors and propellors via onboard fuel cells, which combine hydrogen with oxygen to produce electricity. Water will be a byproduct. The vessel is predicted to reach a speed of 17 knots (31.4 km/h) and travel for 6,035 kilometres (nearly London to New York) without refuelling. Diesel will act as the back-up fuel because the number of hydrogen refuelling station is scarce.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to Britain's Sunday Telegraph, the yacht is predicted to make its first journey in 2024.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Taiwan's Air Force scrambled for a second day in a row on Monday to intercept Chinese jets that approached the island claimed by Beijing as its own, as tensions between the two took on a potentially dangerous military dimension.</p>

<p>Taiwan's Defence Ministry said Chinese jets, accompanying H-6 bombers, briefly crossed an unofficial mid-line in the Taiwan Strait that separates the two, prompting its Air Force to rush to intercept and give verbal warnings to leave.</p>

<p>The Chinese aircraft then withdrew to the western side of the line, the ministry added, without identifying the jets.</p>

<p>The H-6s were on a training mission in the Pacific having passed through the Bashi Channel that separates Taiwan from the Philippines, the ministry added and shared a picture of a Taiwan F-16 accompanying one of the H-6 bombers.</p>

<p>China has been flying what it calls "island encirclement" drills on-off since 2016 when Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen first took office. Beijing believes Tsai, who won re-election last month, wishes to push the island's formal independence.</p>

<p>Tsai says Taiwan is an independent country called the Republic of China, its official name.</p>

<p>On Sunday too, Chinese jets, including J-11 fighters, flew into the Bashi Channel then out into the Pacific before heading back to base via the Miyako Strait, located between Japan's islands of Miyako and Okinawa, to the northeast of Taiwan.</p>

<p>According to Taiwan's official Central News Agency, the F-16s scrambled on Sunday carried live missiles.</p>

<p>There was no immediate comment from China on Monday's incident. This is only the second time since 2016 that Taiwan has said that Chinese jets had crossed the strait's median line. Their military aircraft tend to keep to their own sides.</p>

<p>China's Taiwan Affairs Office, though, urged Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) "not to play with fire".</p>

<p>The DPP have been "adopting a stance that increases cross-strait confrontation, intensifying new moves for Taiwan-U.S. collusion, using the opportunity to seek independence and openly carrying out dangerous provocations", it added.</p>

<p>China's Eastern Theatre Command described Sunday's fly-by of military's combat ready patrol as a "completely legitimate and necessary action aimed at the current situation in the Taiwan Strait and safeguarding national sovereignty".</p>

<p>The latest fly-bys came as Taiwan's vice-president elect, William Lai, was returning from a visit to Washington, where he attended the high-profile National Prayer Breakfast, at which US&nbsp;President Donald Trump spoke. China denounced Lai's trip.</p>

<p>Washington is Taipei's most important backer and arms supplier, despite the absence of official diplomatic ties.</p>

<p>China says Taiwan is the most sensitive issue in its relations with the United States.</p>

<p>Relations between the Taipei and Beijing have further soured recently over the coronavirus outbreak, with Taiwan accusing China of preventing the island from accessing full information from the World Health Organization or attending its meetings.</p>

<p>China should focus on controlling the spread of the virus, rather than threatening Taiwan, Tsai said on Monday.</p>

<p>Taiwan's China-policy making Mainland Affairs Council said the island's 23 million people would not bow down to threats.</p>

<p>"In recent years, Communist aircraft and warships have frequented the vicinity of the Taiwan Strait and attempted to use arms to force unification," it said.</p>

<p>"Various provocative acts have seriously damaged the status quo of the Taiwan Strait and have increased regional tensions."</p>

<p>Europe and <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/nasa-blasts-off-historic-probe-to-touch-sun-158625/amp">NASA</a>'s Solar Orbiter took off to space on Sunday night to an unprecedented mission to capture the first images of the Sun's poles.</p>

<p>Nearly 1,000 scientists and engineers from across Europe gathered with their US&nbsp;colleagues as the rocket blasted off, illuminating the sky for miles as&nbsp;crowds jammed nearby roads and beaches.&nbsp;The rocket was visible for four full minutes after liftoff.</p>

<p>Solar Orbiter is a 4,000-pound spacecraft with long and slender&nbsp;instruments&nbsp;and antennas and will go past Venus in December and again next year, and then past Earth, using the planets' gravity to alter its path.</p>

<p>Full science operations will begin in late 2021, with the first close solar encounter in 2022 and more every six months.&nbsp;At its closest approach, Solar Orbiter will come within 26 million miles of the Sun, well within the orbit of Mercury.&nbsp;It differs from the Parker Solar Probe, by which&nbsp;is already past&nbsp;11.6 million miles within the Sun but it's flying nowhere near the poles.</p>

<p>Whereas,&nbsp;Solar Orbiter will inspect the elusive poles of the Sun.&nbsp;The Sun's poles are pockmarked with dark, constantly shifting coronal holes. They're hubs for the Sun's magnetic field, flipping polarity every 11 years.</p>

<p>Solar Orbiter's head-on views should finally yield a full 3-D view of the Sun, 93 million miles from the Earth.</p>

(Image courtesy: NASA) Solar Orbiter is a 4,000-pound spacecraft with long and slender instruments and antennas and will go past Venus in December and again next year, and then past Earth, using the planets' gravity to alter its path. Full science operations will begin in late 2021, with the first close solar encounter in 2022 and more every six months. At its closest approach, Solar Orbiter will come within 26 million miles of the Sun, well within the orbit of Mercury. It differs from the Parker Solar Probe, by which is already past 11.6 million miles within the Sun but it's flying nowhere near the poles. Whereas, Solar Orbiter will inspect the elusive poles of the Sun. The Sun's poles are pockmarked with dark, constantly shifting coronal holes. They're hubs for the Sun's magnetic field, flipping polarity every 11 years. Solar Orbiter's head-on views should finally yield a full 3-D view of the Sun, 93 million miles from the Earth.
