<a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/elon-musk-calls-facebook-lame-and-urges-people-to-delete-it-279969">Facebook </a>has postponed the launch of its new dating services in the European Union scheduled for Thursday after Ireland's Data Protection Commissioner (DPC) raised concerns about the launch.

The social network had announced the launch of the services in the United States in September last year.

The service would have allowed users to integrate their Instagram accounts with Facebook's dating profile and add Instagram followers to their "Secret Crush" lists.

Ireland's Data Protection Commissioner is&nbsp;the main regulator in the European Union for a number of the world's biggest technology firms including <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/latest-world-news-facebook-and-twitter-decline-pelosis-plea-to-remove-doctored-clip-posted-by-donald-trump-279743">Facebook</a>.

It released a statement which stated&nbsp;that it was informed&nbsp;about the February&nbsp;13 launch on February&nbsp;3 and was very concerned about being given such short notice.

The DPC said in a statement that those concerns were further compounded when it was given no documentation regarding data protection impact assessments or decision making processes that had been undertaken by <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/elon-musk-calls-facebook-lame-and-urges-people-to-delete-it-279969">Facebook</a>.

To expedite the process, DPC officers conducted an inspection at <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/elon-musk-calls-facebook-lame-and-urges-people-to-delete-it-279969">Facebook </a>Ireland offices in Dublin on February&nbsp;10 and gathered documentation, it said.

Hubei's health commission said another 14,840 new cases were reported in the area. The previous record rise in the toll was 103 on February 10.

In Hubei province, at least 56 million people have been placed under virtual quarantine by Chinese authorities.

And usually when they repeat, it's sporadic or in a cluster, according to previous observations.

Researchers are tracing the origin of these mysterious bursts but so far, they have traced myriad sources every burst.

But for now it's only a spark. Our objective remains containment."
