<p>A protest was held on Monday outside the Mansa civil hospital, where Sidhu Moose Wala's body has been kept for post mortem, demanding action against those responsible for the Punjabi singer's killing.</p>

<p>Inspector General of Police Pradeep Yadav and other officials visited the residence of the singer to talk to his family members about the post-mortem. It is learnt that Moose Wala's family was not agreeing to conduct the post-mortem as of now.</p>

<p>Moose Wala, 28, was shot dead on Sunday by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district, a day after the state government curtailed his security cover. His cousin and a friend, who were travelling in a Mahindra Thar jeep with him, were also injured in the attack.</p>

<p>He had fought the recent assembly election on a Congress ticket from Mansa and was defeated by the AAP's Vijay Singla.</p>

<p>Heavy security has been deployed by the police outside the civil hospital and barricades have also been put up.</p>

<p>A protester said, "We are demanding action against those who were behind the murder of Sidhu Moose Wala."</p>

<p>Punjab Congress chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, former deputy chief minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and some other Congress leaders reached the residence of Moose Wala in Mansa and condoled his death.</p>

<p>A large number of supporters and villagers also gathered at his residence.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered over the killing of Moose Wala over the complaint of his father Balkaur Singh.</p>

<p>The Punjab Police has termed the killing of Moose Wala a result of an inter-gang rivalry and blamed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for it.</p>

<p>At least three weapons including one of 9 mm calibre were used and 30 empty cases were recovered from the site.</p>

17th edition of Mumbai International Film Festival begins with a bang

<p>The day has finally come! Fans of legendary actor Aamir Khan can see their icon step into the shoes&nbsp;of&nbsp;Laal Singh Chaddha and witness him tell a simple man’s extraordinary story.</p>

<p>Starring&nbsp;Kareena Kapoor in the female&nbsp;lead alongside Aamir, the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’&nbsp;is a Hindi adaptation of the hit Hollywood film &nbsp;‘Forrest Gump’. The film&nbsp;marks the Bollywood debut of south actor Naga Chaitanya.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It is helmed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The trailer of the film was&nbsp;released by the makers during the first innings of the IPL 2022 finale. Aamir also shared it on his Instagram account for his fans.</p>

<p>The 2-minute-long trailer gives glimpses into the strong and emotional&nbsp;bond between a specially-abled child and a mother, played by &nbsp;Mona Singh. In the trailer, the mother,&nbsp;who is ready to&nbsp;move mountains for her son, is seen&nbsp;making&nbsp;sure that her little munchkin&nbsp;is considered ‘normal’ and behaves like other&nbsp;healthy young boys.</p>

<p>Then we see little Laal overcoming his disability and getting a spot in the armed forces. A romantic connection is also seen between Aamir and Kareena but not much is revealed in the trailer.&nbsp;</p>

The day has finally come! Fans of legendary actor Aamir Khan can see their icon step into the shoes of Laal Singh Chaddha and witness him tell a simple man’s extraordinary story. Starring Kareena Kapoor in the female lead alongside Aamir, the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is a Hindi adaptation of the hit Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’. The film marks the Bollywood debut of south actor Naga Chaitanya. It is helmed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures. The trailer of the film was released by the makers during the first innings of the IPL 2022 finale. Aamir also shared it on his Instagram account for his fans. The 2-minute-long trailer gives glimpses into the strong and emotional bond between a specially-abled child and a mother, played by Mona Singh. In the trailer, the mother, who is ready to move mountains for her son, is seen making sure that her little munchkin is considered ‘normal’ and behaves like other healthy young boys. Then we see little Laal overcoming his disability and getting a spot in the armed forces. A romantic connection is also seen between Aamir and Kareena but not much is revealed in the trailer. <p>Channelling her inner desi Indian girl, the diva opted for a stunning off-white saree by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. Her statement pearl-studded blouse took the look a couple of notches higher.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Padukone finished her stint at the French film festival as a Cannes jury member in utmost style. For the closing ceremony, the&nbsp;star donned&nbsp;an ethereal Indian look and got applauds from fashion critics and aficionados.&nbsp;</p>

<p>To accessorise&nbsp;her ruffled off-white saree, the actress wore an&nbsp;equally stunning pearl necklace and round stud earrings. For her makeup, she opted for&nbsp;kohl-rimmed eyes and contoured cheeks. For her&nbsp;hairdo, she opted a&nbsp;sleek bun.</p>

<p>Dropping a series of images of her final look from the French Riviera on Instagram,&nbsp;the actress added a white heart emoji in the caption. In no time, the photos went viral on social media and several paparazzi snaps&nbsp;from the event also surfaced online.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Right before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final match between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals began,&nbsp;Bollywood’s superstar&nbsp;Ranveer Singh and music maestro A R Rehman gave a power-packed performance amid nearly&nbsp;1,10,000 spectators. At IPL’s&nbsp;closing ceremony&nbsp;at&nbsp;the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad,&nbsp;Ranveer&nbsp;performed for&nbsp;20 to 25 minutes on his hit&nbsp;songs and brought a big smile to his fans’ faces.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor also performed on popular tracks from regional films like ‘RRR’&nbsp;and ‘KGF Chapter-2’. Seeing the actor groove on Yash’s popular track, fans couldn’t stop cheering. And, the stadium got filled with applauds.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the sources,&nbsp;a criminal namely Shahrukh&nbsp;was found to be communicating&nbsp;with Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar from jail. During his interrogation, it was revealed that&nbsp;the task of killing Sidhu Musewala was given to the arrested accused&nbsp;on behalf of gangsters Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi. Shahrukh also told the special cell&nbsp;that he had tried to kill Moose Wala&nbsp;before, but then seeing the security personnel, he returned.</p>

<p>Not only this, but in the interrogation, Shahrukh&nbsp;has also given a total of 8 names, whom he has accused of helping the killers. Shockingly, it&nbsp;also includes the name of Punjabi singer Mankirat Aulakh’s manager.</p>

<p>Minutes after Moose Wala’s death, Brar had reportedly&nbsp;claimed responsibility for the singer’s&nbsp;death.&nbsp;Since Brar is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Delhi Police Special Cell is suspecting the involvement of the gang and is questioning gangster Bishnoi and his aides Kala Jathedi and Kala Rana.</p>

<p>Bishnoi is currently lodged in a Rajasthan jail.</p>

<p>On Sunday, the Punjab Police said that the attack on the singer&nbsp;seems&nbsp;to be due to an inter-gang war. Meanwhile,&nbsp;Delhi Police recently stated that Moose Wala’s murder might have a connection with&nbsp;the killing&nbsp;of Vikramjit alias Vicky Middukhera.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the Delhi police special cell, the singer’s name&nbsp;came up in connection with the murder of Vicky in August last year. And, Moose Wala’s manager Shaganpreet was also involved in the fiasco.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Special Cell of Delhi Police recently became aware of the nexus of notorious gangster Neeraj Bawania and Tillu Tajpuria. Bawania and Tajpuria had teamed up with different gangsters from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.</p>

<p>The Delhi Police had arrested about a dozen miscreants of this five-member gang in connection with the murder of Vicky. Those arrested were identified as sharpshooter Sajjan Singh alias Bholu, Anil Kumar alias Lath and Ajay Kumar alias Sunny Kaushal.</p>

<p>Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday announced the setting up of a judicial commission under the chairmanship of a sitting judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court to probe the murder case of renowned singer Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala.</p>

<p>The Chief Minister, while acceding to the request of Balkar Singh Sidhu, the father of slain singer, said the state government will be requesting the Chief Justice of the High Court to get the case enquired into by a sitting judge.</p>

<p>Mann said the state government will ensure full cooperation to this enquiry commission, including roping in of any of the central agencies like National Investigation Agency (NIA).</p>

<p>He further asked the Director General of Police (DGP) to issue a clarification regarding his Sunday press conference regarding the incident.</p>

<p>Condemning the gruesome murder of Moose Wala, the Chief Minister unequivocally said the government will leave no stone unturned to put the perpetrators of this heinous crime behind the bars.</p>

<p>Mann said he has already issued directions to the police for thorough investigation of the case in a prompt and result-oriented manner. The Chief Minister categorically said all the aspects of security reduction of the late singer are also under scrutiny and responsibility of lapse, if any, will be definitely fixed.</p>

<p>Meanwhile, expressing deep shock and grief at the demise of Moose Wala, the Chief Minister said the departed singer was a celebrated artist and a cultural icon of Punjab.</p>

<p>Mann said he has deep regards for departed soul, adding that the state government was solidly with the aggrieved family in this hour of grief.</p>

<p>He shared his condolences with the family and prayed to almighty for granting eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.</p>

<p>He was on the wheel in a Mahindra Thar SUV when the assailants, believed to be 10-12, fired more than 20 rounds at point-blank range at the singer and his two friends, who got grievous injuries. Moose Wala got seven-eight bullets.</p>

<p>Moose Wala was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The civil surgeon at Mansa hospital said Moose Wala was brought dead, while the two others were referred to another hospital for treatment.</p>

<p>The incident happened a day after the Punjab Police ordered the withdrawal of security of more than 420 people, including former legislators, Jathedars of two Takhts, heads of deras and police officers.</p>

<p>Another sad news from Kolkata! Fourth death in a fortnight from the world of showbiz in Kolkata.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An aspiring&nbsp;model was found dead in her Kolkata residence on Sunday. This is fourth such incident in the city in a fortnight. The body of 18-year-old model-cum-makeup artist Saraswati Das was found hanging at her&nbsp;residence at Bediadanga in Kasba area, according to police officials. No suicide note has been recovered from the place of incident, so far.</p>

<p>As per the initial probe, Saraswati had allegedly hung herself in her room on Saturday night using a dupatta. The following day, a&nbsp;senior police official shed light on the incident in a statement. After speaking to the aspiring model's family, cops discovered that she was living with her maternal uncle along with her mother from the last 17 years as her father had estranged them.</p>

<p>As per reports, she last spoke to her boyfriend at 1 am on Sunday. And, at around 2 am, her grandmother found her hanging from the ceiling fan. Cops stated that the aspiring model had a minor argument with her partner over meeting somewhere on Sunday.</p>
