<p>Japan's launch of an H-IIA rocket, carrying a moon lander into space, has been postponed due to unfavourable wind conditions in the upper atmosphere, according to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), the operator of the rocket, media reports said. The announcement was made through MHI's launch services unit on the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, just 24 minutes before the scheduled launch time. The mission was cancelled "because it was confirmed that the upper wind does not satisfy the constraints at launch," MHI's launch services unit said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The launch was planned to take place at 9:26 am local time (0026 GMT) on Monday (August 28) from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan, operated by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).</p>

<p>US President Joe Biden on Sunday (August 27) condemned the Jacksonville shooting in strongest words saying, "white supremacy has no place in America." In a statement, the US president said, “Even as we continue searching for answers, we must say clearly and forcefully that white supremacy has no place in America."</p>

<p>Further, rebuking the racist attack that claimed the lives of three people, the US president said, “We must refuse to live in a country where Black families going to the store or Black students going to school live in fear of being gunned down because of the colour of their skin. Hate must have no safe harbour. Silence is complicity and we must not remain silent."</p>

<p>“Jill and I are praying for the victims and their families, and we grieve with the people of Jacksonville," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The head of the European Union's observer mission on Friday said this week's vote took place in a "climate of fear". Southern African regional bloc SADC's mission noted issues including voting delays, the banning of rallies and biased state media coverage.</p>

<p>Nicole Beardsworth, a politics lecturer at the University of the Witwatersrand, said she thought the late Saturday announcement was probably a response to the critique by SADC and other election observers.</p>

<p>"We all have a lot of questions about the speed with which ZEC is announcing presidential results," she said.</p>

<p>Voting in this week's presidential and parliamentary elections was meant to be wrapped up within one day on Wednesday, but it was extended into Thursday in some wards after the late distribution of ballot papers.</p>

Elon Musk unveils new job hiring feature on X for verified organisations

<p>Imran Khan, the former Pakistani Prime Minister, has once again admitted to misplacing the cipher, an alleged evidence of a US-backed conspiracy to oust him from power due to his take on Russia, local media reports said.&nbsp;During an interrogation held inside the Attock jail on Sunday (August 27), Imran Khan, who was removed from the prime ministerial office following a no-confidence vote in April last year, responded to inquiries posed by a three-member team from the Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) Cybercrime Circle. The team, led by Deputy Director Ayyaz Khan, aimed to delve into the matter of the missing cipher, as per reports.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Khan's denial</strong></h2>

<p>Sources quoted by Geo News indicated that Khan cooperated with the investigation team during the hour-long inquiry.</p>

<p>However, the former premier refuted claims that the paper he displayed at a public gathering last year was the cipher in question.&nbsp;"The paper I gestured in the public were cabinet meeting minutes, and not cipher,” the former premier reportedly said during the interrogation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Insiders quoted by media outlets mentioned that this likely marked the conclusion of the investigation into the cipher issue.&nbsp;“It was, probably, the last session of investigation of cipher issue,” sources told Geo News.</p>

<p>Officials involved in the case were expected to convene meetings to reach a resolution. The investigation is set to wrap up in the upcoming week.&nbsp;</p>
