<p>Reports have emerged that Chinese military forces have initiated significant underground construction activities in Aksai Chin, located to the east of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), a region which India claims to be the nation's integral part.&nbsp;</p>

<p>These activities involve the creation of tunnels and shafts into a hillside along a narrow river valley. Multiple fortified shelters and bunkers are being built to house soldiers and keep the weaponry hidden. Satellite imagery from space tech company, Maxar, reportedly exposed the presence of around 11 hidden shafts carved into the rock surfaces on both sides of the river valley.</p>

<p>Experts quoted by various media outlets have meticulously analysed these images and are of the opinion that these extensive construction activities, over the past several months, seem to reflect China's strategic maneuvering to counterbalance India's perceived military advantage in the region. <p>The law, imposed in 2020 by Beijing after massive and at times violent democracy protests, has effectively quelled all dissent in Hong Kong -- silencing the opposition camp and civil rights groups.</p>

<p>The article in question on the association's website was a fictional short story depicting a future, culturally assimilated Hong Kong, written by a third party and entered into a 2020 writing competition held by the group.</p>

<p>After Pakistan's jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's sentence was suspended on Tuesday (August 29) in the Toshakhana case, Shehbaz Sharif reacted on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter. &nbsp;</p>

<p>After the verdict was announced post-hearing on the case, the former premier&nbsp;lashed out at the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Umar Ata Bandial saying that he tried saving the "blue-eyed boy" or "Ladley" Imran Khan.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, he also said that the verdict is not final as the sentence is only "suspended, not terminated".</p>

<p>In a post on X, Sharif wrote, "Chief Justice's message of 'Good to see you'&nbsp;and 'Wishing you good luck'&nbsp;reached Islamabad High Court. Before the decision comes, everyone knows what the decision will be, so it should be a momentary concern for the justice system. With the study, the researchers managed to regularise the circadian clocks of the mice effectively&nbsp;through an intermittent fasting regimen. It is worth noting that circadian clocks are disrupted by Alzheimer's leading to&nbsp;altered sleep patterns, increased cognitive impairment during evenings, and sleep-related difficulties.&nbsp;</p>

It is worth noting that circadian clocks are disrupted by Alzheimer's leading to altered sleep patterns, increased cognitive impairment during evenings, and sleep-related difficulties. The study's findings have been published in Cell Metabolism. Furthermore, the accumulation of amyloid proteins, a hallmark of Alzheimer's, was reduced in the brains of the fasting mice. Mice adhering to the feeding schedule displayed more regular sleep patterns, reduced nighttime hyperactivity, and fewer sleep disruptions compared to mice with unrestricted eating times. "This makes circadian disruptions a promising target for new Alzheimer's treatments, and our findings provide the proof-of-concept for an easy and accessible way to correct these disruptions," Desplats added. The mice were confined to a six-hour eating window daily, equivalent to a 14-hour fasting period within a 24-hour cycle for humans. This fasting approach appeared to reset the natural circadian rhythms disrupted by Alzheimer's.
