<p>British police on Sunday charged an ex-soldier suspected of terrorism offences with unlawfully escaping from custody, after he was recaptured following four days on the run, having absconded from a London jail.</p>

<p>Daniel Abed Khalife, 21, who worked in the kitchen of Wandsworth prison, slipped out on Monday morning by strapping himself to the underside of a food delivery truck, authorities say.</p>

<p>He was recaptured in west London on Saturday while cycling alongside a canal.</p>

<p>Mossad director David Barnea on Sunday, September 10, voiced Israel's apprehensions about Russia's possible sale of advanced weaponry to Iran. The Mossad chief was&nbsp;addressing the annual conference of the Institute for Counter-Terrorism Policy (ICT) held at Reichman University in Herzliya, Israel. Tensions between Israel and Iran have escalated significantly, particularly due to their differences over Iran's nuclear programme.</p>

<p>Barnea said that Iran had planned to supply Russia with both short and long-range missiles, in addition to Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) used in Russia's invasion of Ukraine. “They have intentions to sell other weapons that will also be foiled. Our fear is that the Russians will transfer advanced weapons to the Iranians in return, which will certainly endanger our peace and maybe even our existence here,” he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mossad director added that the attempts occurred “all over the world, in Europe, Africa, the Far East, and South America.”</p>

<p>“All this under the direction and guidance of Iran. We are working even at this moment to follow Iranian squads to prevent them from killing Jews and Israelis around the world,” Barnea continued.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>A warning to Iran</strong></h2>

<p>Barnea issued a stern warning, saying, “The time has come to exact a price from Iran in a different way. Harming Israelis and Jews in any way, by proxy or Iranian weapons smuggled into Israel, will lead to activity against the Iranians, from the ground operators to the highest ranks, and I mean that. These prices will be exacted in the depths of Iran, even in the heart of Tehran."&nbsp;</p>

We are grateful to the partners who tried to include strong wording in the text. However, in terms of Russia's aggression against Ukraine, G20 has nothing to be proud of."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Asked whether the absence of outright mention of Russia indicated dwindling support for Ukraine, Malhotra stated, "No, the absence of any mention of Russia in the Delhi Declaration does not signify dwindling military or political Western support for Ukraine."&nbsp;</p>

India offers support to Morocco after devastating earthquake, over 2000 deaths

<p>A seven-year-old girl, Aspen Brown, of Paragould City in the US state of Arkansas, found a sparkling 2.95-carat golden brown diamond while visiting a state park. The park while making the announcement in a press release said that Brown was visiting the park with her dad and grandmother to celebrate her birthday on September 1 when she tumbled on the diamond, a perfect gift for the little one.</p>

<p>She visited Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro where she found the second-largest diamond registered by a park guest this year. It is topped only by a 3.29-carat brown diamond discovered in March.</p>

<p>Luther Brown, the girl's dad said, “She got hot and wanted to sit down for a minute, so she walked over to some big rocks by the fence line. Next thing I know, she was running to me, saying ‘Dad! Dad! I found one!’”<br />

“Aspen’s diamond has a golden-brown color and a sparkling luster. UK records year's hottest day, 32.7 degrees Celsius in Heathrow

<p>After three days of manhunt, the former UK soldier Daniel Abed Khalife, who escaped from prison in a dramatic fashion, was arrested on Saturday (September 9), media reports said. The 21-year-old, who faces prosecution for terror-related offences, managed to escape from HM Prison Wandsworth on Wednesday morning (September 6).&nbsp;</p>

<p>London’s Metropolitan Police officials nabbed the fugitive before 11 am local time (6 am&nbsp;ET) in the Chiswick area of west London, the department said in a statement. It is the same area where the department had reinforced its search efforts. “Metropolitan Police officers have arrested Daniel Khalife, who escaped from HMP Wandsworth on Wednesday 6 September,” the police statement said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“We would like to thank the public and media for their support throughout our investigation to locate Khalife and we will provide a further update on his arrest in due course,” the statement added.</p>

<p>Met Police spokesperson had reportedly said, "An alert was issued by the Counter Terrorism Command earlier today in relation to Khalife through established operational briefing channels to relevant UK police and law enforcements agencies, including those at UK ports and borders."</p>

<h2><strong>Allegations</strong></h2>

<p>Khalife had been in custody, awaiting trial on charges related to terrorism and Official Secrets Act violations. He allegedly left fake devices at the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Stafford with the intention of inducing fear of explosion. He also obtained personal information about soldiers, potentially useful for terrorism, from the Ministry of Defence Joint Personnel Administration System in 2021. Following these actions, Khalife disappeared from MOD Stafford, leading to his arrest later in January.</p>
