<p>It went on to say that Beijing and Islamabad are using the same forum to thwart what it sees as propaganda and “malicious disinformation”.&nbsp;For this, the special report indicated, both countries have launched initiatives like the “CPEC Rapid Response Information Network” and, most recently, pledged to launch the China-Pakistan Media Corridor (CPMC).&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Nerve centre</strong></h2>

<p>The report also mentioned how both nations negotiated to establish a jointly operated “nerve centre” to monitor and shape Pakistan’s information environment. This was in 2021 when China sought to negotiate significant control over Pakistani media as part of the China-Pakistan Media Corridor.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Giving further details of the proposed nerve centre, the report said that the nations would have relied on “three mechanisms” and “two platforms” to carry out this mission.&nbsp;</p>

<p>McCarthy not only framed the move but he is now also seeking to move into Pelosi's office, as per reports.</p>

<p>Backing McCarthy, GOP Representative Garret Graves revealed on Wednesday (Oct 4) that McCarthy is set to occupy the office that interim Speaker Patrick McHenry had instructed Pelosi to vacate.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Look the deal is that the office that Pelosi is in right now is the office of the preceding speaker. Speaker Pelosi and other Democrats determined that they wanted a new … speaker, and it’s Kevin McCarthy. So, he’s getting the office,” he said.</p>

'Just crazy': UK faces rental crisis, one home has average 25 tenants waiting in queue

<p>China's ambitious Chang’e-8 moon mission, which is set for&nbsp;launch in 2028, is opening up doors for international players for equipment that will be used in the space mission. But what's noteworthy is the magnanimity of the space being provided to global players in the&nbsp;Chang’e-8&nbsp;lunar exploration project by China.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Mission’s deputy chief designer, Wang Qiong, gave details about the mission and its planning on Monday (Oct 2). He said that the Chang’e-8 moon mission will have a whopping 200kg (440lb) of payload capacity for countries who are keen on aiding China with equipment.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While speaking at the 74th International Astronautical Congress on Monday (Oct 2) in Baku, Azerbaijan, Wang said that these instruments could be the ones that are attached to the lander.</p>

<h2><strong>Letters of intent&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>Open for the international community to contribute, the Chang’e-8 moon&nbsp;exploration project by China is looking to uphold principles of "equality, mutual benefit, peaceful use, and win-win cooperation."</p>

<p>The deadline for submitting letters of intent has also been defined. It must be given to the China National Space Administration by the end of this year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>China said that preference will be given to innovative projects such as bots that can pick objects, such as lunar soil, from the moon's surface during the mission. Additionally, other scientific instruments which complement the Chinese equipment will be given priority.</p>

<p>Going a step further, CNSA is also open to mission-level cooperation for the Chang’e-8 moon mission. Under this, China and its partners would launch and operate their probes separately. However, once in orbit, there would be spacecraft-to-spacecraft interaction, Wang added.</p>

<h2><strong>A new milestone&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The previous payload contribution from other countries in China's lunar exploration has been significantly less and thus makes this new opportunity a first-ever of this magnitude.&nbsp;For instance, the Chang’e-6 mission, set for a potential launch next year, will carry less than 20kg of equipment from France, Sweden, Italy, and Pakistan. If successful, it would be the first mission to collect and bring back samples from the far side of the moon</p>

A new milestone The previous payload contribution from other countries in China's lunar exploration has been significantly less and thus makes this new opportunity a first-ever of this magnitude. <p>Annan and Al Mansoori enhanced existing masked stereolithography technology, which uses ultraviolet light to set the "inks." This modification allows for rapid and large-scale printing compared to previous 3D printing techniques.</p>

<p>Explaining their innovation, Annan stated, "[Our] technology supports mass production because it uses ultraviolet light. This type of printing has been done before using ultraviolet light with resin, but it's never been done before using edible material."</p>

<h2><strong>Challenges while creating the tech&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>One of the significant challenges faced by the two scientists has been making their technology understandable and accessible to a broader audience.</p>

<p>Annan noted the importance of bridging the gap in communication, stating, "There is a learning curve to be able to communicate it clearly so that it's not too alien. How do we communicate this without seeming like we're crazy?"</p>

<p>The United States has imposed sanctions on a China-based network responsible for producing and distributing "fentanyl, methamphetamine, and MDMA precursors," as per a statement by the&nbsp;treasury department. US Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has taken action by designating 28 individuals and entities connected to the "international proliferation of illicit drugs", including the said China-based drug network.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Those designated by OFAC are also engaged in the global trafficking of highly potent substances like xylazine and "nitazenes," often mixed with illicit fentanyl or other drugs, the statement added.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Illicit drug trade</strong></h2>

<p>Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Wally Adeyemo, while highlighting the decisive action being taken, said, “Treasury is taking sweeping action with our colleagues in law enforcement to expose and disrupt a network responsible for manufacturing and distributing illicit drugs, including fentanyl and other substances that take thousands of American lives each year."&nbsp;</p>

<p>The sanctions target 12 entities and 13 individuals based in China and two entities and one individual based in Canada.</p>

<p>The action was taken with the help of various agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigations, and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Department of Homeland Security’s US Customs and Border Protection agency.</p>

<p>Pakistan on Tuesday ordered all illegal immigrants, including 1.73 million Afghan nationals, to leave the country or face expulsion after revealing that 14 of the 24 suicide bombings in the country this year were carried out by Afghan nationals.</p>

<p>It was not immediately clear how Pakistani authorities could ensure the illegal immigrants leave, or how they could find them to expel them.</p>

<p>Islamabad's announcement marks a new low in its relations with Kabul which deteriorated after border clashes between the South Asian neighbours last month.</p>

<p>"We have given them a November 1 deadline," said Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti, adding that all illegal immigrants should leave voluntarily or face forcible expulsion after that date.</p>

<p>Bugti said some 1.73 million Afghan nationals in Pakistan had no legal documents to stay, adding a total of 4.4 million Afghan refugees living in Pakistan.</p>

<p>"There are no two opinions that we are attacked from within Afghanistan and Afghan nationals are involved in attacks on us," he said. "We have evidence."</p>

<p>Islamabad has received the largest influx of Afghan refugees since the Soviet invasion of Kabul in 1979.</p>

<p>Bugti was speaking in Islamabad after civil and military leaders met the prime minister and army chief to discuss law and order after a recent spate of militant attacks.</p>

<p>The violence has seen an unusual uptick since local Taliban militants known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an umbrella group of hardline Sunni Islamist militants, revoked a ceasefire with the government late last year.</p>

<p>The TTP wants to overthrow the Pakistani government to replace it with its strict rule under Islamic law.</p>
