It is unclear how many cotton candy-coloured lobsters are present in the wild, as per National Geographic.

This unique colour is due to a genetic condition, known as leucism, where there is a partial loss of pigmentation, say scientists.

In 2018, a Canadian lobsterman had also caught a lobster lacking pigmentation in this way. According to the Portland Press-Herald, it was then donated to the Huntsman Marine Science Centre aquarium in Saint Andrews.

Defending its student union's decision, a university in Britain said the training to students working in the adult sex work industry planned by the group is aimed at educating people about sex work and how to respond sensitively when someone discloses about the work in the industry.

Durham University, which is located in the city of Durham, England, added the training is not designed to encourage the students to enter the industry, but looks to destigmatise it.

A spokesperson of the university said, "We are emphatically not seeking to encourage sex work, but we are providing support to our students. We don’t judge. We listen, support and give practical help. We run many courses for students and staff on topics from mental health and well-being to drug and alcohol awareness."

The spokesperson added that eliminating the stigma related to this work can help students, who are vulnerable or at-risk, access "the support they need and to which they are entitled."

In an email, the Durham Student Union had recently advertised the training which laid out the union's stance on sex work and the importance of destigmatising it.

According to ‘Palatinate’, the university's student newspaper, the email read, “Student sex workers should not face any barriers to accessing support which is well informed and free from prejudice."

Mary Foy, Member of Parliament, Durham has also backed the decision of union. Foy said the university "consulted carefully before deciding to provide this support, engaging with student representatives, members of the university's sexual misconduct and violence operations group, equality, diversity, and inclusion unit, counselling and mental health service and safeguarding representatives.”

“This was not a decision made on a whim or to promote sex-work. The safety and well-being of students in Durham is paramount," Foy added.

The proposal has attracted backlash from Michelle Donelan, minister for higher and further education in Britain, who said, the training was an attempt to "normalise selling sex."

"I'm deeply concerned that any university is legitimising a dangerous industry which thrives on the exploitation of women. It is right that vital support is offered to women who are being exploited. However, this course seeks to normalise selling sex, which has no place in our universities," Donelan said.

After talks went over 24 hours, leaders at the summit reached a deal on Saturday. It also prompted ire after a last-minute change was forced over the wording about coal.

At the last minute, the Glasgow Pact was watered down with the language of unabated coal. The burning of coal without climate change mitigating technology was changed from 'phase out' to 'phase down'. The alteration attracted heated responses from European and vulnerable countries.

Sharma was also 'deeply sorry' for how the 'process' unfolded when he finalised the agreement.

After hearing from vulnerable nations, his voice broke with emotion, and he said, "May I just say to all delegates I apologise for the way this process has unfolded and I am deeply sorry. I also understand the deep disappointment but I think as you have noted, it's also vital that we protect this package."

If some leaked documents are to be believed, 23,000 mice were mercilessly killed by Rutgers University in 2020.

Although mice are used for experimentation, killing numerous after deeming them unnecessary is brutal.

The university lost $1.15 million worth "research animals required for student or postdoc training", revealed a recently publicised document of the financial department of the university.

In the recently leaked documents, it is revealed that around 23,000 mice, which were meant for testing, were euthanised in 2020. The mice were killed over concerns of losses due to the pandemic.

As per the notes, the school was forced to "eliminate" 4,600 cages of mice in March 2020, with each cage containing an average of five mice.

In 2020, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals alleged that a whistleblower presented them with "disturbing evidence" of the university ordering the suspension of "non-essential" research. It also included the killing of any animals involved in the cancelled experiments.

Rutgers Office of Research denied such claims when asked by the ‘Daily Targum’ about the disposal of animals. A spokesperson of the university later confirmed that the animals were euthanised but did not say how many.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has got embroiled in yet another controversy. In previously unpublished diary extracts by Johnson’s former lover Jennifer Arcuri, the US businesswoman revealed details of how the British leader allegedly overruled the advice of staff to promote her business interests to win her affection.

The diary entries were exclusively accessed and published by British publication 'The Observer'.
