German-Iranian Nahid Taghavi has returned to Germany after spending four years in an Iranian jail for rights activism, her family said on Monday.
Taghavi, 70, landed back in Germany on Sunday, human rights group Amnesty International said.&nbsp;
"After more than four years as a political prisoner in the Islamic Republic of Iran my mother #NahidTaghavi was freed and is back in Germany," Taghavi's daughter Mariam Claren wrote on X, sharing a picture of herself and her mother.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock commented on the post, describing Taghavi's release as "a great moment of joy".
Taghavi, a long-time activist who campaigned for women's rights and freedom of expression, was arrested in Tehran in October 2020.

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) issued a tsunami advisory for waves up to one metre following the earthquake off the Miyazaki prefecture in the Kyushu region at around 9.19 pm local time.
The agency said, "Tsunami can strike repeatedly. Please do not enter the sea or go near coastal areas."

Earlier, the US Geological Survey (USGS) revised its earthquake estimate down from 6.9 magnitude, saying that there was no tsunami threat from this quake.&nbsp;

A relative of the two men, Saneesh, said, " Binil&rsquo;s wife Joicy, who has been in touch with the Indian Embassy in Moscow, got the information. When she called officials, they verbally confirmed that Binil had died."
Saneesh added, "The officials said they had information in this regard from the Russian Army.&rdquo;

Ajith Kolassery, chief executive officer of NORKA ROOTS, the state government agency for non-resident Keralites&rsquo; affairs, said that they are awaiting the final confirmation from the External Affairs Ministry.&nbsp;

In his last message, Binil said that they are forced to move to the frontline of the war, which can endanger their life.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Mentally and physically, we are exhausted,&rdquo; Binil said in his message.&nbsp;

&ldquo;Stay alert about the danger of the sea, rivers and anywhere you don't know because the current in some places is usually very strong!&rdquo; he added.
Lobo describes that the woman looked tired and he quickly helped her on his back and swam to the shore with her along with his kite.
&ldquo;After sailing a few metres I heard a cry for help and looked at the girl who was drowning, I quickly approached her with the kite, I tried to calm her down and asked to climb on my back, she was quite tired and without strength, I used the equipment to bring her safely to the sand where the lifeguards performed the first aid at the seaside,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;Thanks to God, everything went well.&rdquo;
