<p>When French authorities grounded the plane over suspicions of human trafficking in Vatry, it had landed there for re-fuelling. The plane had come from United Arab Emirates. The authorities grounded the plane for several days after an anonymous tip-off about the flight&nbsp;carrying potential victims of human trafficking.</p>

<p>The plane was forced to return to India, and it landed at Mumbai airport on January 2. Two hundred seventy six of the 303 people on the passenger list had returned.</p>

<p>Two people out of those who stayed back in France were questioned by French police for a possible human trafficking angle but they were later released as it was revealed that the passengers had boarded the plane of their free will.</p>

<p>Thousands of passengers on Sunday, especially in the United States, faced flight cancellations which are likely to continue into next week as the airlines called in inspectors, in compliance with the order issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Meanwhile, 600 flights of&nbsp;Alaska Airlines and United Airlines were cancelled after Boeing 737 were grounded.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Alaska Airlines (ALK.N) said that 170 flights were cancelled on Sunday (Jan 7) and another 60 flights on Monday (Jan 8) after the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)&nbsp; gave orders to ground 171 Boeing (BA.N) 737 MAX 9 aeroplanes. The airline stated that the cancellations are likely to continue in the first half of the week. Nearly 25,000 passengers were affected in cancellations on&nbsp;Sunday (Jan 7).</p>

<h2><strong>Boeing 737 Max 9 jets to stay grounded till found "safe": FAA&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>The US aviation regulator said that 171 Boeing 737 Max 9 jets are set to remain grounded till they are satisfied about the safety of the planes.</p>

<p>The jets are being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) after the door fell off on Friday (Jan 5). The FAA said that its first priority was "keeping the flying public safe".</p>

<p>Speaking to the staff, Boeing's CEO Dave Calhoun said that its response "is and must be" the company's focus.</p>

<p>“The circuit breaker was not pulled,” said Homendy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The victim informed the police that she had been abducted approximately four or five years earlier while pregnant and soliciting on the street.</p>

<p>As per the complaint, Carter initially approached the woman to offer her $1 and after a while returned, asking if she needed help. Subsequently, he instructed her to enter his car. Despite feeling "vulnerable" and going "against her better judgment," she complied and got into his vehicle.</p>

<p>The victim somehow gained access to Carter's laptop and utilized the Text Now application to reach out to the police. She detailed her attempts to escape earlier by breaking a window. Although she was initially taken to a hospital, Carter retrieved her from there and returned her to his residence.</p>

<p>Engaging in public display of the Nazi salute, showcasing the Nazi&nbsp;Hakenkreuz (wrongfully referred to as Swastika) or&nbsp;double-sig rune associated with the Schutzstaffel (SS) paramilitary group will be a punishable offence by up to&nbsp;12 months in prison.</p>

<p>Displaying any symbol associated with proscribed terrorist outfits such as Hamas, Islamic State or the Kurdistan Workers' Party (KKK) would carry similar prison terms.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Notably, the legislation was first introduced in June last year and passed in December.&nbsp;</p>
