The Mexican president talked to&nbsp;reporters on Thursday (Nov 28) after Trump threatened to impose a 25 per cent tariff on Mexico and Canada and an additional 10 per cent on Chinese products.&nbsp;

On November 27, Trump took to Truth Social claiming that Sheinbaum had “agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border”.

In her address on November 28, Sheinbaum clarified that she did not agree to close the border.

US President-elect Donald Trump on Monday (Nov 25) said that he will impose a massive 25 per cent tariff on all products which will be imported from Mexico and Canada over the neighbouring countries' failure to crack down on illegal immigration and drug trade. He also vowed to slap another 10 per cent tariff on China over drug trafficking.

“As everyone is aware, thousands of people are pouring through Mexico and Canada, bringing Crime and Drugs to levels never seen before,” wrote Trump on his social media platform Truth Social.&nbsp;

A former childcare worker, Ashley Paul Griffith, was sentenced to life in jail in Australia for raping and sexually assaulting almost 70 girls, all minor. He was known as one of Australia's "worst paedophiles."&nbsp;

The 47-year-old confessed to around 307 offences he committed at childcare centres in the Australian state of Queensland and Italy.&nbsp;

He committed the&nbsp;offences between 2003 to 2022, and his victims were kids from the age of one to seven.&nbsp;

While sentencing him, the judge called the offences committed by him "depraved" and "horrendous".&nbsp;

Judge Paul Smith further added that &nbsp;"there was a significant breach of trust."

Griffith was further separately accused of sexually abusing an unknown number of children in the state of New South Wales.&nbsp;

The court also added that since Griffith had a "paedophilic disorder," there was a high chance of him repeating the offences.&nbsp; Hence, the judge ordered a non-parole period of at least 27 years for Griffith.&nbsp;

Adding to his heinous act, Griffith ruploaded videos and photographs of him sexually assaulting children onto the dark web, investigation revealed.

In all those videos and photographs, the faces of the victims were cropped, but the investigators still traced them to Griffith because of the same bedsheet visible. It was&nbsp;found that the bedsheet was sold to childcare centres across Queensland.

Griffith was charged with 28 counts of rape, almost 200 charges relating to indecent treatment of a child, and several related to making and sharing child exploitation material.

Talking to The Courier Mail, some of his victims shared their grief and the damage he left on their lives.&nbsp;

Around 25 protesters were handcuffed by the police “without incident”, as per media reports.

The police saw some unruly protesters being pried away forcibly and flipping over their stomachs to get handcuffed.

Meanwhile, other protesters stood up themselves and walked away with the police from the parade.&nbsp;

”This is disgusting. There are times and places to peacefully protest, but not the Thanksgiving day parade. This a day for families to enjoy and not be interrupted by these a**holes," said a Brooklyn cop.

Taking to X, independent reporter Talia Jane said the protesters were “autonomous anti-genocide activists". The parade was disrupted for five minutes because of the antics of the protesters.
