World's glaciers thinning at alarming rate, contain less ice than expected: Study

According to a study, the world glaciers are shrinking at a rapid volume than previously estimated. The calculation has raised concern among communities relying on the melting of glaciers to feed rivers and irrigate crops. The revised estimation would decrease global sea-level rise by 3 inches if all glaciers were to melt.
