A quirky sporting tradition brought excitement to Surrey, England, as competitors took part in a challenging wife-carrying obstacle race inspired by a Finnish sport. The event featured a hilly course packed with obstacles including hay bales and water pits, testing strength, balance, and teamwork.
Participants raced while carrying their partners: who don’t necessarily have to be their spouses — using different techniques, including the popular “Estonian carry”, where the partner is carried upside down on the racer’s back.
