Deal between the United States and South Korea is in a flux following Donald Trump’s demand for a 350 billion dollar upfront investment. Seoul says paying in cash is impossible, as the sum represents nearly 70 to 80 percent of its foreign reserves. Instead, it is proposing loans, loan guarantees, and a currency swap with Washington to soften the economic impact.
