Iran has warned that any logistical or service support provided to the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford could be treated as a target, as tensions escalate in the ongoing conflict.
Iranian military officials said facilities supporting the carrier in the Red Sea are now considered legitimate targets, describing the deployment as a direct threat.
The warning comes amid reports that the carrier strike group is operating near Saudi waters, raising concerns about the role of regional allies. Tehran has signalled that any country aiding U.S. military operations could face consequences.
The USS Gerald R. Ford, one of the most advanced U.S. aircraft carriers, has been deployed as part of Washington’s expanding military presence in the region as the conflict with Iran intensifies.
