US-Iran War: India Denies Claims US Navy Used Indian Ports In Iran Warship Strike | WION

India’s Ministry of External Affairs has rejected claims that the US Navy used Indian ports before a submarine strike on an Iranian warship. The foreign ministry called the allegations “fake and false” and warned against “baseless and fabricated comments”. The statement came after remarks by former Pentagon adviser Douglas MacGregor during an appearance on One America News Network. The denial comes amid scrutiny over a reported US submarine attack on the Iranian frigate IRIS Dena. US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said the submarine sank the Iranian warship in international waters off Sri Lanka’s coast. Authorities in Sri Lanka say bodies have been recovered and wounded sailors rescued. The frigate reportedly had around 180 crew members onboard. The vessel was returning from an international fleet review in Visakhapatnam, India, when the incident occurred.
