US President Donald Trump reportedly called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to help broker a ceasefire between Israel and Syria after a week of deadly sectarian violence. The ceasefire, mediated by the United States, led to the evacuation of Bedouin civilians trapped in Sweida and brought a temporary halt to the escalating bloodshed.
