TTP launches new militant wing to target police in Punjab province

The Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has formed a new branch called Istrna, which is made up of fierce, well-trained, and well-equipped militants who will target the army and law enforcement personnel stationed in Punjab province. The new faction is suspected by Pakistani officials of having ties to a terrorist organization situated in a neighboring nation.
