TTD slams Shivakumar's Tirupati 'aarti' plan, calls it political
A new row has erupted at Tirupati. Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar’s proposal to do the ceremonial first ‘Aarti’ at the Tirumala temple has been shot down by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. TTD said don’t turn Tirupati into a political arena and called the proposal "unilateral". For millions of devotees, the temple is about faith, not photo-ops or politics.
