As Beijing intensifies its pressure campaign against the island republic, China is getting ready to invade Taiwan with an armada of ferries and civilian vessels. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) could fill the void left by the lack of amphibious landing craft by staging an invasion akin to the one witnessed on D-Day with the help of civilian vessels.
