State of affairs in Myanmar: Military coup seizes power, ousts civilian government

Myanmar’s military seized power on February 1, ousting the civilian government and arresting its leaders. Thousands of civil servants and workers have been sacked or been forced to quit for protesting against the coup. But people are continuing to protest even though the intensity of the protests has become low owing to the pandemic.
