Sri Lanka's Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said that politicians never retire and that he has decided not to contest the 2024 Parliamentary Elections. Rajapaksa clarified stating that not contesting the 2024 Parliamentary polls is only a temporary decision made by him and that he had not retired from politics.
