Tensions between Russia and Ukraine escalated sharply as Ukrainian drones reportedly struck a Moscow oil refinery for the second time in a week. Russia’s Defence Ministry claimed its air defences intercepted hundreds of drones across multiple regions, including a large number near the capital. At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelensky is seeking stronger support from the United States and Europe as the conflict intensifies, with both sides expanding aerial operations and raising fears of further escalation.
