Paris Olympics 2024: Italian boxer Carini quits, Khelif at the centre of gender storm
A huge controversy has erupted at the Paris Olympics. Italian boxer Angela Carini has quit her bout against Algeria's Imane Khelif in 46 seconds in the Women's 66 kg category. Khelif is in the spotlight after she was disqualified at the 2023 World Championship over a failed gender test with many against her participation in the women's event and deeming her a 'biological male'.
